Neal CassidySitting in the 1969 rusted , beaten yellow bug , Lily blew a bubble with her gum. Neal had picked the get away car and that would be last time he would ever do so again. Rusty bucket would have to do, since she switched license plates with another car in the grocery store they slept last night at. So they were safe as long as they kept doing that every few days they should be fine. The task was easy, had been in the works for few weeks. Neal got a job at a local pawn shop and became friends with the owner. Now for the fun part , her brother from another mother would have to get the store owner drunk not just drunk but so wasted to pass out. Bringing a leg up to rest against her chest, tapping her foot against the leather of the seat listening to Jane's addiction sympathy for the devil. What they would get as reward for all the crap in their lives was locked in the safe in the shop..some Cartier watches. Enough to sell and go somewhere topical and far far away. Darting her eyes away from brick building over to Neal in the driver seat. why so glum? Tell me your not chickening out buck buck , playfully shoving the young adult .

Neal didn't know why he'd chosen the yellow bug that he had. Maybe it was because it was something that stood out to him, the colour and all that. Luckily, Lily had switched the licence plates between two cars while they were staying somewhere last night, so it was untraceable for now.
The two of them had teamed up, and had been working at this for a while. Neal had actually gotten a real job for the most part. Well, if you call a janitor at a local pawnshop a real job. And had became close with the store owner. The next part would've seemed easier. Get him drunk, so that he would be passed out. Staring out of the windscreen, Neal glanced over at Lily who was rocking out to the song on the radio, before turning back to the front and running his fingers around the stone of the necklace that hung around his neck.
What was waiting for them after that part was completed was in the safe inside the pawnshop. It would be their reward for being stuck in the lives they had been in up until this point. Some fancy and very expensive watches. The money made from that would be able to give both of them a fresh start somewhere far away from all of this. Neal continued running the necklace through his fingers, as he stared at the building in front of them. It was time for him to get to work. In more ways then one.
Lily's words are what brought him out of his thoughts, Neal turned to face her and chuckled "It's nothing. Just some thoughts you probably don't need to worry about. Hey, I'm no chicken. Just going over how this is going to work in my head." Neal said, before smiling at the playful shove, and then giving one of his own back.

Laughing at the little shove Neal was the only person she trusted in this world, so when he said it was something she wouldn't want to hear her smiled faded into scowl. Turning a bit more serious, shifting so she was facing him in the seat. Noticing he was toying with the necklace around his throat. hey I'm always up to hear what's on your mind Neal. I'm kind of hurt that you wouldn't tell me. We have been through to much for you shut down on me now
If he didn't want to do the watches okay then they would find something else no biggie but as long as they stayed together that's what matter to her . Lily didn't want to be alone there were times when she would think about Emma and how much she would have liked Neal. The three amigos like a modern day Robin hood stealing from the rich and giving ti the poor, namely themselves.
so come tell me what's going on reaching touching his hand fiddling with the necklace talk to me buddy what's going

Ever since leaving the foster system Lily had become the only person in the world he could trust these days, besides himself. Neal rarely trusted people anymore, since every other time he had, it hadn't ended all that well. And the trust had been broken. His hands were still fiddling with the necklace when Lily turned to face him with a serious look on her face. Hearing her words, he raised his head and turned to face Lily, his hand still twirling the necklace. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel hurt"
It wasn't that he didn't want to do this, he definitely wanted to. It was more that he didn't want to risk Lily getting in trouble when he had done most of the work. Neal did want to stay with Lily though, he was her friend and it was better then him being alone. When he was alone, all he thought of was Wendy and the Darlings. And how they would've loved Lily. They could've all been together. But, worse then that, he would've thought of his father again. And the life they could've had together in this world.
Neal felt Lily's grip on his hand, and he smiled as she asked to tell her what he was thinking. "I was just thinking about how this might end. If I get caught, that's one thing, but, I don't want to risk you getting caught up in this as well. I know we said we're in this together, but, you're really the only person I have in my life right now. I can't handle you getting in trouble, and me being the main reason you do." Neal said, sighing softly and looking at her. "I know it sounds stupid doesn't it?"

