By this point Seraphina had realized what had happened - Queen Regina succeeded in the dark curse she wanted to do. She remembered how she had asked for her help at some point when she was in the Enchanted Forest for a bit. After spending as much time as she had in Storybrooke and seeing how it didn't effect the ecosystems of the rest of the planet, she was really free to just go. It wasn't like she was held here by the curse like the others were. Or like some of the others were, at least. But somehow she couldn't bring herself to leave. Where was there to go anyway? She had her Empire, yes, and that was the most magnificent place in the universe if you were into nature things, but it was so very lonely. She couldn't go back to Typhan - he exiled her years ago. The Pitchiner Mansion...that was in shambles in Orion by now. The Dark Age pretty much destroyed everything. She didn't have a real home. But at least if she stayed here in Storybrooke she had a chance to not feel lonely - even if she never talked to anyone. Plus, she had her job as a weather girl and she thought it was fairly amusing. Even if it was ridiculous since she could easily change her mind later in the day.
Seraphina found herself sitting on a stool at the Rabbit's Hole, just swiveling around at first. She didn't really know how she ended up here, but she did. She never drank, really, it didn't appeal to her. But she was more sensitive than usual these past few weeks because it was nearing the day - in Earth time - that marked the anniversary of the death of her childhood, or at least that's what she called it. When the Dream Pirates destroyed everything that she held dear. Seraphina would give anything to just forget it. She'd live for all eternity and she'll never be able to forget that day. She didn't get nightmares or anything - no - that didn't happen for other reasons, but she'd have sweet dreams of the old days that left her in tears when she woke up. She idly stirred her drink, some fruity thing that she got to start herself off and sighed. After ordering a shot of whisky she downed it and her eyes shut. God that was disgusting and it kind of burned a little. She was most definitely not used to that.
"For something so popularly ordered here, that does not taste that great...whoa...head rush."

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN
It hadn't been long since Neal had been brought to Storybrooke and facing the demons of his past, as so many of them came back at once. His papa had found him, and he was forced to be face to face with him for the first time in years. He had reunited with Emma, and had been able to explain everything and the reason he left her in the first place. And he had even come face to face with Hook again, before setting foot on that old pirate ship that had once been almost like a home to him and having to sail all of them, including himself back here. While Neal knew that he had the chance to go as far away from this town as he wanted, since he wasn't cursed to stay here in this town, he didn't really want to, as there was one thing keeping him here, and it wasn't any of the parts of his past that had caught up with him, it was the part of his future that he wanted to keep. The kid that was in his apartment that day, his kid. Henry. Neal was staying in this town for the chance to get to know him properly, and giving him the father he always wanted for himself. Somehow, Neal had found himself in the Rabbit Hole, the local bar in this town. He hadn't been much of a drinker, but, certain things had changed and he needed at least one right now. Neal adjusted his jacket as he made his way to the bar counter leaning against it as he looked around. Neal remembered doing this kind of stuff back in New York, he hadn't been much of a drinker, but, bars were great places to hide out. Especially from police. There was one real person who had caused him to do that stuff, and that was his one real friend while in the system. Lily. Neal came back into the present, and took a seat next to a dark haired girl in one of the spinning chairs. "Ooh fun" Neal said, as he spun back and forth. "Weee!!" Neal then shook his head coming back into reality. "Right, you're not a kid anymore Neal." Neal placed his hands back on the counter, as he kept the stool still and in place. Neal ordered a drink, special of the day, as they called it here. It didn't matter, he felt like he needed anything right now. He shook the drink gently in his hands, as he kept his head lowered before placing the glass down on the counter. Neal took a soft sip, feeling it burning down his throat, but, not caring. Turning towards the young woman who was next to him, as she complained about a head-rush "Well, yeah that's just one side effect of drinking like that." Neal said, smiling softly before downing some more of his own drink.

