Snow waited for David to leave the diner before sliding out the booth picking up her coffee cup. Heading toward the table with sullen looking Neal. Clearing her throat to get his attention. do you mind if I join you? not really waiting for his answer as she was already scooting into booth's cushioned seat. Smiling warmly did I ever tell you the story of how I met Charming? she asked before taking sip of the hot liquid. The warmth felt good as slipped down her throat the chill from the main d morning walk was still lingering along her bones. David wasn't always so enamored with me. When I first met the dashing prince I was stealing his jewels. smiling coyly fingers trancing over the rim of the white porcelain cup. he chase me down by horse back tackled me ready to strike but paused dead in his tracks when he found out I was a woman. Of in his misstep I took the chance to strike I picked up a rock and knocked his as hard as I could with the rock. chuckling at the remembrance of Davids shocked expression. now if your wondering why I'm telling you this well I do have a reason . the course of love is never smooth Neal it must be fought for if you want this then don't give up hope.Neal Cassidy |

Glancing out of the window at Granny's he wondered how much longer he should wait here for Emma to meet him. Neal knew that after what happened on Neverland it may have been harder for Emma to agree, but, he wasn't going to stop trying. But, he would back off a bit if she didn't show up now. Neal ran his coffee mug through his hands as he continued to look out of the window. Hearing a cough from beside him, Neal jumped slightly before turning to face whoever it was. Seeing it was Mary Margaret he smiled softly at her, he was about to answer her question, but, she had already answered it for him and slid in. Neal shook his head at her question "No, you didn't" Neal said, before listening to the story. He couldn't help, but, smile at the similarities between the meeting of Emma's parents, and the meeting of him and Emma. "You know I think I heard a similar story like that one before." Neal let out a soft chuckle, but, he still wasn't sure why she was telling him this. He was about to ask when she seemed to know the question anyway. "I'm not going to give up on Emma. And I'm never going to stop fighting for her. I never will. Hope is a hard thing for someone like me to have, but, if it's for Emma. I'll try having it again." Snow White/Mary Margaret |

Of course hope was hard for Neal and Emma. Life here in this realm had been a bitter backlash of angry no's and hurtful punishments. Taking it day by day that's the best thing Neal could do if he wanted this relationship to flourish. Brushing back some of the ebony bang that had fallen in front of her large emerald colored eyes.
good and you shouldn't Neal Emma is just ..right now everything is being thrown at her at once.. One second she was mourning your death ,henry was kidnapped. Then out of no where your alive . its a lot of emotions she is feeling right now Emma never got a chance to process all this.
Snow knew she was rambling but she couldn't help it. The princess wanted to make Neal understand why Emma may not have showed up to their date.

One thing that had been hard for Neal to have was hope. Since in this world, it had always ended with pain for him. He had been filled with hurtful punishments, especially from the workhouses. And a whole lot of 'no's' that made him feel hopeless. He was now working on doing things one day at a time, especially with Emma. This was his one chance at family, and, he wasn't going to try doing things too fast and risking blowing anything. Neal kept his hands wrapped around his coffee mug, and, then took a small sip of it warming him up inside. "I know, and I understand that. There's a whole lot running through my head at the moment. Finally finding it within myself to forgive my father. And now finally having nothing stopping us from being together. There's a whole lot of emotions going on within myself as well. Emotions with my father that I don't even understand yet."Neal knew that Mary Margaret was trying to help cheer him up by coming up with reasons why she hadn't shown up for his date, but, Neal knew part of the truth. It seemed that Emma hadn't been the only one thrown though a loop. Neal and his father Rumple seemed to be on good terms now. Snow didn't know what had cause the rift to begin with and it truly wasn't her place to inquire.
Clearing her throat I saw back on the boat I'm happy your family could be made whole once more. Take your time really allow those feeling to blossom Neal . I promise you won't regret it the small steps forward will fully repair whatever happen between you and your father.
Snow wondered if Charming had found Emma ? Hopefully he could talk some sense into the blonde about trying to open back up to Neal. At least for Henry sake.

