Belle looked up at her friend. "David said I could stay with them for until I was ready to go home. We just need to find away to keep Regina away from me. I don't want to be afraid to stay in my house. I just bought it and I love it. I don't want to let her win." She said as she got up and walked over and pulled out bottle of water and took a drink of it. Before she turned around and looked at Ruby again. "Would you be willing to come and stay at my house with me for few days when I am ready to go back home?" She asked her friend hoping she would be alright with that and her grandmother. She didn't know if she should tell David thank you but she could not stay there and take Ruby up on her offer of not. She thought she should as him about it first. She thought again as she took another drink of her water..

"I can ask Granny, I'm sure she wouldn't say no," Red said as she smiled at Belle. Her hand lingered on a bottle of iced tea that was sitting on top of the cooler, and she took it out. "Hey, we'll keep Regina away from you. I promise." Red said as she opened up the iced tea. She would make sure to keep Regina as far away from Belle as possible. She didn't want her friend to be hurt anymore.
"Cheers, Belle," Red said as she held out her bottle. Red smiled at her friend. She would have to talk to Granny when she got back home about staying with Belle soon, or whenever Belle needed her.

Belle sighed and looked over at Ruby. "Thank you." She said as she ran a hand through her hair. She then tapped her bottle of water with Ruby's bottle of tea and for the first time in a while she smiled a real smile. "That sounds great now the question it what do you want to eat. I have steaks and chicken for the grill." She said smiling at her as she took another drink of water. Relaxing for the first time since the deal with Regina. "I won't let her win." She said wondering that they could do to stop her.

Red smiled at Belle, glad that she could make her friend feel better. She took a sip of her iced tea, and set the bottle down on the table.
"Hmm...I'm voting for steaks." Red said with a laugh. Come to think of it, she was hungry and she didn't really get a chance to eat that much today. Granny had her working double shifts all morning, and she was busing tables and hosting like crazy. Red couldn't even remember if she ate breakfast this morning or not! Her stomach rumbled, answering for her. "Well it's a good thing we're having lunch now, because I'm starving!" Red said.

Belle nodded her head in agreement. "How do you want your steak cooked." She said knowing hers would be rare but she wanted to make sure she cooked Ruby's just right. She looked over when she heard Ruby's stomach growl. "When is the last time you ate?" She asked her friend working about her. She knew Ruby worked her ass off at the dinner and she really wished there was something she could do to lighten the load so Ruby could relax a little. She really felt that Ruby's grandmother worked her way to hard. She hated seeing how wore out Ruby looked most of the time even though she tired to hide it. There were times when she just couldn't pull it off and Belle would tell she was wore out and at her limit.

Red sat back in the lawn chair that Belle had, and stretched her legs out in front of her as she took a sip of her iced tea. "I'll have it rare," Red told Belle with a smile. "Shouldn't you already know how I like my steak?" Red teased her.
"Last time I ate was this morning. It was just a couple of pancakes but I'm always hungry." Red said with a laugh. It was true though, she did eat a lot. Especially with working at the diner, there was food all around her. But when she was working a lot of shifts at once like today, sometimes she barely had time to eat at all. Red yawned as she laid back on the chair, taking in the warmth of the sunlight.

Belle laughed at Rudy's teasing as she seasoned the steaks and put them on the hot grill to cook. "Yes I know but I just thought I would check again and make sure." She said with a smile as she reach into the cooler and pulled out a bottle of squirt to drink and walked over and sat down on the chair next to Ruby. She sighed and looked over at Ruby when she said that she had not eaten an thing since this morning. "You know you need to eat more. I mean I know you are always hungry, but when you work way to much you forget to eat and that is not a good thing." She said not wanting to come off as bossy but she was worried about her friend also.
"If you need some extra help at the dinner call me. Things at the library are really slow and we are closed at nights and on weekends. So if you and Granny need any help just call me. All I ask in return is for your Grandmother to feed me. She does make the best food in town." She said with a laugh as she thought about how good Ruby's Grandmothers food was.

Red smiled when Belle told her that she remembered how she liked her steak cooked. "I was just testing you," She said as she gave Belle's shoulder a little nudge. When Belle told her that she should eat more, Red sighed. "I do eat! And yeah working at the diner maybe has cost me a couple of meals here and there, but I do eat." Red reassured Belle. She didn't want her to worry too much.
"Really? You would come and help at the diner?" Red asked Belle, curious. It was unlike Belle to work at the diner, since she loved the library. Red decided not to over think it. Belle was just a naturally helpful person. Red chuckled to herself when Belle told her that she wanted to be paid with food. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that you get all of the pancakes, syrup, iced tea, and hamburgers that you want!" Red teased, smiling at her friend.

Belle smiled over at her. "I know you were and that is fine it is always good to test friends every once in a while to see of the remember things about you." She said as she got up and went over and flipped the steaks.
Belle sat the tongs down that she used to flip the steaks and walked back over and sat back down. "Those should be done in about 10 minutes and there as a bunch of salads and veggies in the cooler if you want some and I also got some steak sauce in there also if you want to use it." She said as she took another drink of her soda.
"I know you eat Ruby but something time you get so busy that I know you forget. You have a lot going on, even if you don't want to talk about all of it and I get that. I just worry that you are doing to much." She said as she looked over at her friend. "I hope I am not nagging at you. I just worry about you." She tired to explain.
Belle smiled at her and laugh. "Yes I would help out. I mean the library is not that busy right now. We are only open a few hours a day during the week and for about three hours on Saturday. I would love to come in and help out." She told Ruby wanting to do something nice for Ruby and her Grandmother. "You and your grandmother have been there for me and didn't judge me after I came out of the mental ward you two helped me when no one else would or when they all thought I was going to grow two heads and start blowing fire at them. You and your grandmother didn't treat me like a freak and for that I am grateful and I want to help out when you guys need it." She said as she took another drink of her pop.
"That would be great and maybe your Grandmother will teach me how to make those famous cinnamon rolls of her." Belle said with a laugh at the thought of all the free food she might get.

"Oh ten minutes." Red said as she could feel her stomach rumble again. She got up from her chair, and went over to the food bag (as she called it) and got herself a plate of salad for while she waited for her steak to finish cooking.
"You're not nagging me, Belle!" Red told her with a smile. "And I'm glad you worry about me. It's only Granny and you that seem to." She said with a shrug. It was true though. Belle and Granny were the only ones who worried about her well being. But Red didn't mind. "I worry about you too. You should do these sorts of things more often, and take a break from the library once in a while." Red said teasing Belle. When Belle told her that she and her grandmother were basically the only ones that didn't judge her, Red frowned.
"People judged you when you were released?" Red shook her head. She couldn't imagine Belle being judged, really. "Oh I'm sure Granny would love to teach you!" She told Belle as she munched on a tomato. It would be fun for Belle to work at the diner. It would give her a change in atmosphere.
