Freeing his papa from Pandora's box gave him a feeling inside that he never thought he'd have again, especially after everything that happened, the reminder of being on Neverland hadn't helped with that. Happiness and a feeling of warmth over his heart with the knowledge that his papa was safe. Neal looked out over the edge of the Jolly Roger, as he gripped onto the rope above his head, like he had done so many times as a kid on this very ship. He knew that his papa had sensed something was wrong below deck with Henry, so, he hoped everything was ok down there. But, he also knew that if anyone could fix it, his papa could. Feeling the breeze blowing against his face, Neal looked around the ship, and was glad to see everyone was safe on the ship, including Wendy and Tink, who he was able to bring with him this time. Neal smiled softly, before glancing back out to the sea, and, letting his thoughts wander. With both memories of when he was 14 and on that island, and, everything that happened recently. Including Pan's words to him, 'you're still nothing, but, a lost boy Baelfire. A lost little boy who was unwanted.'Neal knew that this was untrue now, since his papa had come back for him after all. Pan had tried and failed to destroy Henry. Smirking proudly shrinking the box down to size that easily fit into the pocket of his coat. Patting the pocket happily. Strutting back over to his son who happen to gazing out into the night sky. beautiful isn't it? Never thought I would say that upon this ship. being back on the boat was awkward. Turning slightly Rumple could see the very spot he killed Milah. That quirked the corners of his lips into a small smile. The woman he had cared for died the day she abandon her child. Bring his attention back on his boy. Bae a penny for your thoughts? I know that I have done you wrong so many times but know I love you more then life its self. I was willing to face death to save your boy and my grandson. To prove myself worthy of you. speaking out the words choking only on the last few words.

Hearing his papa's voice, Neal sighed softly, but, kept his gaze out to the sky in front of him. "Yeah, it is. I never thought I'd say that here either." Neal's awkwardness of being back on this ship was stronger inside that most people would think. Neal felt his gaze going back to Hook at the ship's wheel, the very spot where he'd first really bonded with Hook. His gaze went back away from Hook and back out to the night sky as his thoughts continued to wander. His papa's voice once again brought him out of them. "What? Yeah, sorry. Just alot to take in. I know that now, and, I love you too papa. I see that, I'm just sorry I didn't believe you before. What do you mean worthy of me?" Neal was preoccupied with what he had no idea. Turning to the out stretched sky resting his hands against the rough wooden railing. Lowering his gaze and his head wisps of gray hair fluttered about his face blocking his face from view. Bae I let you down so many times that I fear I have damaged you to point of .. sighing heavily flicking his tongue swiping it across his bottom lip. I have been so long pushing people away to keep my power to keep living. But in the end I wasn't really living was I? The life I had was incomplete with out you my boy. I know I have hurt you for that I will never be able to make up for all that you have gone through. I want to be worthy I want to be the man your proud to call your papa. pouring his heart out Rumle notice that Bae kept staring at Hook.
everything all right my boy? if there was one person he wished to see destroyed it was the pirate first the bae's mother now his baby's mother. When will this pirate be satisfied? I know about the kiss fear not Emma loves you that will be but a passing fling. His appeal is nothing but leather and eye liner. You two share a child a bond.

Neal's thoughts continued to be all over the place, he didn't want to be while talking to his papa, but, he couldn't help it while on this ship. There was so much in his head, but, he brought himself back into the present. Listening to his papa's words, Neal lowered his head slightly, while keeping his grip on the railing above his head. "Yeah, you let me down, but, I'm not completely damaged. At least not enough that I can't bounce back." Neal said, knowing that this was a slight lie, but, he had managed to bounce back every other time so far. "No it wasn't living. In the end you even pushed me away. Well, my life wasn't much more complete. I didn't belong anywhere anymore. I'm not quite sure you know how much you hurt me, when you chose that dagger over me. Well, you managed to once before. Before all of this magical dagger stuff and Dark One crap. All I really need you to do to be proud is to be the man who you were before all of that stuff happened. The man behind the mask of the Dark One." Neal said, as his gaze kept going mainly to Hook, since most of his memories on this boat involved him. "Yeah, everything's fine papa. Just alot of memories on this boat" Neal listened as his papa talked of him and Emma being together in the end. "I know she loves me too papa, but, I'm not going to force it on her. We always will have Henry papa, no matter what happens." Letting out a soft sigh, he glanced back out to the sea "It's just this whole place. Steeling himself when Bae began to talk about the abandonment. Yes Rumple probably deserve into hear his son plight over and over again yet each time he was having to say the same thing over and over again. How many times can one say sorry? Frowning knocking his knuckles against the railing.
I know we can't go back neither of us want that fr several reasons . I just hope that one day you mov pass this Bae. I would hate to hear that your life was ruined because you can't move forward pass my mistake. Bae ..Neal what ever you desire to be called now. I don't want to see you clinging to a past that has nothing for you. I want you to be happy Neal. Find your happiness
That was all he could say , Rumple stood looking at the boy who had turned into a man. Wanting to be able to move forward to find happiness.

