Neal wasn't sure what it was, but, something had seemed off about his father recently. At least since the Snow Queen got here and had begun her plan to cast this curse called Shattered Sight. The others may have avoided or missed it, but, it was just something he could tell. He'd seen it many times before, growing up with the Dark One made it easier for him to sense these things.
He hoped he was wrong, but, he had to be sure. Neal sat up in his room at Granny's and made his way to the window before looking out of it. Looking down, he saw the town was pretty much quiet for the most part, with some dealing with the aftermath of that spell. Neal stretched and was just glad that everyone he loved was now safe once again, and also that he hadn't done anything bad to them while under the spell.
Neal smiled as he saw Emma and Henry, but, suddenly his eyes went somewhere else and his expression changed. He saw his papa walking the streets with Hook. That was suspicious on it's own since they hated each other, and he knew that he was probably right in his thoughts.
He was sure he had to hurry if he was going to be able to find a way to stop him, there was only one who could help him with this. His new step-mum Belle, who he had supposedly given the dagger to, but, if he knew his father right. She didn't have it.
After getting himself dressed, he made his way downstairs and hurried to his father's store. Neal quickly pushed the door open and after catching his breath from running, he made his way over to where he saw Belle. "Belle, Belle, I think we have a problem." Neal said, leaning against the counter and looking around.

Belle sighed as she stared at the object in front of her. She thought the glove was gone that Rumple had given it up to save her but here it was right in front of her. She had sent Henry away when they found it. Not knowing how to deal with it. She was still not sure how to deal with it. Was every thing they ever had been a lie. Or was this just some kind of fluke. She thought as she ran a hand though her hair. She looked up in surprise as Neal came into the shop and wondered what was going on. "What has happened now?" She asked him almost afraid to find out because she had a funny feeling this has to do with her husband and Neal's father not bothering to hide the glove from Neal. Neal Cassidy

Neal continued to try and catch his breath before looking at Belle again. “It's, it's my father.” Neal said, a serious look growing on his face. “I think he's... I saw him going somewhere with Captain Hook and, it just seems a bit suspicious. Since they hate each other. I think he's up to something. And letting the power of that dagger go to his head again” Neal said, before resting his elbows on the counter.
He was refusing to let those thoughts into his head, Neal wanted to believe that he had actually changed, believe that, unlike last time, he wasn't choosing the power over everything else. Him especially. But, Neal knew more about his father then most of the other people here, and he could tell when something was up.
Looking down at his hands, Neal noticed Belle holding something in her hands. “What's this?” Neal asked. Neal hoped that, it wasn't some other magical item that belonged to his father or rather became his after a deal of the Dark One. Belle French

Belle looked up at Neal not wanting to believe him but yet deep down inside she knew what he was telling her was turn. She looked down when he asked her about the glove. "It is suppose to take you to the thing you love most. Your father it from Camelot he said he got it from Lancelot." She said as she looked up at him with right eyes and a very pale face as she tired to keep from crying. "But what doesn't make since was that I know your father gave this away. He gave it up to save my life when Cruella Deville, Ursula, and Maleficent kidnapped me and threatened to kill me." She said as she picked up the glove and looked at it again.
"He gave it up to save me but yet today Henry and I found it here hidden on top of a book case in the back." She said as she sat it down and looked at him again feeling numb and cold as what Rumple had done and was doing started to sink in. "It was all a lie wasn't it? He never really loved me did he?" She said as she stared off into space at the reality of what had happened hit her full force. "He just used me to try and make people think he was good." She said as she looked at Neal again. "We have to stop him. If he is up to something and is trying to hurt The Pirate we have to stop him." She said the words killing her a little inside as she said them. No matter what Rumple has done she loves him but she couldn't let him hurt the people that she carried about also. She wouldn't be able to live with her self if she let that happen and didn't try and stop it. Neal Cassidy

