Grumpy had called and told Snow that Neal was rushing out town. This was why she was driving like a mad woman . racing down the street trying to get to the town line before her grandsons father does. The engine reved high now in the old brown and tan truck. Emerald colored eyes glanced down to the gages making sure that they didn't go into the red zone were driving would be dangerous. Glancing up seeing Neal and his car parked. Snow pulled the emergency break making the truck come in side ways. Breathing heavily hands gripping the wheel tightly . snow with shake hands turned off the truck got out slowly . that was definitely exciting, Neal Cassidy Hi you may not know me but I'm Emma's mother. Can we talk for minute she asked stepping about the front of the truck. She spoke slow and calm not really knowing if the gentleman was upset over anything

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN This whole town and the situation was confusing and overwhelming for Neal. His whole childhood he'd hated his father for abandoning him and leaving him behind, but, now he wasn't quite sure how to feel. Neal had become tempted to do what he'd always done in situations like this. Run away. Luckily he hadn't had anything to pack with him, so it made it easier to run. He knew that he and his son could make things work with their relationship in New York, Neal just wasn't sure he could do it here with his father so close to him again. Luckily he knew he still had Tamara, who would be with him whether in New York, or in this new town. Neal saw the town-line up ahead and he knew that all he had to do was run over that, and, he would be away from his papa again. Soon, he found himself stopping his car just before the town-line and getting out of it. Neal let out a couple of deep breaths as he sat down on the hood of the car. Neal gripped the necklace around his neck, as he heard those words his father said, and, saw that moment clear in his head back in the shop. 'I spent a lifetime looking for you, for a chance to say I love you. And I'm sorry.' 'I didn't think you would go back on our deal.' 'I just made the wrong choice.' 'I'm still angry.' 'I know.'His thoughts were interrupted as he heard another car coming by and stopping in front of him and someone stepping out of it. Neal looked up, and, noticed that it was Emma's mother, who he'd only met for a brief time. But, didn't know all that well. Neal found himself wiping one or two tears from his eyes, but, then looked back up at Snow. “Um, sure I guess.” Neal said smiling softly

returning his smile making her way around the from the truck heading toward Neal . thank you for agreeing to talk to me. foster care, abandonment are hard topics to talk to any one with . it seemed especially hard for Emma and Neal, bowing her head fiddling with the ring. Forgiveness is a difficult thing , parents can make excuse after excuse. What ever happen between you and your father should be worked out. You owe that to yourself to have that closure. Snow had heard bits and pieces of the story of what occurred between Rumple and Neal. In the long run it wasnt any of her business to know unless Neal or Rumpelstiltskin wanted to give the full history. I can tell your upset but running won't cure any thing . trust me I really know this smiling sadly remembering her time as bandit. I know it seems like a solution to runaway from from your father but he isn't the only you would be leaving behind ..Henry you would be leaving him behind as well. now that he knew about Henry there is no way that Neal could leave his son. THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN “Well, I didn't have much of a choice. You kind of blocked my path out of here.” Neal said. This was a tough subject. Foster care and abandonment weren't exactly happy topics. He felt himself twisting the crystal from his necklace in his hands. “I never thought it would even be an issue. He didn't want to be in my life, and, that was the end of it. Excuses are what my father is known for though. The only thing I need is to get as far away from him as I can.” Neal wasn't sure how many people knew exactly what happened between him and his papa. It wasn't like Neal went around broadcasting it to everyone here. They either knew or they didn't. He wasn't going to harp on it by telling everyone here. “Running is just what I've always done best. It's solved things in the past pretty well.” Neal said, feeling a sob catch in his throat. “Trust me, my life will be a lot better with my father and I continuing to be far apart. I can't do this.” Neal paused when he mentioned Henry. He wasn't going to be out of the kid's life. His kid's life, but, it wasn't easy for him to do it from here. “Henry and I will be fine. We'll work it out. I just, I can't stay here.”

Feels like falling
Neal told his story, and Snow could understand the man's reasons. Crossing her arms a small smile played on lips . it wasnt out malice or enjoying his pain but it was the fact Rumpelstiltskin orchestrated the whole curse to get his son back. If that's not wanting Neal back then I hate to see what is .
like you were? Your whole life you were mad at Rumple because he wasn't there your willing to do the same . so what happens when Henry grows up and finds you are you going to run then too? this was tough love it needed to happen. For Neal to see he was doing the same.
Arching her brows inching closer to the man at a slow pace. running doesn't solved anything it creates more problems. I know for years I ran away only to end up face to face with the person I was running from. Eventually we have to stay face up to our fears. she thought back to when she was on the run from Regina .

