After the curse
Belle open the library door allowing the light to bust through she blocked it open with bucket full of soapy water. The wavy hair brunette looked at all the dust and grime and sighed "this might take a while (she smirk at the idea of this being all hers) but once its done it will be a safe haven for people and for books." Belle walked over to the counter and pick a hammer"first things first. Time to get the window cleared." She twirled the hammer in her hand as walked outside and began to pry the nails out of the wood.

As soon as Red heard that the library was now open again, she walked over right away. She wanted to get out of that diner as well, things were slow that day. Red made her way down main street, and arrived at the library a couple of minutes later. Red peaked through the windows, which were still covered in newspaper. She was able to make out that someone was inside renovating the place. Red knocked on the door, and hoped that whoever was inside would let her in. Red rocked on the balls of her heels as she waited.

Belle jumped at the knock at the door and slowly walked toward the door "Hello" she asked peeking her head out the door. Belle saw a tall brunette stand there with a friendly smile giving a small wave. "The library isnt open right now sorry its in the process of getting cleaning it up. " she open the door some more allowing herself to step outside, she wiped her hand on her overalls to get the dirt off." Where are my manners (Belle held her hand out.) My name is Belle and you are?"

Red took Belle's hand and shook it, smiling.
"It's nice to meet you Belle, I'm Red. Or Ruby, whichever one you prefer." Red said as she looked into the library. It was a little shabby, and it looked like it could use some serious cleaning up. "Hey, did we know each other before- you know?" Red said with an emphasis on the 'you know' meaning the curse. Her memories were still foggy. Was she Ruby? Or Red? Who was who? Red wondered if she had met Belle before. Red took a couple steps back from the library's entrance. "Wow. It looks like you could really use some help cleaning up this place." Red said. She would be able to help Belle fix the library, and get back to the diner for dinner. She hoped Granny wouldn't mind her staying out until then.

Belle smiled as she shook Ruby hand "and you as well." She wrapped her arms around her back "No we didnt ,(she made her lips into a tight thin line) i was locked away by Regina during the curse." Belle walked back into the library she wanted to forgetting those memories of that cold bleek cell. She turned around when Ruby ask if she would like some help" oh yes please if not i fear i will be for a while." She gave a dry chuckle .

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that." Red said to Belle. She couldn't imagine having been locked away from the rest of the world for twenty-eight years. "Do you remember why she had locked you up?" Red asked, curious now. She wanted to know how Belle had survived this whole time. As they entered the library, the smell of old books filled Red's nose, and she inhaled it all in. There were plenty of things that Red could do to help clean up the place. "Oh it really doesn't matter how long I stay, I'm not worried." Red said as she pushed the thought of Granny getting annoyed with her in the back of her mind. Red's boots made a soft clicking noise as they walked across the floor.

"Thank you(she gave her a quick sad smile) the reason i was locked up is because i fell in love with..(she bit her bottom lip not sure if she should tell Ruby about Rumpelstiltskin. Most people didnt react very well with that knowledge . Case in point being put in that dang cell.) Someone she didnt like." She walked over to the one of the newspaper covered windows and began to pull off the paoer. " well good you can start anywhere you like ."

"Oh, I've been there sister." Red said, recalling the time that Granny would keep her locked in their wooden cabin during Wolf's Time. Red hated that memory because she loved someone then, and he loved her back but Granny didn't approve of their love for each other. Red later found out the reason she was kept inside was because she was the wolf, and he wasn't, but it was already too late. Red snaked through the shelves filled with books, checking out the titles before she began cleaning.
"I guess I'll start by dusting things off," Red announced across the room. "Got anything I could dust with?" Red asked as she looked around the library herself for anything she could use.

Belle turned around and looked at Ruby with a confuse look on her face. " Regina put you away to ? How did she get you ?"he moved to the the cleaning supplies. " well we cloth scraps to dust with ." Belle held one out to the brunette." I figure we couod try to the major things out of the way then go from there. " Belle smiled warmly "ummm as a thank you perhaps i could buy you dinner torpay your kindness."

"Oh no, it wasn't Regina! I meant that I've been in your position," Red said as she turned to face Belle. When Belle offered to pay for dinner, Red smiled. "That sounds wonderful!" Red said as she began dusting off the old books so they could get dinner somewhere. Red was glad that she decided to come to the library. It was a nice change in scenery. Red could honestly say that she wasn't too fond of working in the diner alongside Granny. It was fun, but it could be tedious as well especiallt when Granny would nag her to do something.
