What could be worse then a love's betrayal Tamara thought for a few minutes before the notion dawned on her. A frown mared her ebony skin Family . A betrayal of family was the thing to cause such anguish . She shouldn't be feeling for the guy he was a get in get out situation. But he was so sad in a tiny way Tamara wanted to see him smile.
I'm sure that's not true . I'm sure some one loves you. Or maybe you haven't given them enough time to get to that point shyly smiling ducking her head. Needing to ensure another date the more she sit with the guy more information she can gather for home office. your nice when your spilling coffee on people . So I can imagine the line growing long you just have to let people in Neal. My Grandfather use to tell me that the only way to live is with all your heart. How can you live with only a tiny part? Not possibly Mon Cher, for loving some one or something isn't ever wrong. Its wrong to close off your heart
Smiling Tamara missed her family so much it killed her to have to remember anything of them. Lifting a hand up to wipe a tear the slipped from her eye. Quickly she got her head in the game, laughing at his worse experience of New York. my first day here lets start from the beginning . I got food poisoning from the air port food, making it to times square I was then mugged. They took everything except for my spare cash I keep hidden. I ended up in staying possibly in one the layers of hell don't quote me on that . I petted what I thought was dog but no it was a rat. So it was chain of random events really.

Neal knew that it probably sounded strange with it being worse then a lovers betrayal. Family was the answer to that pure and simple. He had been betrayed by his father all those years ago, and Hook, the closest thing he'd had to a father figure after that had done the same thing when he handed him over to Felix and the other Lost Boys, and in turn Pan as well.
“I'm sure it is. No-one's in my life not since a long time ago.” Neal said, sighing softly. It was true that he hadn't had someone to love him for the past 11 years since he stupidly decided to let Emma go. And now there was no-one, and it was the reason he rarely opened his heart and had built up his walls once again. Listening to Tamara's words he smiled softly “Well, that's not true. I've never had anyone wanting me for years. What's the point in opening my heart though, when everytime I have, I've always ended up with it broken or losing whoever I let in. It's just easier not to bother straight away.” Neal said, keeping his hands in his jacket pockets.
Neal missed his family, well, more so Wendy and the Darlings and Emma, rather then his papa and Hook. Everytime he saw their faces in his head he just felt his heart-break all over again. Even more so with his papa, since he was the one he'd let in the most, besides Emma of course. Neal blinked back the tears that were coming to his eyes, as he tightened the fists in the pockets of his jacket. A smile grew on Neal's face as he heard her chuckle at his worst experience in New York to date. Neal returned the chuckle, before listening to Tamara's answer. “That sounds like a terrible experience, but, at least you have that memory.” Neal said, letting out a soft chuckle at her answer as they both continued to walk.

aren't you little ray of sunshine Tamara joked pointing to the left head up the busy sidewalk exiting the park. This guys was so up tight that is she tried to throw a rock off him she had no doubt that that the guy would shatter the stone. the diner was quickly coming into view, okay I know that who ever hurt must have done a incredible job of mucking things up, but every one deserves to be happy Neal . you cant allow some to have that much power over your life. if you do then what type would you be living at all? glancing at him sadly she could understand his pain of not wanting anyone close . shaking her head it was unwise to think like that Tamara scolded her self. that meant she was beginning to develop something for the guy which was dangerous . That could throw the whole mission in turmoil but hey what do I know I ran away from pain to escape . maybe its best I don't give advice laughs dryly.

"Yeah, I guess I am" Neal said, knowing that it was sarcasm, but, agreeing with it either way. Neal knew that with the walls that he had, that he may not seem like it, but, in his mind it was safer this way. If you don't let people in, then there's less chance of being hurt. Neal saw the diner up ahead as they left the park. "That they did. They mucked up big time. I don't think he has power over me anymore. I know I probably do deserve happiness, but, tell that to every so called 'family' I've had in my life. I guess you're right, but, when you've been alone as long as I have, it's easier that way." Neal was always scared that by letting someone close again, he would lose them and end up hurt. It had happened with his papa, Hook, Lily and Emma. He probably couldn't handle it if it happened all over again. Neal kept his hands in his pockets as he continued to walk with Tamara. He was starting to feel something inside him, even if it had just been a short time. Neal knew that it was probably slightly dangerous feeling like that. But, he was the kind of man that would always care for people, even if he didn't let them past his walls. "Running away is easy. I've done it alot myself, but, I do appreciate the help."

