“Oh you think so huh?” Emma said with one of her eyebrows raised. She draped both her arms around his neck and gave him a loving kiss. She loved him. For the first time after ages she was able to love someone and feel at home. She could be herself without getting weird looks and complaints. Slowly Emma broke their kiss and stepped away. “We have to make sure that people won’t notice we broke in here. You check the drawers, I’ll make sure that the bathroom looks untouched. Who knows what useful things we can find in here” she gave him a playful wink and disappeared inside the bathroom. “You know, next time we need to try to get inside a hotel room for free. I’m sure there are a lot of things we can use from those bathrooms. Like little soaps, maybe even slippers.” She yelled out from inside the bathroom. “I’m sure that it isn’t that hard to slip inside one. You know what really would be a challenge? To get inside one of the suites. That would be our best breaking in we ever did together. You think that some hairclips might help to get inside one of those?” she peeked into the room where Neal was standing. Neal Cassidy

“Of course I do” Neal said, smirking at her softly. It had been so long since he'd had someone to be able to be comfortable with, and his walls had come down a lot since meeting Emma. Feeling her kiss him, he wrapped his own arms around her and kissed her back, not wanting to be in any hurry to stop, but, knew he had to. Neal felt at home with Emma, something he hadn't felt in years. Not since the Darlings, centuries before. He was able to be himself, sassy, smart-mouthed and all that jazz, without someone judging him for it. As Emma pulled away from the kiss, Neal leant back and nodded “You're right. I'm on it. I'll take the drawers. Never rule anything out, I've been able to find many things that actually are useful even if they don't seem it.” Neal said, remembering how much he'd found coming in handy throughout his many foster home transports. Neal returned Emma's wink before jumping up off of the bed and heading to the drawers in this room. Neal saw some small items that looked like they could be used. Smirking softly, Neal nodded at Emma's words “You're right we definitely should. There's probably a lot more choice in those.” Neal then began to shout back in response to the rest of Emma's words. “Slipping into a suite may be easier then you think. If we sneak into a dry cleaners we could claim some old clothes, the dress-up type clothes and then pretend to be a rich couple wanting to spend the night. I've gotten pretty good at swiping plastic, so that it could look like it had been paid for, or would be.” Neal said, before looking up as Emma peeked back into the room. “They always do. Grab anything you can.” Neal smiled at Emma, before continuing to grab the small items from the drawers. Emma Swan

“Really? You would dress us up like rich people by using stolen clothes?” Emma couldn’t help but to laugh at that. All of that started to look as the oldest known trick from the book. The one where you just dressed up as someone else, went undercover and got to do what you wanted without anyone getting to know about it. Sometimes it looked as if Neal had quite the influence on Emma. The one that most of the parents would have called bad. But to Emma it was the influence she knew, the only way of living she got to know to survive, even before she met Neal. To her there weren’t any parents who told her that he was a bad influence. She didn’t had any parents who told her what was wrong or right, what would be the most honorable thing to do… no one was there to tell her except for Neal. Emma’s face went serious the moment this thought ran through her mind. Her eyes staring at Neal who kept collecting little things as hairclips. “Neal?...” she paused for a bit as the movements of Neal started to look as a blur. “… Do you sometimes think about your parents as well? What they would say about us stealing and breaking in to places?... what they would say?”Neal Cassidy

"What do you mean would do it? I've done it before. It worked well." Neal said. It was something he'd learnt well during his thieving life since being dropped out of the foster system. Slip in, find some clothes from the piles in the back. And then just do what you wanted, and live a rich or important person's life for a while. Neal would admit he was a bad influence at times, he did owe alot of that to the way he was forced to grow up. His parents hadn't wanted him, and had abandoned him. What else was he supposed to do in this world? He didn't mind, he did what he had to do. There wasn't anyone else around to tell him he was being a bad influence and he should be setting a better example for the woman he loved. No-one was there to teach him a way of life that he should've had, so he had been forced to be the way he is now. With only himself to teach it to. Neal was still collecting little bits and pieces left over in the room when Emma said his name, and sounded serious. Neal stopped and went to turn around "What's wrong? Are you ok?" Neal asked, before hearing the rest of her words. Mentioning his parents made him go to sit down on the bed. "Yeah, I do sometimes. Even when I don't want to. I'm sure my father would have a few things to say about it, but, it's not like he's here anyway. What do you think yours would say?" Neal asked, running his hands over his papa's necklace and looking up at Emma again. Emma Swan

A laugh escaped when Neal told her that he’d done that before, that he’d been dressed up as one of those typical rich guys to get all of the expensive pleasures that went along with it. She couldn’t help to roll her eyes at that thought. It was one of the most known thieving tricks, or at least they were written out in every possible book that had spying as the subject. Emma was surprised that Neal dared to admit to be thinking about his parents or at least his father some times. He rarely spoke about it. Emma just couldn’t think about it, even if she would want to. She’d never known them… maybe they were criminals themselves or just horrible people. They must be… only if you were like that you had it in you to leave your own baby at the side of the road, hoping that it would die before someone would find it. Only then you would make it impossible to get found by your grown up child. That was something Emma thought her parents were doing right now. They tried to do everything not to get found. Emma had given up to look for them years ago. They weren’t worth it. If they wanted to see her they would at least be doing the same effort as she did. “I’d like to think that they would disapprove of it. Like parents are supposed to do. But I’m not sure if that would be right. I mean… people who abandon their own child at the side of the road aren’t exactly the ones where you can expect to disapprove of anything like this.” Emma gave Neal a small smile. That one smile hid a lot of emotions and thoughts. Ones that she preferred not to talk about. Neal Cassidy

Neal smiled as Emma laughed at his words. There was one main reason he'd done it before. When he put on those clothes he felt important, like he was worth something after all. It was a well known thieving trick, at least he thought so. It had worked better when he was a kid, no-one ever questioned when a teenager said they got locked out of the room in a fancy hotel. Admitting out loud that he still thought of his father Neal sighed softly. His thoughts of his mother were rare, but, his father those thoughts and memories were in his head more often then he cared to admit. Neal didn't know what his papa would think of his lifestyle in this new world that they were supposed to be in together. He frankly didn't care all that much. If he was able to let go of him so easily, throw him away like he was nothing to him. For a while, Neal had hung onto the stupid hope that his papa would come and find him, tell him he'd made a mistake. But, he'd given up the hope for that years ago. Hearing Emma's words made him sigh softly. Neal knew how she was feeling, worthless and unloved if her parents can abandon her so easily. Just like him. "Hey, let's not focus on them. Not your parents and not mine. Whether they would disapprove or not is not important or relevant. One thing that is both important and relevant is that your parents missed out on getting to see an amazing girl grow up." Neal gave Emma a small smile, and placed his arm around her gently in an attempt to comfort her. Emma Swan

Emma gave him a smile when he told her his comforting words. He only said that because he cared for her and Emma knew that. But still there was a huge part of her which had wanted to get loved by her parents. The blonde took a hold of Neal’s when he placed his arms around her, nudging against him once while she spoke “Who needs parents when we have each other right?” Quickly Emma let go of his hand and pushed him away playfully. It’s time to get back to their plan on robbing a little shop nearby instead of being sad and dramatic. They had work to do and it had to go right or they wouldn’t have their candy bars and chips but metal bars in front of their faces instead. “I’ll get the fake belly, you get all the rest that you need. We need to make sure that this is going to go right cause I’m not planning on spending the rest of my days behind bars and a mile long conviction record somewhere in a fancy file.” With her actions she pushed away her own sentimental thoughts about her parents, trying to forget about them like they had forgotten about her the moment they left her at the side of the road.
