The day should have been like any other day , it wasnt like any other day .since their return Regina was dreading this day in September. Today was the first day 12 years agos she brought home Henry . Tears ran down her face hiding in the stables away from everyone. Shaking her head the Evil Queen should have locked her self away today. Make a mixture of sleeping curse mixed with salt water to numb herself , but she didn't and here she was brought to a weeping mess because of a sweet dimpled little boy accidentally calling her momma. Henry Daniel Mills my sweet prince I miss you so much it hurts doubling over Regina nearly collapsed on to a hey stack. Taking out a small vial of a forgetting potion it would ease the pain make this more manageable she would forget her baby and be able to move forward in her life. Taking the lid off the bottle bringing it up to her lips only to pause when a shadow swept in across the barn floor. Turning her tear streaked face to the right to check who was here. Hoping it wasnt Robin or Snow at this moment not wanting to deal with their simpering hope and good speeches. Neal Cassidy

Neal Cassidy Neal had rarely slept since coming back here to the Forest, everytime he tried all he saw was the faces of the people he loved most in the world. The only two people that had never left him at some point, but, he'd been forced to leave. Emma he knew he didn't mind not being with, but, there was a small little boy that had found his way into his heart within the matter of the short amount of time they'd been together. His son Henry.
He wanted to let himself grieve no matter what Snow and Charming told him. He was sick of their stupid you need to move on crap. Neal was just wanting to grieve, without anyone telling him to cheer up. It wasn't like he was used to grieving someone. His whole childhood he had grieved about the fact that his father had abandoned him, and, the wish he'd had to be found.
He sat on the bed in his room at the Dark Palace, and, soon his eyes went to a photo of him and Henry. “Henry, I miss you so much buddy.” Neal said, holding the picture close to his heart before placing it in his pocket. Neal needed to take a walk around the Forest to clear his head for a bit.
Not long after he'd left the palace, Neal heard crying from the stables. Neal sighed softly, as he walked towards the door. Hearing those words Neal knew who this was, and, he slowly made his way in. A small smile grew on his face as Regina turned towards his direction “I wouldn't drink that if I were you.” Neal said, moving closer, but, keeping a distance between them.

I've become so Numb!Great another hero was there no place in the whole kingdom where she could find no solace? gripping tight on to the crystal bottle . no man nor woman could take this from her if there dared tried. don't you have some research to do ? crossing her legs Regina wanted to be alone here was Snow and Charming's little puppy. taking a deep rolling her head back making it bump against the back of the stall wall.
fine I will ask, so why wouldn't you drink it ? afraid that ill go back to being a big bad ? Regina wouldn't a few tricks and slip of simple herbs the only things that would be vanished would be henry along with the pain of not having him near her. thumbs caressed over the crystal as she spoke. this was her only way out first snow stopped her from ripping her heart when they first arrived now neal would try to stop this memory swipe...this is why she should have kicked everyone out as she got the Palace back.

Neal Cassidy Neal didn't come here to be a hero, or give some stupid 'you must have hope' speech. He'd gotten all of that from Snow and Charming. Lowering his head, Neal shook his head “Not right now.” Neal could tell the frustration in Regina's voice, it was the same one that he'd had since they got back here. He could tell she wanted to be left alone, but, he hadn't really expected anyone else to be out here.
“Well, of course not. You changed for a reason.” Neal said, letting out a soft sigh as he glanced at her. Neal was the same way, he'd become the man he was because of the pain that had happened in his life. “The reason I won't drink it, is because if you do. I'll lose the only person who's not telling me I shouldn't mourn the family I don't have anymore.” Neal made his way closer towards her, but, still keeping a safe enough distance away. He glanced down at her, waiting to see what she would say next, or whether she would kick him out of the stables or not.

I've become so Numb! If this wasnt the lowest moment of her life . scooting over on the hay stack so Neal would have room. Holding on to the crystal bottle carefully a look of annoyance clearly visible on her face.. Sighing licked her chapped lips it was habit of biting her lips raw when upset. She developed that bad trait as child in fear of being hurt by her mother.
so this is purely because you want the company of miseriable of Queen. Regina could only guess those that told Neal that was none other then Snow and Charming. Which made sense on paper. Give Emma and Henry a chance at happiness blah blah all the joys in the world should be blah blah . rolling her eyes. If hadn't been for Snow being pregnant the evil Queen would have probably turned the over hopeful into a bug.
Locking eyes with Neal patting the hay stack you have two choices One leave and we continue to dislike each other or two you sit and we wallow together.

