MY FATHER. THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE.
Bae had been on this island for a short time, and so far he had been just as lonely as he had once been, maybe even more so, because he was completely alone on this island. He had managed to escape Pan and his lost boys long enough to find himself shelter of some sort on this island, and it was the closest thing he had to home he had these days. He hadn't really met many other people on this island, at least that weren't working for Pan or connected with him in some way. Bae didn't mind, he did better on his own anyway. There was no-one to let down, and no-one to let him down or hurt him again. Bae knew that night had once again fallen here on Neverland, or at least he thought so, it really is hard to tell at times on this place. But, he knew it was safe for him to attempt to get some food and supplies, while all of the lost boys were gathered in Pan's camp or only just heading back to it. Making sure the fire was still going, Bae warmed up his hands over it quickly, before grabbing his bow and arrow and placing it over his shoulder and slowly making his way out of the cave. Looking up ahead, Bae noticed that there seemed to be alot of fruit on top of the trees not too far from where he was, so he figured that was a good place to start to find himself some food. The further he walked, the more Bae seemed to think that this wasn't a part of the island he'd seen before, and definitely hadn't been in it before. Looking around, he sensed it was a little different then the part of the island he'd made his shelter in. He wondered whether there was anyone actually in this part of the island. Bae shook his head slightly, and focused on what he'd come here to do, and made his way closer to the trees. Looking around, Bae picked up a rock from the ground, and looked back up at the tree before taking aim with the rock and shooting at the fruit. He noticed that it moved slightly, but, managed to keep it's place on the leaves. "Dammit, ok I have to do this a different way." Bae said, folding his arms in front of him before stepping closer to the tree, and rolling up his sleeves before taking a grip on the tree branch and starting to climb. Unaware that someone else was watching him, and would be there to surprise him when he climbed back down from this tree.

MY FATHER. THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE
Bae finished his trek up the tall tree, and soon reached the bottom of the tree trunk. He smiled softly as he looked at the collection in his hand, but, jumped slightly as he heard a voice. Looking around, he saw where the voice was coming from. A light haired fairy not too far from where he was standing. "Yeah, that it does." Bae said, knowing that he should at least say something in response to her. Bae could tell that she didn't seem much older then he was, but, one thing he could see was that she had the same look of loss in her eyes as he did in his. Of course, it was in a different way then it was with the rest of the lost boys. They all had that look of loss, but, the rest of them had been corrupted by the darkness of the island. It was why he chose now to gather as much food as possible, before the lost boys or Pan found him. Bae was definitely a lost boy, wishing someone would help find him or make him feel like he was slightly found in some way. But, he would never be one of Pan's lost boys. He was unworthy in his own mind, and he felt it inside. Like no-one wanted to help make him feel anything different. Slightly dropping the fruit, as he noticed the fairy was changing her position. Bae glanced into her eyes, and smiled softly. "Dangerous? What do you consider dangerous?" Bae asked, knowing that alot of people on this island found him dangerous because he didn't worship Pan. "I'm not one of Pan's lackeys if that's what you mean." Bae said, before raising his eyebrows softly. "What about you? Are you dangerous?" Bae wasn't sure who to trust on this island, and his trust issues weren't exactly the strongest, not even close.

MY FATHER. THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE
Bae kept his arms in front of him as he kept a hold of the food he had just collected from the tree, as he looked at the fairy standing in front of him. He wasn't sure whether she was one of Pan's workers on the island, he doubted it, but, with this kid anything was possible. The loss in his eyes was obvious, since losing the last real glimmer of hope of getting a family or someone to care about him, it had grown a lot. Even more then he already felt from the minute he went through that portal with his papa abandoning him. Another thing that was obvious was the worry on his face, the longer he stayed on this island, and, in front of the fairy. Since all he knew about this place was that nearly everyone on it was either Pan's workers or against him in a different way. He doubted that this fairy was one of them, but, Bae couldn't rule anything out. At least until it was confirmed. Bae rolled the fruit back and forth in his hands, as he stood there with the fairy after answering her question and awaiting her answer to his. That laugh from her made him raise his eyebrows, before realising why she was laughing. “Yeah, I guess you're right. You're just as dangerous as I am, a lost boy who isn't a savage and refuses to work for Pan.” Bae said, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he looked at her. Bae wondered whether this independence from Pan would lead to him never really having someone who would look after him for real again. “What? You mean far enough away from the camp that I can be free and hidden. Why don't we start by seeing yours? May be easier right now. I'm sure that stocking up will still lead to some problems especially if Pan spots me doing it. But, I'd love a good night's sleep though. I haven't had one of those in countless years.” Bae said, returning the fairy's smile.

