Setting: Sometime during late season 3 to mid season 4 Note(s): Wasn't sure if we'd meet before the Queens of Darkness; so I just made a neutral thread. xD PS: Sorry if it's lame -_-
Several years ago, Casey had made a vow that she would never set foot in the library again. That was before she had stepped foot in Storybrooke. Since finding out about magic; and dealing with several unfortunate events; Casey realized that the library was her best friend. Plus; if she was going to survive college; she would have to learn to get used to be int he library. Sighing; she grabbed the handful of books she found for her research paper; and headed over to the table; where her bag and coffee was; placing the books on the table.
Grabbing the first book; Casey really wished that Henry was there to help her with her work. Well, partly for help; and mostly for company. Though she was happy with the young man; she had to sometimes wonder what life would be like if he were just a few years older. They'd be near the same age; and she'd have someone to go through adulthood with her. Then; she would take one look at his face; and she would smile and forget her worries. She loved Henry just the way he was; just as she was sure he loved her the same as she was. Turning the page; she looked up to grab her coffee; and noticed someone walking into the library. Smiling; she waved to get the man's attention.

I grew up alone. I grew up without a father. You can make up for that?

IT'S HOW YOU KNOW YOU'VE REALLY GOT A HOME. WHEN YOU LEAVE IT THERE'S THIS FEELING YOU CAN'T SHAKE. YOU JUST MISS IT
Neal had rarely set foot in libraries during most of his childhood, and even with his life in New York, but, ever since coming back from the dead Neal had found himself spending more time in this one in Storybrooke. Maybe, it was because his step-mother Belle was the main librarian and he wanted to get to know her properly. Or maybe, it was just because he was curious about what kind of stuff they had in this one. Neal had learnt by now that the walk from his small house to the library wasn't a long one, and, in fact he enjoyed it most of the time. After making a pip-stop at Granny's and ordering two coffees, Neal finished his walk and soon arrived at the library. Entering the library, he saw that it was pretty much empty for the most part. Except for one or two people. Looking around, he saw that Belle didn't seem to be at the front counter. Neal noticed someone waving towards him at a table not too far from where he was standing. He saw that it was Casey, Henry's girlfriend, and he made his way over towards her. "Hey Casey. I came looking to see if Belle were here, she is my step-mother and all." Neal said, smiling softly at her. "What brings you here?"

Casey smiled at Neal Cassidy; as he walked towards; her; clearly having seen her. While Casey tried to be friendly with everyone; Casey was a bit at a loss at what to think about Neal. All she knew about him was that he was Emma's first love; and that he had left her; years ago; before Henry was born. And then; he was dead. Now that he was alive; Casey figured that she would do Henry a favor and get to know all of Henry's parents; and that included Neal. Despite having some issues with Neal taking off on Emma; she found out that she liked the man. In a weird way; he reminded her of herself; though he was probably a bit nicer than she was when he was her age.
"Hey Casey." Casey shook her thoughts away; and pulled out a seat for Neal; moving her extra books as she offered him the seat; so he'd have room for his stuff. " I came looking to see if Belle were here, she is my step-mother and all." Casey nodded at the man. That is understandable. Casey looked over at the reception counter. But, I'm afraid she had to step away for a bit. I told her I'd make sure nothing bad went down here. Or rather; that I would behave myself. Casey smiled; as she grabbed her cup of coffee; sipping it as she eyed Neal.
"What brings you here?" Casey shrugged. Oh you know, figuring out ways on how I can accomplish world domination! Casey said seriously; as she rubbed her hands together; trying to attempt the evil laughter. Muahaha. She coughed slightly; and then blushed as she saw the other occupant looking worriedly at her. Er, sorry. She looked back at Neal. Doing homework. You know, for school. She nodded; showing him her paper; in case he actually thought she'd take over the world. She imagined how that conversation with Henry would go; if he were to find out.

Neal wasn't quite sure how he was supposed to act around Casey, since he had never really met the loved one of his family before. It was awkward enough meeting his papa's girlfriend, Belle, when he had, but, now he had to be the parent that was meeting his son's girlfriend. He never really got a chance to meet her before his death, so right now he was just going with the casual approach, because he actually liked the girl and she seemed to be alot like he was at her age. Looking down, he smiled as she pulled out the seat for him at her desk. Neal still held both cups of coffee in his hand, as he glanced over to the reception desk. "Never really had a mother figure in my life, but, I know that the kids are supposed to do this kind of stuff for them." Neal smiled softly before chuckling at Casey's words "Alright, well, I guess I'd better stay and help, and also make sure you do behave then." Neal said in response before moving closer to Casey. Neal took a sip of his coffee, not taking his gaze off of Casey. Neal couldn't help, but, chuckle at her comment of world domination "Well, don't take over too many countries at once." Neal said, going with it. Neal smiled softly at her attempt at evil laughter, knowing full well how evil laughter was supposed to sound. "That isn't how that was supposed to sound. It needs to come more from the throat" Neal said, before doing his own evil laughter. And noticing the stares from the other occupant in the library. Neal rolled his eyes before looking down in slight embarrassment, and then smiling softly before looking back up at Casey. "Nice. You are obviously alot more interested to school then I was at your age. Which is good." Neal said, knowing that when he was her age, he was just kicked back out on the streets. Neal smiled before going to take a seat opposite over her at the desk. "So what are you studying?"
