Neal CassidyThe time had flown since pulling young Baelfire from the crushing sea. Killian held on to the wheel steering the ship through the chopping waves. The mermaids had been clam today nothing out of the ordinary . which in Neverland was a small blessing. Spotting on the horizon through the lingering Mist of dawn since the sun never shone on these blast shores. Calling out for Smee to bring the boy it would be today for him to learn a important occupation aboard the Jolly Roger to sail it . the subtle rocking was gentle enough to where Bae couldn't really knock them off course. The cha of seagulls flew over head, making the Captain gaze up Curse this realm . for once he longed to the a sun instead of grey . blue sky's and sun light that made his mind drift back to Milah . closing his blue eyes if only she would be here now then they could be a proper family . Yet the boy wouldn't understand he wouldn't gather that Milah had loved her son to point of loosing her because of being under the thumb of Rumple. Grinding his teeth , hand clenching about the knob of the steering he would kill that bloody demon he would lay Milah soul to rest or be buried trying .

It hadn't been long since Bae had been brought to this ship that was captained by the man who called himself Hook. Bae admittedly had been hostile towards Hook and the rest of his crew at first when he arrived here. Due to the fact of what his papa had told him, and, what he knew was that his mother was killed by pirates. He just had some trust issues. But, he now saw how wrong he had been about this pirate, maybe not all of them were like the pirate that killed his mother. Bae was lying on the bed, keeping his hands underneath his head as he glanced up at the bunk above him. He wondered whether any other kids had ever been aboard this ship, or whether it had just been him. He was brought out of his thoughts as he heard Smee addressing him telling him that the captain wished to speak with him above deck. He slipped on his shoes as he smiled at Smee and slowly made his way up the stairs that lead from the captain's quarters to the main deck above ship. Bae walked over to the railings of the ship, and, leant against them as he turned towards Hook and smiled softly. "So Smee told me you had something important to show me or tell me or something?" Bae said, staying leant against the railings. "So, what is it?" Bae asked, kind of curious about what was about to happen. Killian "Hook" Jones |

The lads manners were lacking but Hook overlooked them. Knowing deep down Bae was a good boy and that the boy may just take sometime to warm up him. Nodding his head Aye that I do come here Baelfire
Pulling the boy closer with his hook Killian place the lad in front of the wheel. we all must learn a trade your will be steering the ship. patting the boy eagerly on the shoulder.
Not many was given such pleasure , Hook was careful who had their hands on his baby . only four people had ever touch the wheel. Liam ,Milah , himself and now Bae. Now what you want to do master fire is keep it straight and try not to crash us
Pointing out toward the island with his hook , Killian needed to head there . The captain had a meeting with the Demon.

Bae didn't mean to be rude to the pirate, well, ok he did a little, but, Bae needed proof he could trust him before he started behaving in a way that would make him feel closer. Hearing Hook tell him to come here, Bae smiled softly and was about to come, but, Hook was already pulling him over towards him. He let out a soft, but, silent chuckle as Bae was stopped in front of the ship's wheel. At Hook's words he looked up at him and smiled “So I'm going to learn how to sail this thing?”Bae didn't know, but, he was sure that this was an honour when it came to pirates. Since most seemed to have a strong connection with their ships. If he was anything like his father, there was certain things he was never allowed to touch. “I'll keep that in mind. Keep it straight and don't crash.”Glancing towards the island as Hook pointed there, Bae let out a soft shudder at the thought of going there, but, assumed that there must be a reason. “So, um what do I do first?” Bae asked, glancing back down at the wheel. Neal Cassidyaye that you are first take a hold of the handles on the wheel. The lads smile was so much Milah's the sheer sight was almost painful. Gripping gently on Bae's right shoulder. Spying the shudder from the child Hook grimaced once that feels comfortable see that compass over there. You'll need to take a gander to make sure we stay on course. We should be head due west countering by north west. There were so many questions to ask the lad. Not wanting to spooked the boy off. Killian often wondered what all had the crocodile told Bae about Milah's disappearance from the boy life. No doubt it would be in the scoundrel favor. Removing his hand from Bae's shoulder Hook wandered to be in front of the wheel hopping on to the wood railing so to sit . so master Baelfire I'm curious won't your parents be sadden by your loss of you? Surely at least your mother will be?Anchoring himself on railing so not to fall backward his hook sunk into the wood.

