set during the end of Manhattan ep Neal CassidyHenry leaned against the cool metal of the fire escape . Everything was moving at warp speed, one moment everyone was yelling and the next he had a dad! A real dad nit one he had to dream about or make up stories about the mysterious figure. The only down fall was Emma lied..hero's don't lie but here Neal was proof of the her mistruth. Frowning the boy lowered his head on his forearms. What was suppose to be a happy day to Henry was mared by a lie she was to be better then Regina. Emma wasn't and it hurt , he wanted to be treated with respect not just some kid. He had discovered the curse when everyone else didn't see it he did! Sighing staring off into the sun set watching yellows change into pinks and pinks into oranges. Henry's world was turnt up side down. How could he stand to be near Emma now? This brought so many other fears to roll in what if Neal didn't like him? What if Neal didn't want to get to know him? All these what if's clouded his mind and heart. Glancing back over his shoulder the wool pea coat bunched up from the recent growth spurt . All that he wanted was in the apartment yelling at one another. So much for happily ever after huh?

Neal's head was still spinning. Not only were Emma and his father back in his life, but, it turns out he has a son. A son he never knew anything about. His son. Neal understood why Emma never said anything, but, the question was, had August known when he made him leave Emma? They had been in touch since that moment, if he had known and hadn't mentioned a word of it to him then that just made things worse.
It wasn't the time to focus on that though, he had done what he had to and talked to his father, but, now was the time to get to know the person he really wanted to talk to. His son. Neal was excited when Emma said that Henry wanted to meet him, but, at the same time he was kind of nervous. Would he like what he met when he went out there? Neal knew there was one way to find out, but, he leant against his window sill for a minute to catch his breath and collect his thoughts.
Neal stood upright and then climbed out of the window onto his balcony, standing there glancing at his son for a moment. Neal placed his hands in the pockets of his jacket and walked over to stand next to him by the railing of his balcony. A balcony he'd been on many times before, but, was now different. Leaning against the railing of it, he glanced over to him, before looking out to New York. @henry

The fire escape rattled as the adult stepped out on it. Glancing out the corner of his eye seeing that it was Neal and not Emma which the boy was forever grateful for that. Taking a deep breath scooting over to give his father room on the railing. Henry turned his head slightly toward the left to look at Neal. Wanting to see something of himself in the man. They had similar eyes and mischievous smile. so your my dad huh? to think all the events they missed out on all ball games , camping trips, hunting all the cool stuff they missed. I guess this was the last thing we both expected? Henry could hear Emma and Rumple fighting . He was mad because of not being told about Neal as well he guessed. Shrugging his shoulders is it alright if I call you dad or do you just want me to call you Neal? I'll understand it if just wanted be called Neal thoughNeal Cassidy

Neal stayed and looked at him for a minute, trying to get used to the fact that his son was there, his son. A family of his own. Neal watched as Henry moved aside to allow him to stand next to him on the balcony. He was glad that he made room for him, yes it was his balcony, but, still.
A smile grew on Neal's face as Henry turned to look at him. Neal took the time to look over his son, noticing that he had his eyes and their smiles were similar, especially when they were plotting something from the looks of it. "Yeah, I am" Neal said. Neal hated that he had missed being able to show Henry all he knew about the father-son bonding experiences. Neal could at least show him parts of New York now.
"Yeah, I guess it is. A surprise for both of us." Neal said, looking at her. Neal could hear muffled yelling from his father inside his apartment. What was there to yell about? He'd kept the deal that they made. He heard his name in the yells somewhere, but, he wasn't really paying that much attention right now."Either's fine. Whichever you prefer. It may take a little while to get used to the dad thing, so, let's go with whichever you feel comfortable at the time."

That was under statement they both would have to get use to this. The corners of his lips curled upwards into a smile. Now he would have someone to treat him how to drive a car, sneak out with out getting caught. This was fantastic and with his Dad that part of his family would no longer be empty. all I know about you was what Emma told which wasn't true. bitting of his tongue so not to sound to angry , unless you were a fireman? If not that's cool I still want know more. turning sideways getting full view of all that was happening now in the apartment . Frowning when Emma looked out at them. Rolling his brown eyes hey Dad can you show me around the town to ? I hear there is mega store of Cinnabon upon tasting his first one back in Maine that was on his mind heavily . Licking his lips stomach growling stocking up on that would be something to do.