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN Neal had his reasons for wanting to leave this town. His father had broken his heart all those years ago. The only reason they were in the same place now was because of a curse, which he shouldn't have needed in the first place. They should've just been together all those years ago. “Yeah, like I was. Of course I was mad at him, he abandoned me. Of course I'm not going to run. If he wants me to be in his life then I'm all for that, but, I'm not father material. What if he realises that and doesn't want to be around me?” Neal said, sighing softly and looking down at the ground. Neal kept his hands in his pockets as he watched Snow moving closer towards him. “Well, it solved mine pretty well growing up. I spent my whole childhood in this world running away, in a way you're right. My father was one of the main people I was running from. I'm not the best at staying put, but, he's here, and, I just I don't know what to do.” Neal said, sighing softly and looking sadly at Snow.

Stopping when she was on the other side of the truck. Leaning against side crossing her legs at the ankles folding her hands in front of her as well. Her posture laxed the princess just playfully smirked. so you ran away from your father just to end up back where you started? taking a deep breath maybe this is destiny intervening your fate so you can fix what is broken in your life . look you can keep running and in another ten years you could end up back here. And that fear of Henry thinking poorly of you being true. Or you can stay and end the cycle of disappointment with your own father.
Henry would never think that of course . the boy only saw the good in people which was endearing quality that ran hand and hand with optimistic traits that is heavily based within the family. now what happen to make you run? Your safe no one will know if you don't want to .

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN Neal placed his hands in his pockets, as he looked down at the ground. He didn't really have the kind of posture that Snow did as a princess, he just had the laid-back kind of posture, with a bit of a slouch. “Not just my father, but, my past as a whole.” Neal sighed softly as he let Snow continue. “I don't believe destiny has anything to do with it, and, the only broken thing in my life is me. I don't want Henry seeing that. I have no intention to disappoint my son, but, I still feel disappointed in my own.”He couldn't believe that Neal would be good enough for Henry. Neal wasn't what people would consider a father type, and, if he wasn't good enough for his own parents as a kid, then why would he be good enough for his son. At Mary Margaret's question, Neal lowered his head and gently kicked the ground. “A few things. I don't know, fear of never being good enough, fear of facing things I didn't want to face, and, just my hope to run and find somewhere to belong. I was almost positive that I would never find it, so, I kept running.”

A soft sigh lisped from her mouth , Snow could understand the desire to run away but it wasn't going to accomplished anything. Emerald eyes soften to meet his dark brown ones. Neal had been so desperate to survive for most of his life he forgot how much meant to have some one to care . lets focus on Henry then . you don't what to have him disappointed in you then don't run. Your father and Mother left you alone do you really wish for the same fate as that for your son?
Moving closer placing a gentle hand on his shoulder her gaze never waiver from Neal's he has met you now , do you think Henry can just forget you? Do you think by you running away from this town that he won't believe it's because of him? I can't make you stay but your son needs you and trust me Henry can never be disappointed.
Patting his shoulder making her way to the steering wheel taking the keys I can how ever make your journey back to new York a difficult one she smiled half way tempted to toss them into the woods but she decided to save that as last resort.

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN Neal kept his head lowered, and, sighed softly as Mary Margaret did. His desire to run away was still as strong as ever, deep down it was probably to protect himself from feeling something and getting hurt again. Running away had been the way he always survived. Neal still wasn't used to having people want him around, let alone care about him. “Even if I do stay, I know he'll only end up disappointed in me eventually. Everyone else has been. Thanks for that reminder Snow. That neither of my parents wanted me, and, left me alone when I needed them the most. Of course I don't want that fate for Henry.”Feeling the touch on his shoulder, Neal's gaze went to it, suddenly flashing back to his childhood. He was him, but, between 14 and 17, and, Mary Margaret was his social worker. Trying to comfort him before telling him he was being sent away again. Coming back into the present, Neal remembered where he really was. “I don't want him to forget me. It isn't because of him, it's because of my father, and, because of me. I guess I need him too, I know I do. Give him time, I'll find someway to let him down, and, he'll reject me just like everyone else.”As Mary Margaret patted his shoulder, Neal looked up as she went to his car, and, took his keys. “How exactly would you do that? Once you cross the town-line you won't remember any of it.” Neal said, before smiling and shaking his head “Do you really think that I don't know a trick to drive without needing keys for the car?” Neal had been a thief for most of his life, the skills were there, and, Mary Margaret could keep his keys, but, he could still leave.