Neal looked at Belle, not wanting to believe his words himself, but, he knew that it was possible that it was true. He always did his best to avoid Hook and yet, they were walking somewhere together. Looking down at the glove, he was curious as to what it was. As Belle spoke of what it was, he wasn't surprised that his father had something like that, seeing the look on Belle's face, he moved himself closer to her, in an attempt to comfort her. Hearing the names Cruella and Ursula, he couldn't help, but, be intrigued. So they were from his land too, man, he couldn't escape that place anywhere. Seeing the glove, he looked down and reached out to try and touch it gently.
Neal glanced around the store and then turned back to Belle, as she seemed to focus on him. “I've been asking myself that same thing for years Belle. But, I'm positive that he loves you, loves both of us.” Neal said, as he went to hug Belle gently, more trying to convince himself of the same thing that he was telling Belle. “He wasn't using you. I know my father and he could find a way to convince people of anything. I used to try and make people see the same thing when I was growing up.” Neal remembered how he had tried his best to convince people that his father was still the man he used to be underneath all of it. Looking at Belle, he nodded “You're right. I don't know what he's planning to do, but, when my father's involved it's always going to end with someone getting hurt.” Neal didn't like knowing that his father was, once again, back to his old ways. He loved him, yes, but, this was involving other people, ones that he cared about. His relationship with Hook may be complicated, but, he couldn't handle knowing that he could've saved him from his father's murderous clutches, but, didn't even try.Belle French

Belle a hand through her hair and let out a long deep sigh as her she tired not to cry. She could feel her heart breaking at the thought of Rumple not really loving her or just using her to get more power. She didn't know what do believe at this moment. "I know in his own way he loves me but he loves power more. I mean every one told me that. Even you tired to tell me that." She said as she felt her eyes filling with tears. "I don't want to believe he is up to any thing but we both know better. And he is going to hurt someone and someone else and we can't let him do that." She said as she felt the tears slid down her cheek. "I love him but I can't let him hurt anyone else." She said as she wrapped her arms around herself. Neal Cassidy

Standing there with Belle, Neal felt a familiar feel of heart-break inside himself, as he realised what was happening. His papa was actually letting the power be his choice again, or rather this is what his thoughts were telling him. He just hoped they were wrong. “I feel the same way Belle. He didn't love me enough to give up the power all those years ago, in his own way, he loved me. He just didn't love me enough to choose me or trust me. You were probably just like me, wanting to believe that he had changed, and was a new man. The way he once was.” Neal blinked back the images of how it used to be, and then that image of his papa abandoning him over that portal came into it, and he just felt his eyes filling with his own tears. “You're right, we both know better, I don't want to believe it either. I really don't. But, you're right, we can't let him hurt anyone else. He's hurt so many already, and, unless we stop him, the power will go to his head again.” Neal felt the tears of pain and betrayal, that he once knew for years falling down his cheek just as they were with Belle's. “I love him too, but, we have to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone else.” Neal watched as Belle wrapped her arms around herself, before sighing and making his way over to her. “Hey. We're not going to let him hurt anyone else. We'll get through this together.” Neal said, wrapping his arms around Belle, in an attempt to comfort her.Belle French

Belle ran a hand thought her hair as she listened to Neal talk. She knew what he was saying was true and she should have known better but she thought Rumple was different that he really loved her and that he would not use is magic for bad any more. She thought he had changed because of her but she was starting to see that he could never change and she should have known better. She knew what she was getting into. After all she had been a part of one of his deals. She thought as she let Neal pull her into his arm and hug her. She hugged him back as she cried softly. Then pulled back and looked up at her friend and by all rights her step son. "We have to stop him and it has to be soon." She said to him as she reach up and wiped the tears from her face. As he said these words to Belle, he hoped with all his heart that he was wrong, but, he also knew that he wasn't. Neal had known his father, and watched his father do terrible things for so long, that he knew when he was saying these words they were all absolutely true. And this made his heart break even more. His papa had finally chosen him over the dagger back in the Enchanted Forest, but, he had to have known it wouldn't last. His papa was nothing without his dagger, or at least that's how his papa saw it. Neal just couldn't believe that he'd let himself fall for his papa's act again. After all, the only deal his papa had ever actually broken had been the one he'd made with him, which would've involved him giving up the dagger. Holding Belle close to him, he let her just cry on his shoulders, doing the same thing himself, although, not as strong or as obvious. When Belle pulled away he looked down at her, his friend, and at the same time his step-mother, despite them being nearly the same age. “You're right, we have to stop him and we have to hurry.” Neal said, looking around, not knowing how much time they actually had left.