This was going to take a lot of getting used to, being a father to a son who neither of them seemed to know about. Neal smiled softly as he turned towards Henry, he finally had someone in his life to care about and, hopefully have someone to care about him. A part of himself would finally start to feel complete and whole for the first time in years.“Well, I'm sure she had her reasons, but, what exactly did she tell you?”
Looking at Henry, he shook his head “Sorry, I'm not a fireman Henry. I will tell you what I am though.” Neal said, keeping his hands on the railing. Neal glanced inside his window and noticed his papa standing there looking at him, spying on him and his son. Neal turned away as fast as he could and focused on Henry instead. “Of course I can Henry. And that's true Henry, New York has some great cinnabons. I'm sure you'll love them.” Neal said, remembering the first time he tried one not long after he moved to this town. “There's so much more then just that though. You'll be able to see a lot of it. I promise you”

Scuffing it didn't matter the reason to Henry. Emma had lied to him it was suppose to be them against evils not lie to one another like she had done. Thinking that when he told her what Regina had and was still doing to him. That she would understand , she was the savior defender of good . Now the lines were blurred good was doing bad things how would henry ever look at his mom ever the same again? she told me that you were fireman, who died saving a big group of orphans. She said you died a hero.Alright so he wasn't a fireman and he wasn't dead either . Which cool just as long as he got to spend time with Neal. alright Dad what are you? it really didn't matter . It was his father standing breathing next him. If Neal said he was king if England or nurse it was all okay because now instead of dreaming of father . Henry D. Mills has one, tilting his head up smiling dreamily at Neal. Yes! Henry wanted to see everything all the sights of New York . you promise? he would not leave till he got to see everything with his dad. where are favorite places? Can we see those first?Neal Cassidy

Neal looked down at Henry as he reacted in that way. He could tell that was the reaction to lies. It was the same reaction he'd had with both his father and Hook when he had discovered that both of them had lied to him. He expected it with the pirate, but, he had always thought his papa had told him the truth about everything.
Of course, he had lost trust in his dad long before Hook told him one of the biggest lies his papa had ever told him, but, it still wasn't a good feeling knowing that he had. Lied to him about what really happened with his mother. “Well, I'm sorry to disappoint” Neal said, chuckling softly.
Neal was hoping he wouldn't actually disappoint his son, and that he would want to get to know the man he really was. “Well, that's a good question that one. I'm Neal, I'm Baelfire. I'm just not sure who that second one is anymore, I guess I lost who I was a long time ago. If that makes sense.” Neal hoped that he wasn't completely confusing his son, but, that was the truth. He wasn't sure who he was. Maybe Henry could help him figure it out now. Neal smiled down at Henry as he looked up at him.
“Of course I promise.” Neal said, looking at Henry. Neal wouldn't let Henry leave without showing him parts of it, most of it.“Well, my favourite places are probably the Empire State Building, because you can see everything from up there. And the Museum of Natural History.” Neal said, chuckling softly. “Yes we can definitely see those first. I will be your personal tour guide.”

you won't disappoint me, just as long as you don't lie then we are golden it was the one thing to make Henry hate being around some one. Once trust was lost it was difficult to get it back and very rarely does one get it back. Now this doesn't mean he didn't still love those who had lied or betrayed his trust no very much the opposite . He loved his mothers fiercely but he couldn't trust them.
Jaw dropped that was the coolest name he had ever heard of ever!! Baelfire is that really your name? Like wow how come you picked Neal it's good name to but Baelfire come on that like awesome knight name. pushing off the railing almost jumping up from the news that his dad was going to show him about the city . can we go now ? Just us ? Pleeeeeaassse whining out his plea.

“I promise I won't lie to you. I've had my own fair share of lies from parents or grown-ups. I'll be honest with you I swear.” Neal said. Neal hated that he had been lied to by his father so many times and the whole damn time with Hook. The trust between he and his father broke centuries ago, from the moment he broke their deal. And it wasn't as easy as his papa made it seem. He can't just come here and apologise and expect everything to be forgotten. Did he love his father? Deep down he did, but, the anger and pain he felt was stronger at the moment.
Neal let out a soft chuckle at Henry's face when he said his real name. The name he hadn't refered to himself as in years. “It was once. I picked Neal, I guess, because the name Baelfire brought too much pain and memories. Also because I wanted to fit into this world better." Seeing Henry pull off of the railing, he stepped back slightly as he saw him practically jumping up and down excitedly. “Calm down first. Yeah, we can go. I'm not sure whether your mother would approve of 'kidnapping' you within the first hour of me being a dad. But, I promise we will go.”
