Belle smiled as she spread the blue and red blanket out over the grass next to the shelter house she has renting for the day. She had called, Ruby, Aurora, Mary Margaret and the rest of the girls and invited them to join her at her lake for a day of relaxing had just having fun. She planed out the day had a cooler full of steaks, potato salad, cole slaw, macaroni salad a tossed salad, some chicken and few other things for grilling. She also brought lemonade, ice tea and water. And for dessert a fruit salad, or chocolate mash mellows and gram crackers for smores. She thought they could all play volley ball or go for a swim if they wanted to or just lay around on the shays chairs that she had brought for every one and relax and talk if they wanted to. She had even brought her ipod touch full all kinds music and a docket for it.
So far the only one that she knew was going to be here was Ruby. She had called her last night and said she would be here and asked her if she needed her to bring any thing. Belle had told her know just her self. She was so happy what Ruby was going to be here. She was one of the few people that didn't look at her like she was a freak after had, had her locked up in the nut house. She had been nice to and stuck up for her when people were calling her names and shunning her for being locked up. Ruby had given her a chance and been her friend no matter what.
They had not had a lot of time to hang out though lately with Belle waking over the library and the mess it was in and with Ruby always working for her grandmother. Belle sometimes thought that Ruby worked way to much for her grandmother and needed to get way and relax and have some fun that was part of there reason why Belle had thought of doing this girls day out. She wanted to do something nice for Ruby to thank her, hell she wanted to thank all of the girls for all that have done for her. She wanted every one to just be able to relax and have a good day. She just didn't know who was going to be able to show up since it was a last minute idea what came to her just the other day.

Red practically skipped on her way down to where Belle said that their little get together would be. She had brought some desserts from the diner that Granny had helped pick out with her. Red made sure to bring along the red velvet cake, which was Belle's favorite. Every thing else was an assortment of goodies. Red rounded the corner, and saw Belle sitting by herself with everything set up so nicely. Red smiled.
"Hey, I brought the desserts!" She said before setting down the plastic bag down next to Belle, and then sat down across from her. Red looked around and realized they were the only ones here. "So where's everyone else?" Red asked as she frowned. She thought that maybe Snow and Aurora would be here too. "Or maybe I'm just early and they're fashionably late" Red joked and laughed. She hoped she didn't leave Belle waiting for too long.

Belleknew this was suppose to be a day to have fun but while she waited for Ruby and every one else to show up she could not help but think about her run in with Regina at the library the other day. It had left her uneasy, a little scared and a little pissed off. She knew she needed to tell someone about the run in but she had no clue who to talk to about it. She knew every one in Storybrooke hated Rumpelstiltskin and wanted to destroy him but he was her friend and she didn't want that. She thought with a sigh.
She was so caught up in her thoughts she didn't hear Ruby until she say she brought dessert. Belle jumped a little in surprise but she smiled and laughed as Ruby sat down the table. "Hey to you also and what did you bring?"She asked as she lifted the lid to look and squealed in delight as she saw red velvet cake. "Oh my favorite.' She said wondering what else she had brought with her.
She looked up at Ruby when she asked where every one was or if she was last. "I don't know if any one else is going to show up. I left them messages but I have not heard back from them so I might just be you and I here." She said with a smile. She hoped they would show up but if they didn't she was fine with it just being Ruby and her. She wondered if she should tell Ruby about her run in with Regina but then thought about again out, again not sure what to do about it.

Red smiled when Belle saw the cake, and knew that she would be happy about it. But then Red noticed something was bothering Belle, but she couldn't figure out what it would be.
"Really? I thought for sure that Snow would be coming, but I guess if everyone's busy," Red said as she shrugged her shoulders. "Well I guess this just means there will be more food for us!" Red joked. When she saw that Belle didn't look to be amused by her joke, Red frowned and knew that something was up.
"Hey, is everything all right?" Red asked, hoping Belle was okay.

Belle smiled and tired to laugh at Ruby's joke but it made her ribs hurt. She hissed in pain and shook her head at Ruby when Ruby asked her if everything was alright. "I don't know.'" She said honestly as she sat down and looked up at Ruby. "I want this day to be relaxing and fun. I don't what to ruin it.' She said being honest with Ruy. She ran a hand through her hair mad at her self for letting Ruby figure out something was wrong. Lets just enjoy today and then I will tell you what is going on." She said hoping that it would work for now.

Red frowned, not believing Belle one bit.
"Belle you can tell me," Red said as she gave her friend a small smile. "I'm here to listen." Red said as she looked up at Belle. "You helped me get through my rough time, and now it's my turn." Red said, her tone gentle and caring. She wanted to talk to Belle, and she didn't want whatever was buried deep inside her friend to hurt her. Red didn't want to see any of her friends hurt. "Sometimes talking makes it better." She said as she smiled warmly at Belle.

Belle sighed as she gave up the fight and looked at Ruby. "Let me know you something first then I will explain." She said as she made sure no one was around. Then she lifted up her shirt to that it just under her breasts so that Ruby would see the bruises she had around her ribs. "Regina did this to me the other day." She said softly as she put her shirt back down."She wanted to know where the dagger was that could kill Rumpelstiltskin and when I wouldn't tell her she flipped out."She said told Ruby as she sat back down and ran a hand through her hair.
"I am scared Ruby and I don't know what to do about it. I can't let her win and scare me off and yet I can't help but worry that she is going to come after me again.." She said as she looked over at Ruby letting her see her fear. "It pisses me off that I feel like this." She said honestly as she thought about it and how scared she was. "I mean I can face down dragons and other thing but I can't deal with Regina what the hell is up with that." She asked as she laughed bitterly.

Red gasped in shock as she saw the bruises that covered most of Belle's stomach, and rib cage. Red covered her mouth with her hand. How could Regina have done that?
"Oh my God Belle!" Red said, concerned for her friend. "I hope you got medical attention for that right away, is it better now?" So many questions swam through Red's mind. "The dagger...that's what Regina wanted?" Red shook her head. "I'm glad you didn't tell her." Red said as she gave Belle a small smile. A few seconds of silence passed by before Belle spoke again, and Red could hear how scared she was. Red pulled Belle into a gentle hug, being careful of her bruises. It was all Red could think of to do in comforting Belle. She knew how intimidating Regina could be.

Belle sighed and shook her head. "No I went to David and asked home for help." She being honest with Ruby. "I didn't know who else to go to and Gold is not in town right now so I could not go and tell him."She said being honest with her. She let Ruby hug and she hugged her friend back. "I am scared she is going to come back and that this time I won't be able to lie to her. I can scared to stay at my house because I scared she is going to show up there. I don't know what to do. I mean she has all her powers back she can get into my house no matter what. I just didn't know what else to do. So I went to him and asked him to help me. But yet I am scared she will go after him and his family because he is helping me."She said as tears came to her eyes yet again. She hated being scared. "Did I do the right thing by going to David?" She asked as she pulled back and looked up at Ruby. Worried that she had done the wrong thing.

As Red listened to her friend talk about how scared she was, Red felt her heart sink. She felt horrible for Belle, and wanted to help as much as she could. Red took Belle's hand, and smiled. She hated seeing her friends cry.
"You did the right thing, Belle. I would've done the same thing if I were you." Red said. "If you want, I can ask Granny if she can let you stay at the Inn tonight for free, would that work?" Red asked. She hoped that Belle would be okay with this plan. Red didn't want Belle to be alone. In her mind, no one should feel scared to be in their own home at night. Home should be a place where one feels safe and secure, where no harm could happen to them.