MY FATHER. THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE
Bae recognised that look, and, he probably raised suspicions with that comment, but, he just wanted a chance to get away from the lost boys. He didn't want to risk going back there alone. Being unarmed was hard and a bad idea on this island. Bae remembered one thing that he had. The necklace that his papa gave him, he said the crystal would protect him from any kind of magic, but, it wasn't the case on this island. Looking down, he frowned sadly and kicked the air in front of him. Bae knew that Tink probably had her doubts about whether she could trust him or not. He knew that feeling quite well. That's why he was desperate to be away from them. He didn't have anyone on this island, all he really had was the freedom Pan seemed to give him around this island. Bae looked up as she broke the silence between the two of them, "Don't worry, I have no intentions to betray you. I know how it feels to be betrayed by someone who you let yourself trust, so I won't tell anyone." Bae was sure she may not believe this, but, it was true. Bae knew how tempting threats were when you felt concerned for safety, or frustrated and confused. But, how much effect they'd be when he said he was harmless would've meant nothing. Bae followed Tink as she began to begin the walk, he wasn't sure he could trust her not to take her to Pan, but, for right now, he didn't have much reason not to. At Tink's question, Bae sighed as he lowered his head. "I'm here, because I sacrificed myself to that shadow of Pan's to keep a family I love from being seperated and allowing them to live."

MY FATHER. THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE
Baelfire kept his ear out for any noises following them, while paying attention to the young fairy next to him. Bae had become quite adept at keeping ears out for many things at once. There were many ways that Pan could get to people on the island, using his lost boys was definitely his top choice. It was why he had spent so much time running, since he wasn't one of his lost boys, and, this didn't sit right with Pan. Mentioning the Darlings made him sigh sadly, but, he hoped this could be something to make the fairy trust him a bit more. Bae stopped as the fairy did, looking up at her. With that reaction, he wasn't sure what that meant, but, he just nodded his head instead. He wasn't telling her that for sympathy or praise, he was just answering her question. Bae would never regret what he did that night for the Darlings, a kind hearted gesture that his papa would never have done. "Not really. Its not the scariest thing I've ever been around before." Bae said, as he brushed his hair away from his face, and continued to look up at the fairy. "Um, ok" Bae said, as he noticed she was running, before breaking into his own run in order to keep up with her. Soon, he saw her camp, and, he just stood there looking around. It didn't look like much, but, it was hidden from Pan. More just a place to sleep, so to speak. Bae adjusted the food in his hands, before placing it into the sack he had with him. This way it would be hidden from Pan and the Lost Boys. After tightening the sack, Bae watched as the fairy came back with some food in her hand, "Um, thanks" Bae said, taking some of the berries that she offered. Bae smiled at her second offer "I'd like that. One day away from Pan's camp." Bae said, as he sat down next to her. "I'm Bae by the way."

MY FATHER THE REASON I DON'T SPEAK OF HIM IS BECAUSE HE'S THE DARK ONE
Bae looked around as he examined this young fairies camp, there was something welcoming about it, more welcoming then most of the other places on this island. Looking at this camp, there was something that felt like 'home' right here in this small little camp. Bae didn't realise how tired he was, and, also how tired he looked, but, he had struggled to get a good night's sleep since he arrived on this island. The nightmare of him constantly re-seeing the moment when his papa abandoned him, had always made him wake up in a sweat, and, struggle to be unable to get back to sleep. “Nice to meet you too.” Bae said, taking a hold of the hand she held out for him to shake. This was an unusual place for two people to meet, especially people who may end up being friends. But, this island was the one place where people needed just those things. Especially him. Bae had felt lonely even before coming to this island, but, there was something about the island that made his loneliness inside grow. Bae spent many of those evenings that the nightmares woke him up, dreaming of him being rescued by his papa, but, then remembering how he ended up on this island, and, he realised where his energy and focus should be going. “Of course I don't, but, what choice do I have?” Bae asked, looking up at his potential new friend. “Honestly I'm not sure. I've thought about it, but, I haven't gotten anywhere. It's alright, I don't have a lot of hope left in me anyway.” A look of surprise grew on his face as he felt the gentle touch on his arm. “You're right, we need to protect each other. It's ok, there's no need to say sorry. It's not like it's your fault. I'd like that.” Bae said, returning the fragile smile that Tink gave him.