“Right, hands on the wheel handles.” Bae did just this and gently rested his hands on the wheel. He felt the wind blowing the fringe of his hair, as he continued to look out to the island's mainland. Bae's eyes widened as he felt Hook's grip on his shoulder, as he could tell it was a more comforting touch then he was used to. “So on the compass it should read 'W by NW'” Bae said, glancing at the compass before looking back up at Hook. “Right?”There was so much that he felt like had been missing from his life ever since being let go over that portal. For some strange reason, Bae felt like a part was being completed from just being on this ship. He didn't understand why though. Like a hole that had been on his heart for a long time, was being filled. Bae was surprised when Hook removed his hand from his shoulder, but, he ignored it and focused on trying to steer the ship. Watching Hook come to in front of the wheel, Bae heard his question, which caused him to lower his head, and, remove his hands from the wheel. “I don't think so. My parents don't care about me. Or at least my father doesn't. As for my mother, she's um... she's dead.”Bae lifted his hands off of the wheel before taking a gentle seat on the ground behind the wheel. Killian "Hook" Jones

The words echoes in his mind, my parents dont care about me. That was a lie for more nights then Hook could remember Milah had talked about her boy. Some night she would hum the tune she use to sing to the boy as baby. Other times she would cry till she passed out in his arms. Milah loved her son more then Baelfire will truly ever know and that was soul crushing to Killian.
Making quick steps around the wheel to Bae . kneeling down next to the lad, placing a gentle hand on Bae shoulder . I didn't mean to upset you lad, I just..I'm sure your mother loved you. I never knew my mother and my father he abandoned my brother Liam and I when I wasn't much younger then you. Hook didn't really talk about his life most if not many of the crew already knew his story so to rehash it was pointless.
Bae needed to understand that he wasn't alone though your father may have been a coward never doubt that mother loved you completely.

BAELFIRE Bae knew for a fact that his father didn't care about him, yes, he'd taken the Dark One power to keep him safe, but, he'd ended up caring more about that power then him. Then there was his mother, he didn't really know enough about her to have a real opinion, but, if his mother had cared about him then she wouldn't have left so often, and, then allow herself to be kidnapped and killed by pirates.
He continued to sit behind the wheel as he rested his head on his knees, hiding the emotion coming to his face. He had only really felt cared about with the Darlings, and, here admittedly. Bae raised his head up as he felt Hook's hand on his shoulder. "Well, I don't remember enough about her, she disappeared when I was a kid. Your father, he abandoned you? So did mine."

This was a moment of truth or Hook could further bury so not allow his true identity be known. Moving so instead of kneeling the pirate was sitting next to the boy. The gentle sway of the ship was enough for Killian to know by that they weren't in any real danger from the sea.
no I'm afraid I didn't know your mother but a mother's love is ever lasting. Though she may gone she is always with you. these had to be the right words Milah had to proud where ever she was . sighing scratching his ear, when I was but a boy and my brother much older then you. My mother passed away she was a maid in a Queen quarters . she had been traveling with the Royal family when they were attacked and my mother was slayed . at times I still feel her just as I feel those others I've lost along the way as well.
Frowning at the memory not really fond of rehatching his painful past. Curious upon how Rumple told the demise of Milah to Baelfire . how did your mother pass on? asking as he cleared his throat.

 Bae kept his grip around his knees as he kept them close to his body and his head lowered. His gaze went towards Hook as he sat down next to him, but, his grip stayed around his knees. Looking out to the sea Bae could tell that the seas didn't seem as dangerous right now.
“Well, I'm not surprised. I didn't really know her much either. In a way I'm sure you're right, but, I can't help, but, struggle to feel it.” Bae didn't really feel the love from his mother's love, in fact he didn't even remember her all that much. “So you lost your mother too? I'm sorry.”
Bae could tell that Hook didn't like re-hashing his past, but, to be fair it wasn't like he was asking him to. But, just like Hook speaking of his, that question meant that he had to now. “My mother was kidnapped and torn apart by pirates. Taking her away from me.” Bae lowered his head again, feeling one or two tears fall from his eyes. |
