This day was strange for Neal, he had woken up in the same location for multiple days in a row. He had only come to this town in order to make sure he was able to save his father's life, and he was staying here for Henry. Neal knew that Tamara had probably headed off for her marathon training, so it was just him for a while until Henry finished his school day. Standing up and glancing out of the window of his room at Granny's Bed and Breakfast, he looked down at the buildings down below. He saw so many buildings there, most of them were the necessary ones that a town needed, but, there were one or two that weren't really all that necessary, but, were just there. After getting dressed in a light coloured t-shirt and jeans with a pair of sneakers, Neal made his way out of his room and headed downstairs to the Diner, grabbing some food to go, before wandering the town for a while. If he was sticking around, he should know what and where everything is. He saw a general store, an animal shelter, a fire and sheriff's station, a hospital and a town hall and elementary school. It seemed like this curse or whatever of Regina's, and his fathers, had pretty much made the town have everything that was needed, but, not much else. It seemed like this place would've been pretty boring for the 28 years before Emma showed up. Neal soon spotted his father's store not too far down the path from where his accommodation was located. He wanted more then anything, to make the knowledge of that too just disappear, but, he knew it wasn't possible his father was here, back in his life, and he couldn't do anything about it. Reaching the door Neal sighed softly as he stopped outside of it. Should he go in there? Neal had promised Henry that he would try and work things out with his father, and he figured this was as good a time as any. Neal sighed softly again, before he placed his hands in his pockets and gently pushed the door open, making his way inside his papa's shop. "Papa, are you in here?" papa, are you in here? Rumple normally would have cringed at such a ridiculous question. It his shop and its unlocked, where else would he be? But it was the baritone voice of his bae that made the dark one's head shoot up from polishing a chalice . Placing the cloth and shining pewter cup on to his desk. Rumple stood up from his desk. Moving around the dark chestnut wood of the desk making his way from the back of the shop heading toward the front of the store. This was a rare visit from his boy considering Neal had recently expressed a strong disliking toward him. Buttoning his double breasted suit, dark big eyes wander over Bae in a state of confusion. Bae , hello son what do I owe to have you grace me with your presence ? his long stride made him get behind counter briskly . because if I remember I hadn't changed , so if your here to pound that into me please do us both a favor and stop I know you can't and won't see all that I'm trying to do to rebuild our bond. But I also know that I'm a patient man and eventually you will Bae and that gives me hope. Neal Cassidy

Seeing his papa come out from the back room of his store, Neal sighed softly. He was hoping he wasn't here, but, at the same time was glad that he was. It was really a grey area there. At his papa's question, Neal rested his hands on the counter trying to work out a way to answer that. He was about to answer, when his papa continued. “Look papa it's not that. Oh believe me you definitely haven't, but, the reason I came here wasn't to remind you of that. I actually came here to attempt to get to know you again. But, if you have that attitude I could just go then” Neal said, adjusting his jacket and gesturing to the door. “I'm sure you believe that papa.” Neal sighed softly and looked at the ground. “You seem to not want me here, so, I guess there's no point in me staying here then.” Neal said, as he turned away, placing something that his father gave him years ago on the counter, and went to make his way out of the store. Closing his eyes in frustration how was this so hard ? Bae please wait . he was still trying let go of the painful words both had said in New York. Don't go stay I would like for us to get to know one another once more. giving a faint small smile.
Rumple had held their meeting in such find reguards. They would embrace laugh , cry , talk of good days some of the bad . Yet in the end Bae would forgive him..but that was a dream.
flip the sign on the door and meet in the back. some stories break your heart like this one . Had they gone beyond the point of mending? Turning on the balls on his feet the scuffle of leather shoes against the hard floor rang out through the store. Ambling slowly back to the back of store perhaps his this was his punishment for dark deeds. Pushing through the curtains entering the back waving his hands making another chair appear. Now if Bae would stay was up to his boy.

