Neal was alone, and, only admitting it out loud made him feel worse about it all. Glancing towards Lily, Neal smiled softly as she looped his arm in his and the two of them continued to walk together. “I can? I like the sound of that.” Neal said, looking at her and returning the smile Lily gave him. He didn't regret saving this girl from security, because thanks to her, this day was turning out better then he thought it would. “As much as I like the sound of that, I don't really think that's possible. My social worker would probably come looking for me eventually. I trust you can keep me safe, but, when the combination of my social worker and my foster parents get involved, it probably won't happen.” Neal looked down at the ground, his bottom lip still quivering slightly. Neal raised his eyebrows slightly, as Lily jerked him to a halt. At her question, Neal looked up at her, kicking the air in front of him gently. “No, it's not like that. It's just I don't belong there. I'm not like them. I know it, and, so do they. It's more of an emotional pain there.” Neal said, running his fingers around the crystal that was hanging around his neck.

He felt different just like her . this just prove to lily that Neal must stay with her , two people who felt the same would understand each other then being among those who nothing of not feeling like they belong to their cookie cutter world. I can show you how to hide and blend in you won't ever have to worry the social worker again Neal. You just have to stay with me it was a mix of selfishness and no longer wanting to have no one in corner with Neal there lily wouldn't have to be alone any more. I understand you that why I ran from my home. My parents I...I didn't feel like I belong with them and I don't . I know somewhere out there my real family awaits. I wouldn't mine the company if you would like to go with me try find them? she asked pleadingly hoping the Neal would say yes.

Admitting out loud that he felt different to his foster family, and like he didn't belong was hard. He hadn't belonged anywhere since the Darlings countless years ago. He didn't fit in there, Neal knew that his foster brothers belonged with his foster parents, because they were the blood children of them, while he wasn't. “You can? That would be awesome. I know they mean well, but, they never listen to me anyway. And they'll just take me back there, or to a new one that I won't belong with. Stay with you?” Neal asked, thinking about that offer. Neal liked Lily, and, in the short time they'd known each other he felt a bigger sense of belonging then he ever had with his foster parents. Neal didn't want to be alone anymore, and that didn't mean another foster home. It meant being somewhere he felt wanted, and like he belonged. Hearing that she ran away from her family, Neal sighed softly, he knew those feels. His real family, his papa, was worlds away and hadn't wanted him. He knew his was out there, but, there was no chance of getting to it, so this was all he had now. “Glad to know I'm not the only one with that feeling. Lately I feel like I am, since everywhere I go, I see people happy with their families. Knowing they have somewhere to belong. I'd love to help you try and find your family. Is there anything you have to help find them?” Neal asked, knowing they'd need something, but, he also knew the longer it took, the longer he could have that sense of belonging with someone.

She gazed at him with surprise smiling widely lily reached up unhooking her necklace. Fingers traced over the abalone shell crescent moon pendant. this this is all I have of my real family taking a hold of his hand placing the necklace in to his palm.
if you help me I'll owe you ,any time and any place . you name the task im your bud this would make the first time someone had offered to help. Surely luck would changing after that crazy old man told her those tales maybe just maybe lily could really meet her parents and not the fairytale of some drunk old Yoda.

Seeing Lily hand him the necklace, he raised his eyebrows at the realisation of how much they actually did have in common. Neal smiled as she placed it into his hand looking down at it. "It's amazing, and, quite unique." Neal said, glancing up at her and smiling before glancing down, and, keeping Lily's necklace in one hand he went to undo his own necklace. "This is all I have of my real father too." Neal placed it in Lily's hand, as he took another closer look at Lily's necklace.
At her offer to help him in return, Neal looked up at her and nodded "I'll keep that in mind. But, right now, I don't need anything, but, to avoid my foster parents and social worker. But, I may take you up on that offer later." Neal knew that it may be needed at some point, but, for right now, he was just helping Lily find her parents, even if he couldn't be with his, he wouldn't stop someone else being with their family.

thanks taking his necklace in her hands examining the item carefully it was beautifully crafted . it reminded her of the necklace her own mother had given her. where did your dad get it? Maybe my mom got it from the same place? unable to hide the hope in her voice.
Handing back Neal his necklace not wanting not to lose the precious belonging . well if your wanting to avoid them why not run away with me? No rules no one telling you what to do . we could be free to find our rightful place. Just the two of us?
It had been a while since she felt a connection with anyone. Bowing her head readying herself for the key down.

"You're welcome.” Neal watched Lily examine his necklace wanting her to be careful with it. Neal took another look at Lily's necklace, before looking up at Lily's question about where his father got his necklace. “My father got it from a stall run by a strange gypsy back when I was a really young kid. I'm not sure whether your mother would've gotten it from the same place. But, there's a chance.” Neal wasn't lying about that, he was just being vague about where exactly he'd gotten it.
Neal took his necklace back from Lily as she handed it back to him. “No rules and no one telling me what to do. I like the sound of that. Running away would be easy, I'm already far from where I'm actually registered in the foster system. Free to find a sense of belonging again. The two of us?”
Thinking over everything in his head, Neal realised that with those conclusions he would be better off with Lily. “I'd love that.” Neal said, smiling softly. “Let's do it.” Neal placed his necklace back around his neck, as he smiled at Lily.

That's all Lily needed the hear from Neal. Smiling before taking off running into the woods near the park. Making her way down the now abandoned bike trail. Not needing to glance back at boy she had a gut feeling that he was there behind her .
The sun blazed through the leaves the warmth felt good as Minnesota winters would be jolting up on them soon. Needing to remember the feeling of the sun for soon it would be gone and the chilly days would be left behind in its place .
Picking up speed as the Hubble appeared as she around some trees laughing heartily . sliding into the entrance boots skidding against the leaf covered floor.spinning about to finally face Neal a huge smile on her lips Not something to really look at but it will she is old beauty but a good one

Neal smiled at Lily, as she ran off into the woods, but, Neal just placed his hands in his jacket pockets as he ran after Lily. He soon spotted the park and what looked like an abandoned bike path. He continued to follow Lily towards where she seemed to be headed.
He glanced up as he saw the sun shining down on him, it had been a while since he'd felt the real sun of any kind. Neal also knew that winter was soon going to be coming, but, would he still be in Minnesota by then to witness it?
His attention was turned back to Lily as she seemed to pick up speed. And he paused slowly as he noticed where exactly they were. What a weird place to have a hide-out, but, he wasn't one to judge really. He had spent the past century of his life sleeping in a cave. It was kind of cool seeing this though. Neal glanced towards Lily as she finally turned back towards him. "I think it's brilliant" Neal said, looking over at Lily before glancing back to the hide-out.

not really sure why his approval meant the world to her. lily returned Neal's smile as she went to the metal barrel that she had ''borrowed'' to use for a fire place. throwing some more newspapers in to the contain with one hand and grabbing the lighter nestled in her jeans pocket. before throwing the last bit of paper in the barrel she lit it on fire. as the fire raged on the light of it blazed through hubble. I stay at places for a short time . usually no longer then a month. shoving the bic yellow lighter back in to the jeans pocket. its so you don't have to much attention drawn to you. in another words I will be going in few days. I here Duluth is nice this time of year. walking over to the stone steps flopping down leaning back to rest . your more then welcome to join me you know . Neal you handled the guard really well besides I could use the help me.