Neal Cassidy tag;;notes;;words;; Neal was surprised that Regina had seemed to move over to allow him room next to her. He clung to the point of his chest where the picture of him and Henry was. Lowering his head looking at his bitten nails, a habit that had been one he'd had for countless years. Especially in the workhouses due to fear of being beaten for no reason.
“Well partly, but, it's not just that.” Neal had heard over and over by Snow and Charming that he should move on with his life. And that he was supposed to let Emma and Henry have their happiness together. Yada, yada, yada. If they hadn't been family because of Emma and Henry, he would've given both of them a piece of his mind, and, said some choice words he can't take back.
Glancing at the haystack, Neal listened to what Regina said. In some ways she was right, and, he knew that. But, he also knew that for Henry's sake he should attempt to try and get to know his other mother. “Well, I think for the sake of our son, we should attempt to get past our differences. Even if that starts with our wallowing and he may even be happy to know that it was because of him that it all started.” Neal said, before going to take a seat next to Regina on the haystack.

Our little boy Giving a woeful smile that sounded like Henry that even with him not here . he was a still trying to make her play nice. Wrapping her arms about herself not out of being cold but out of need for comfort. I guess your right so how do we start this ? asking kicking some hay about with her black boot.
She knew what Emma had told her about Neal but nothing else . do you want to hear stories about Henry from when he was smaller? it was painful nothing was being left behind nothing could be taken . all her memories of their life was now and forever more in a void of nothingness. Reaching up wiping a another stray tear away.. She hadn't cried this much since the first year of being married to Leopold . shuddering at that memory those were meant to be forgotten left behind .

Neal Cassidy Neal looked around and returned Regina's smile, he knew that if Henry was anything like he was at that age, he would want his parents to play nice. And be nice to others. Neal had wanted his papa to do that when they were growing up here, play nice with everyone, despite being the Dark One. He kept his arms around himself, as a way to get the comfort that he needed right now. “I'm not sure, but, I guess we could figure it out as we go.” Neal said, smiling before sitting down next to Regina.
Neal only really knew what everyone had told him about Regina, especially Henry. He wanted to make his own judgement for the sake of Henry. “Oh I would love that.” He hardly had many memories of his own son at his childhood, and, even after that. He'd only known him for a little over a month before having to say goodbye to him. And now he had nothing. Nothing but his memories, of Emma, Henry and even his father. Right up until the moment he sacrificed himself. Neal hadn't let himself cry this much since Neverland, when he spent most of his nights crying himself to sleep. But, that life was behind him now.

Our little boy
he loved all books it didn't matter if they were big or small. No story was ever a poor one. His favorite as boy was oh the places we shall go. I use to have to read that to him all time when he was sick. wiping the a few tears the had began to shed. and he would make his own stories up as well always about knight defeating a dragon or a witch. Which always made me a bit uneasy but the pure excitement Henry had when he told it was so unbridled I couldn't help but fall in love with him.
Laughing dryly balling her hands at her sides. Regina glanced over at Neal, when I first adopted him I was afraid of him I thought he could sense my darkness . all he ever did was cry , I almost returned him. But then like a miracle henry stopped and I he smiled his big toothless grin and that baby melted my heart from then on out Henry was mine reason for everything .

Neal Cassidy “Alot like me. Finding one book to cling to growing up. But, I never really had anyone to read it to me.” Neal said, sighing softly. “Well yeah making up stories like that when you know they're actually true can make you nervous and worried. I remember watching this stuff on TV sometimes, and, having my memories coming back from my old life here.”
Neal smiled softly at Regina as she turned to look at him. “Well, if he's anything like me, then he may have on some level. I'm glad you didn't return him though, and, he could have someone around who seemed to want him. I didn't have that much growing up, and, I wouldn't have wanted that for my son. I also wouldn't have been able to meet.”