Hearing his papa telling him to wait made Neal stop mid-step just before he reached the door of the shop. Neal kept his hands in his jacket pocket and slowly turned back to face his father looking down at the ground rather then his eyes. The words that were said back in his apartment in New York were harsh he'd admit, but, they were needed. Neal looked up at his papa's next words, "I wanted that too. It's why I came here." Neal said, returning his papa's smile. Neal wasn't sure what was going to come from this talk, but, he wanted to try anyway. In his head, the talks he'd had with his father growing up were mainly him just asking questions he knew would never get answered, since his papa hadn't wanted to be in his life anymore. His next words telling him to flip the sign, Neal turned on the heels of his shoes, the balls of his sneakers scuffing as he did so. Neal stayed close to the door, and held his hands on the bottom edge of the sign. Should he do this so that he and his papa could talk in peace? Or should he just go? Neal let out a soft sigh and nodded as he flipped the sign to 'closed', before heading back to the room his papa was talking about. Stopping by the desk, and picking up the necklace he placed on there, holding the chain in his hands. "You know papa, I remember when you gave me this necklace. You told me that if I had it then I'd always be connected to you." Neal said, before fully entering the back room and looking up at his papa, and keeping the necklace in his fingers. NecklaceRumple remembered the necklace it held many purposes . The clear crystal ment to keep pure in ones actions and protect. As long as Bae was near magic the boy would be protected for as long as he had necklace. I remember clearly my boy, I gave it to you on your birthday . We had saw it the necklace before I changed in to Dark One . frowning his back still to Bae hands in pockets on his dark dress pants. Sighing turning about to see the necklace dangling in Bae's hands. So many enemies would love to see the dark one suffer. bae you may hate me but you kept the necklace why? I thought I meant nothing to you any more? glancing up at his son with hooded eyes. you should put it back on it always suited you more so then anyone could. It was if the necklace was made for you. he smiled sadly

Neal wasn't quite sure whether the crystal held some kind of purpose when his papa gave it to him, but, he vaguely remembered his papa telling him that it would protect him. "Yeah, I remember that too. Everytime I wore the necklace, the moment came into my head. It was a reminder of who you once were before the dagger came into your life." Neal said, sighing softly still looking at the necklace in his hand while the other one sat in his jeans pocket. Neal glanced towards his father as he turned around, smiling softly. At his papa's question Neal lowered his head "I don't know papa. There were times when I wanted to get rid of it, but, I could never bring myself to do it. I think it was because the necklace was the last connection I had to home. You didn't, but, the necklace meant something. It helped me remember one of the only places I ever belonged." Neal said, sighing softly as he looked back up at his papa. "It did. I guess it is like it was made for me." Neal said, as he placed it back around his neck. "So this is your business here then huh?" Good the necklace reminded him of home and of his papa. Rumple smiled at that , it gave the dark one a small ray of hope. It meant that Bae, could forgive him. Watching Neal slide the necklace back on , good if helped to ground you then the item did it a job. With so few happy moments one should hold on to the bright spots. crossing his arms over his chest yes Mr.Good made a business and profitable one out selling and buying peoples dreams. No different from what I was doing when the enchanted forest . why do you ask? Rumple braced him self for the lecture from his son.

Growing up in this world the necklace was all Neal really had to remind him that he did belong somewhere once, and, maybe he could belong again someday. It was a fool's dream, but, he kept it anyway. The necklace, and the hope. Neal's gaze went around his papa's store as he finished fastening the necklace around his neck again. "I guess it did. Yeah, definitely hold onto the bright spots." Placing his hands in his pockets, Neal looked at his papa as he explained what his business was here, just like back in the Forest all those years ago. Neal knew that a lecture wouldn't be worth it, and, it would ruin what he was trying to do. At his question, Neal looked at him and smiled softly "I was just curious. If I'm going to get to know you again, I might as well know what you do. If it's the same as what you did in the Forest, it may make it easier with this part."Mr.Gold/Rumpelstiltskin |

Perking his brows this was the last thing he thought his son would ever want to do anything involving this business. Lowering his arms down by his sides relaxing his posture. its a bit like what I did in the enchanted forest. All the items here in the shop are items that were sold and barter to me for magic.
Bae didn't need to know the dirty details or whether the deals worked or not . people should have worded their desires more carefully if they had truly wished for happinesses. Right now Belle is having document everything in thing in the store. She has given me month to do so . if you don't mind paper work please stay I warn you though its not going to be exciting? Shrugging his shoulders slightly I know not really what you expected. But I am trying to behave