Neal didn't mean to bring up the abandonment again, but, he was just being honest. He had worked on getting past it when they were still in Storybrooke, but, several things on that island just brought it back to the surface. That he was a lost little boy. He lowered his head as he knew that none of this should be happening anymore, and, he should be happy with his papa now, focusing on making up for lost time, instead of focusing on the past. “I definitely don't want to go back. I'm trying to move past it papa, I really am. In fact I was close to it, before coming to this island. Your mistake already ruined my life once, but, I'm focusing on moving forward with my life. It is Neal, but, I know you won't call me that. I'm trying to be happy papa, but, everytime I've done that in the past something's taken it from me. I'm starting to find my happiness though, I hope you can be a part of it now.”Neal glanced at his papa and smiled softly, as he listened to the crash of the waves against the bottom of the Jolly Roger. Bae was right he doubted he would ever be able to call his son by that name..Neal it wasnt what he had named Baelfire all those years ago. Though he understood why his son had changed it a part of Rumple would never allow that name roll off his tongue.
Gripping the railing of the boat eyes sank to the lapping waves. Taking a deep breath waiting for Bae to push him from not only mans life but now that of his grandsons as well. But what he had heard was somingthing that caused the dark one to do double take gazing at his son with astonishment. Bae was allowing Rumple to be part of his life..
Reaching out patting Neal with one hand on the shoulder and other on his sons face. Before pulling Bae in hugging him tightly . so far today was turning out to be better then he had dare hoped for . of course my boy I would want that I love you more then anything I would love to be part of your world once more

Neal knew that he was right about his papa not being one to call him Neal instead of Bae. Since that was the name he had given him, before coming back to this world from Neverland, and, changing his name. Neal wasn't sure whether his papa understood why he changed his name, but, he had done it for a fresh start. Baelfire was a boy who was abandoned via another world, Neal Cassidy was just an orphan from this world who stole to make a living. He kept his gaze out to the sea of Neverland, before focusing back on his father. Neal thought about his father's words, and, every word he said he meant. Neal wanted to start over with his papa and make sure they had the life the two of them should've had. He wanted to get past everything that happened, and, move on with his life. The new life with his son, and, hopefully his papa as well. Neal knew he wasn't expecting it, but, he awaited his papa's reaction. Neal smiled softly as his papa turned back to face him. He felt the pat on his shoulder and face before awaiting the rejection, but, his eyes widened in surprise as he was pulled into a hug. Neal smiled softly again as he wrapped his arms around his papa “I want that too papa. I love you as well papa, it just took me this long to admit it out loud. All this time Rumple had wanted only one thing . his family his family whole and never to part . not wanting to let go of Bae never again he wouldn't not now not ever. He had been a fool once and it cost him so much joy with Baelfire.
Nodding his head yes they way it should have been . Rumple should have been brave fought for his son more. Instead he was coward thinking that if he controlled everything with his newly acquired power then Bae would stay. But instead of his boy leaving him yet it was Rumple to leave his son in shambles. The never ending abandonment of his bloodline had to end it had to end with Bae.
come I think it's time you go see your son and spend some time with him Bae . when we get home we need to make arrangements but for now that can wait go go see your son squeezing Bae's hands smiling with tears in his eyes .