"" not stupid just really sweet, but Neal I know the risk. Sometimes those out reward not now."" patting his chest before bringing her hand back to so her arms could wrap around her muscular legs. "" we need the money if we want to get our new lives. besides Neal I can take care of myself you know that still thank you for caring its sweet. Now lets stop with the mushy stuff before we say we love one another you cry on me "" she teased sticking her tongue out at him. taking a deep breath glancing back at the store "" speak of the devil and devil shall come"" pointing to the owner . "" when do you want me to come back here for the job?"" asking they never discussed it . Lily just assumed after they closed for the day but wanted to make sure.

"You're right, the risks should out-weigh the bad. But, the rewards are inside that safe." Neal said, smiling softly as she patted his chest and removed her hands, moving them back to her legs. "Yeah, we do need the money for our best chance at new lives. I'll always care, I've never really had someone to care about before, so I guess I'm protective. I know you can. I guess I'll stop then. You got nothing to worry about, I don't do mushy stuff." Neal said, chuckling softly as he returned her playful tongue stick out before turning back to face the store. "Yeah I guess so. Perfect timing." Neal said, gesturing to the man and the store. At her question, he turned to face her and sighed softly. "Well, I'll text you once I've gotten him passed out. Then I'll change the sign to closed, and we'll go from there." Neal smiled softly, and glanced down at his papa's necklace before looking back up and shaking those thoughts out of his head, turning back to face Lily.

Arching a brow smirking he didn't do mushy stuff and she wasn't sarcastic . One day he would hopefully the girl would be worthy for brother from another mother. Cause if she wasn't they would just have a talk.
Tapping her knee excitedly everything would go off without hitch Lily just had a good gut feeling. Soon every bad thing they had went through would be a horrifyingly bad night mare that finally ended. Money could solve this taking a deep breath.
I be waiting now go get him handsome I'll be in the park waiting see ya soon. she spoke out twisting about in the seat . Opening the door the metal creaking the hinges needing oil badly. Slamming the door kneeling down so she could poke her head in the window. you got this Neal , don't over think just be your charming self and the shoo owner won't know what hit him. winking before jumping back from the car walking away slowly blending in with the crowd .

Neal knew that there were certain points in time when he'd go with the mushy stuff, but, it wasn't something he always put out there. He wanted to be worthy of his sister from another mister, but, Neal wasn't sure how to, since worthiness hadn't exactly been his strong suit for his whole childhood since landing back in this world, and even his first trip here. Neal wanted to be at some point, but, he just wasn't sure how long it would take.
This heist was the one thing that could make up for everything that had gone wrong in his life. And it would definitely allow him to be repaid for all the money his foster parents stole from him, that was supposed to be for him. Neal knew that all of it would finally be over, as soon as the job was completed.
"Alright, you go wait there and I'll go get them." Neal said, smiling softly at Lily. Watching Lily exit the car, Neal glanced back out the front waiting to see her walk past and to be out of the way, but, noticed that she knelt back down to be beside the window. "Got it. I was able to charm him into giving me the job in the first place wasn't I?" Neal asked, before looking back out to the front windscreen. "Ok here goes." Neal took a deep breath before exiting the car, glancing down at the necklace first, before lifting his head and shaking those thoughts out of his head, and locking up the car as he made his way into the store.

Two hours it had been two hours still nothing. Lily was starting to worry, looking at her watch pacing in front of the park bench. A few whistles from local boys made the young groan before turning around back to the fence area of the he park where people go and play basket ball. Flipping the bird to the guys sorry fellas not my type shooting them a shit eating grin. Backing away slowly before spinning about pulling her cell phone out.
First checking for missed texts or calls nothing. Sighing heavily running back to the pawn shop. Dialing Neal phone quickly come on pick up Neal let me know your fine

Standing there with his boss, Neal couldn't believe it was this hard to knock him out with this alcohol. Just what he needed, a boss who could hold his liquor. Neal tried not to show his impatience, but, he passed another one to his boss anyway. 'Come on, is it really this hard?' Neal sighed with relief, as he finally saw his boss pass out. "Finally." Neal said softly under his breath.
Hearing his phone, Neal quickly picked it up seeing Lily's name on the caller ID. "Hey, sorry. It turns out, my boss knew how to hold his liquor. I finally got it done. It's safe for you to come back here now." Neal said, as he hung up his phone and flipped the sign to closed to make sure no-one came inside. Before leaning against the counter and waiting for Lily to show up.
