| The news that his sister Elsa was getting married had made Neal both surprised, but, also very happy for his sister, wanting more then anything, nothing, but, to only see her happy.
But, it also made Neal realise that he knew nothing about the man she was marrying. From what Elsa had told him, his name was Arno, but, was once known as Scar.
The name Scar was only bringing him back to the villain from the Lion King cartoon, but, he was sure there was more to the man then that. Neal would definitely do the protective brother warning as well, but, he more just wanted to get to know him.
After closing up his store for the day, Neal decided to try and find Scar, or as he was known here Arnold, at the place where he knew he worked. That man was his son's principal, which meant that he would probably be at the school.
He had grabbed a couple of beers, and, a takeaway bag from the local burger place, hoping that this man liked that stuff before making his way to the school.
He didn't have a lot of male friends in his life, and, he didn't really know much about this whole 'male bonding, getting to know you thing' so, he was hoping to change that. By, both gaining a new friend, and, learning more about the same man that would soon be his brother.
Even, if he was something like his character in the movie, Neal still wanted to welcome Scar into the family, or at least try to. Because he was important to Elsa.
Soon, Neal reached the school, and, he made his way into the building before making his way to the principal's office. Gently knocking on the door, Neal waited to see if Arnold would answer.

John had decided to run a few errands during lunch as he pulled back into the school. His secretary had told him that someone had completely disregarded her and had knocked on his door. Shaking his head he'd quickly move back to his office to meet this said man. Looking to the man as he entered the office and looked to his door he'd just smile a little. "Sorry about that, had some errands to run.....beer and burgers huh? You got guts bringing that alcohol to school grounds" he'd tease a little looking to his secretary before looking back to the man and fixing his collar for him, offering his hand "John Pride, some know me as Arno Dorian or Scar though....I'm not picky" the man was indeed charming as he turned his key and invited the man in.
The office was fairly simple, save for a few signed baseballs from legends such as 'Babe Ruth' and 'Mickey Mantle' and it also held a couple paintings on the wall. One of which days before, he had commented that Elsa was even more beautiful than said painting. "I've seen you before......" John pointed out looking at the man trying to remember where he saw his face "Oh yes, you're Henry's father!" he'd laugh "And you brought me lunch? To what do I owe this pleasure?" he'd smile a little more. The gleam in his eyes showing a man in love, but at the same time. He was just happy he didn't have to think about lunch for once.
Neal was already on a good start with the man.

| Neal looked at Arno, as he re-entered his office, obviously after running some errands of some kind. “It's fine. I wasn't here long. Yeah, well, then you could just, not tell the principal.” Neal said, with a small smirk. Neal raised his eyebrows a little in surprise, as the man started fiddling with his collar. “Neal Cassidy.” Neal knew that they'd already met. This was his son's principal after all.
Entering the principal's office, he suddenly flashed back to his high school days. He'd spent more time there, then anywhere else in any of the school's he went to. If he only spent a small while at a school, most of it was spent in that office. Mainly for skipping classes, or just mouthing off to the teachers. This was only at the bad foster homes, the ones that he liked he never got in trouble at, but, there weren't many of those. “Well, yeah, I'd assume so.” Neal smiled softly, as he realised where he was known from. “Yeah, that's me. I still say that those other kids started that water balloon fight.” Neal nodded gently at his comment about lunch. “Yeah, I did. Well, I thought I'd get to know you a little. For Elsa of course.” Neal said. He told himself it was for Elsa, but, at the same time he liked the idea of having a new friend that was actually a male. He hoped he was doing ok right now.

John looked to the man as he mentioned that the water balloon fight was started by the other kids. Merely smirking, this man had a sense of fun as he set the beers down on his desk and helped himself to one. Unpacking the burgers when they were set down on the desk before him. Then came the mention of his beloved Elsa and his ears perked up. Looking down to his phone he'd see the text that she had sent and his eyes lit up. "You must be the overprotective big brother she warned me about, she told me to play nice" he'd tease. Looking to Neal he'd open up his box containing his burger and a thing of fries. Looking to him with a mischievous look in his eyes.
"So how's this work? You have a gun and tell me that if I hurt her that you'll shoot me?" he'd joke, but just by the look in his eye and how at ease he was he'd show how much he loved her. "Don't worry, she's well taken care of, matter of fact, you should be protecting me....she can be kinda....cold" he'd wink laughing a little bit at his joke. Trying to break the ice a little bit.
He was hitting it off rather nicely.

Neal Cassidy | Neal glanced at John, as he mentioned his defense against the water balloon fight. He returned John's smirk, by smiling softly at him. Neal watched him helping himself to one of the beers, and, decided to do the same thing. Seeing the burgers being opened made Neal realise just how hungry he actually was. Neal didn't know whether Elsa had told John about the relationship they had, but, he'd mentioned it now, and, there was one real way to find out. He still awaited for the man's response, and, took a small sip of the beer, as he watched John's gaze go somewhere else for a moment. “Yeah, I guess I must be. Well, I would hope so, because I'm always nice as well.” Neal sighed softly as he saw the burgers open, he raised his eyebrows at the mischievous look in his eyes, it was one he recognised well.
“Not exactly. I didn't come here to hurt you, or threaten you like that. Besides compared to my father, I'm not all that threatening.” Neal could see that John did have a love for Elsa, like he had for Lily, and, his son. “I'm not really worried, I know she's taken care of. And not just by you. I know she can be cold. But, she has a heart behind it all.” Neal said, smiling softly before chuckling softly.
Neal hoped he was doing alright with this whole 'bonding' thing.