Seraphina hardly cared when she saw Neal spin around on his chair like he was a child - that was probably a lot more fun than most things around this town. Not only that but she found humans to be extremely strange - like, she may set out an animal on its path and create a plant all she wanted but everything else was free will. But she liked to watch to see how it would turn out. The only good thing about the humans in Storybrooke, she found, was that they were not part of this world, they were of a more mystic place. They were an upgrade that understood magic more than the average being on Earth. Speaking of magic - she swore she was going to need that to get that taste out of her mouth. She politely asked if they had any hot water, as that was such a strange request, it took them a moment, but they figured they would give it to her because she kind of had that slightly threatening look to her. Once it came back she put a few rose petals in it and propped her head up with her elbows and hands. The rose seemed to come from nowhere, for she had just grown it a few seconds ago, but maybe tea would help the taste. Not the pain though.
"Why is it that only children are allowed to have fun? Not all of them do - but when does society say that you officially can't have fun because you're an adult."
Seraphina really wasn't speaking to anyone in particular, but she made the comment after she heard Neal say something about not spinning around in a chair. She didn't like to speak about anything concerning childhood, because she was sure that she never really had one past the age of six, but it was something she often wondered. All the magic went away once you were an adult, something she seemed to know by studying the guardians. It seemed like such a depressing thing. What if it happened to her? Oh please. She was eternally at the age she is now and as Mother Nature, she knew she couldn't ever give up what she has. Nobody could take that kind of magic away from her, as much as Typhan tried when he locked her up in that shooting star. She almost sipped her tea when Neal said that it was just part of the drink to experience what she did.
"I assume that means you've drank this a lot, then?"
She paused after a moment, realizing she made it sound like she was asking him if he was an alcoholic. Oh dear, she was not good at communication.
"Sorry, that came out wrong. I just meant...well, I've never really had any of this stuff and so I'm kinda clueless."
She laughed - first time in years that wasn't from causing a storm.
"It's just...sometimes the feeling it gives you is better than the taste. At least that's what people say."

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN
Neal didn't exactly care that he was spinning in his chair, but, he wanted to save himself the lecture and the stares from the workers and other customers in this bar. He had always been judged for so many different reasons, and, in each of the worlds he'd been in. As the son of the Dark One, as an independent lost boys and, as a foster kid, and, now he was back to the first one. The one thing about this town was that they were all from his old land. The land he'd spent years trying to escape and filled with all the crap he had tried to get away from. Neal glanced at the young woman who asked the bar staff for a cup of hot water, he smiled softly, ignoring the fact that it seemed like a strange request, he'd seen stranger in his life time. He couldn't help, but, look down as he ran his hands gently over each other along the bench. Neal adjusted the collar of his jacket, before spinning around a couple more times on the stool. Looking at the young girl again, Neal raised his eyebrows as she asked that question to him. “You're right I don't know. Well, society's been saying it for years, but, I never really listened to it before.”Neal could tell that she wasn't generally talking to him, but, the timing seemed to need the response, and, it was also a good way to start the conversation with anyone in this town. He didn't like bringing up childhood much, Neal hadn't had a proper childhood since he was 14 years old, and, now he had to act like an adult for real. Although he did question what would have happened if he gotten the chance to have a normal childhood after all. When you're an adult, you automatically have to grow up and act a certain way. It's like suddenly it's supposed to disappear once you hit a certain point in your life. He had seen it happen to so many people in his life, no matter how limited they were. Neal hadn't really had it happen to him, since he had it happen to him long before. At the point when he was still supposed to be a kid himself. So much had been taken from him in his life that he wasn't quite sure how to deal with it or what else could be taken from him. Neal admittedly didn't want to find out. Neal wasn't going to let his real chance at a type of childhood disappear again, even if he was considered 'too old' now. He wasn't going to let himself lose anything else either. A small smile grew on his face as he said it was part of the experience to get that feeling when they drunk it. “Not as much as you might think. But, quite a bit yeah.”Neal noticed that pause, but, smiled softly at her anyway. She was probably thinking over what exactly she asked him, and, how it had sounded. “It's ok, I've heard worse. Well, I'm sure you'll get used to it. But, I can probably teach you.”Neal moved his stool closer to hers, as he returned the young girls laugh. “Yeah, that's true. Alot of the time I used to drink it just for that feeling instead of anything else. But, I had my reasons.”