Shaking her head sighing lightly pinching the bridge of sloped nose. Side glancing at Neal, I thought you said this person had no more power over you? this wasn't her problem but with these walls up and mile high Tamara knew sue wouldn't be getting any where as long as he was guard.
listen if the person that doesn't have power over you then you should be more open to life. If you don't then your life will pass you by in a long lines of what if's and maybes. Take back your freedom Neal or one day you will realize you guarded your self so much that you have no to love or vice versa. having to bite her tongue so not over step to much this wasn't her life it had to be is choice.

Neal continued to walk with Tamara, and lowered his head as he mentioned his papa still having the power over him, even though he'd been gone from his life for countless years. Raising his head, Neal shook his head softly "Oh trust me he doesn't." Neal said, before taking the necklace off of his neck and placed it in his pocket. His walls were over centuries of build-up, so, it was harder for him to let people in straight away. If at all.
"I guess you're right, you need my freedom. I've been trapped for too long. I've had so many what-if's and maybes, more then I can handle. Freedom's been a rare thing for me most of my life, it could be nice to actually have it for once. My guard's served me well before, everytime someone's let me down it's been there. I don't know if I could let it down completely right now." Neal was surprised at how opinionated Tamara was, and blunt as well.

seeing Neal remove the necklace from his neck. arching a brow at this action wondering if that was something the man's father had given him? biting her bottom lip not wanting to engage into a deeper more painful subject . no when the time came Neal would talk to her about that he would do this of his own free will. opening the door of the restaurant holding it open to him as she entered first.
that's understandable I mean when I lost my nana I ..well it took a lot for me to what to up again. all I'm saying is don't close your self off completely because then all the good cant get in. What kind of life would that be? safe one yes but a bitter lonely. oh oh look at booth im grabbing it pointing off the one in the back corner. bouncing off Tamara took off the purse that hung off her side laying it on the table before sliding into the booth seat. Smiling widely waiting to see in Neal would join her run from this now that she was so blunt .

Neal placed his papa's necklace in his jacket pocket, maybe for now it could help him stop feeling like his papa was still having the power over him. He didn't want to get rid of the necklace, since it reminded him of the one place he had ever truly belonged. If he hadn't gotten rid of it then, he was sure he wouldn't be getting rid of it now. Keeping his hands in his pockets, Neal followed Tamara as they reached the restaurant. Neal took a hold of the door and watched as Tamara went in, following closely behind her.
"I'm not one for opening up, never have been. I've never really had much of a life up until this point anyway. Well, all I've ever been is lonely. But, maybe you're right. I should start trying to let people in more. Good idea, you should grab it." Neal said, before watching Tamara hurrying off towards the booth. Neal kept his hands in his pockets, before deciding to follow Tamara towards the booth. Neal knew that there wasn't really any way to get out of this, and if he was going to start letting people in, then running away would have to stop. At least for a while. Neal soon reached the booth and then sat down opposite Tamara in the booth.

flopping into the booth seat shrugging her jacket off Tamara smiled at unsure Neal. she was happy that man had followed well this is the step in the right direction. have fun Neal life is way to short to allow someone that much power over you. thumbing over the plastic menu. when my grandmother passed on I was so bitter I wanted to hate to be alone because I thought this was right thing to do . everyone I ever cared about died on me left me alone to fend for myself. I was in dark place I had to make a choice either I was going to stay stagnant or I can flow into a direction of light . I can live and remember those I loss .
laying the menu down tucking some hair behind her pert ears. I think im getting the some peach pie al la mode what about you handsome? winking at Neal .

Neal walked slowly towards Tamara knowing there was no point in running now, at least not right away and finished following her into the booth. “Yeah, I guess it is. I want to have fun, and, I definitely don't want him having the power over me.” Neal said, smiling softly as he loosened the scarf from around his neck, as it got a bit tight. “That's how it worked with me, I've let a small amount of people in, and, they've all let me down or I've lost them in some other way. I just felt like it was easier to just have myself to rely on, since I'm the only person who has never let me down, and, never could. I guess I'm working on making that choice completely.”
Neal looked over the menu wondering what he should get. “I think I'll go with a club sandwich, just without mayo, I can't stand the stuff.” Neal said, smiling softly at her wink.