Neal knew that he was also thrown through a loop while on that island. He and his father were working on their relationship and he'd begun to forgive him for everything. Especially the abandonment, while he may never completely get over it, he was trying to get past it. “I am too. I'm working on slow and small steps, one at a time. There is a lot to repair between the two of us, but, I just hope I won't end up regretting actually forgiving him. But, it's given me something I lost years ago, and, that's what's making me want to at least try.”Neal wondered where Emma had gotten to, but, it was making things obvious to him. Reaching placing a gentle hand over his tenderly squeezing it. She was happy to hear that the man was getting back something he lost long ago. Snow had gut feeling it was hope for a better relationship with his father. That was something the princess truly wanted for the man.
Releasing his hand sliding her own back across the table , Smiling kindly Well whatever is blossoming again give it time and plenty of trust . I know that what Rumple did hurt you very deeply and there is no way you can forget such things but know that he is trying and is wanting to start a new is huge thing. Most people go their whole lives with out ever receiving a second chance for love and family. Don't let doubt make you throw away yours.
Waving to the waitress so to get a another cup of coffee. I think I will join you in the delicious Looking cup of coffee while I wait for Charming

Neal looked down at Mary Margaret's hand as it gently squeezed his. No-one had done that for him in years, and, he enjoyed the comforting touch of it. The one thing he'd lost years ago was his family, especially his relationship with his father. And also hope that it was possible to get such a thing. Neal wanted that more then anything. As Mary Margaret released his hand, Neal placed his hands over each other as he looked at her. “I'm trying to give it time. I gave him my trust once, and, it hadn't worked. Yeah, that it did. I don't want to forget about it, well, ok I do, but, I may never be able to. I realise that it's a big thing for him, and, I want to let him prove it. Yeah, I know it' rare, and, I'm taking it. I'm not trying to let it, but, no matter how hard I really try the doubt will always be there, because I've seen how its gone before.”Neal smiled at the waitress as she was waved over by Mary Margaret. “Go ahead, it's really good coffee. Relieved that Neal didn't mind intrusion the waitress for moment while coffee was being brought over. Whenever she was overly stressed she could feel when a possible slip into netherworld could happen. It always took place when Snow was tired or things became to much to handle her body would deal with the effects by making the princess rest deeply. So to avoid that horrible room Snow drank large cups of coffee to stay awake as much as possible.
Eyes wandered down to the folded hands of Neal that were bound on top of one another. Frowning taking a deep breath scowling feeling the taunt skin on her brow wrinkle at the . Its good that your trying to move forward you and Rumple need it . holding on to the past can't be good, besides parents make mistakes they can make horrible choices even when they thought it was for the best .
The soft shuffle of the a cup of freshly poured coffee pushed gently toward Snow. Wrapping her hands around the base of the warm cup. Lifting the mug up to her mouth blowing off the steam .

Neal didn't mind the intrusion, it wasn't very often that he had the option for company. In fact it had been rare before coming to this town. He smiled softly at the waitress as she brought over Mary Margaret's coffee, before running his hands over the mug. Everytime he drifted off to sleep, he always worried that the nightmares would come back. The nightmares that had been haunting him ever since he landed in this world. They had been rare since coming to this town, but, they had still been there. Neal just hoped that keeping himself up or distracted as long as possible, there was even less chance of it happening. Keeping his hands folded over each other, he fiddled with them nervously. Neal wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, but, one thing he knew was that there were new feelings inside of him that he still hadn't quite known what to do with yet. “That's what everyone keeps telling me. Living in the past is a bad thing, and, I have to move forward. I'm really trying to do just that. All parents do that huh? I guess everyone does it. Not just parents.”
Neal glanced once more out of the window before picking up his own mug of coffee, and, taking another small sip of it, as he watched Mary Margaret do the same thing. Snow White/Mary Margaret |
