BEFORE THE CURSE WAS CAST
Red was on her way to the village market, so she could get a few groceries that she and her Grandmother would need for the upcoming winter. Red pulled her hood around her tighter, fighting off the wind chill that was beginning to get stronger. Red had made her way to the main road, but stopped in her tracks as she heard horses coming up from the other side of the road. Red listened carefully and if she wasn't mistaken, it was the Queen's horses. Red stood where she was, and waited for the carriage to roll by.

The Queen rode in her carriage feeling it rock back and forth , she had been on edge as of late trying to get all the ingredients together for the curse. She leaned into the window looking out sighing a little till she spotted a little red riding hood out on the road . She knocked on the ceiling to notified the carriage drive to stop.
The carriage halted and Regina stepped out."Hello there , Red and how are you today?" She decided to play nice and see if where this could go. "Where are you off to ?"

Red whirled around to see the Queen standing behind her. She was a little suprised by how nice she was being to her, but Red decided not to question it.
"I'm fine, thank you," She said remembering her manners for once. "I'm headed off to the village to get things for the winter." Red said nonchalantly. Red wondered what the Queen was doing on her way to the village. From the sounds of the horses hooves, her carriage seemed to be rushing, like she needed to get somewhere fast.

Regina supercilious smiled at Red,"Oh what are you getting from the village?" She didn't really care what the woman needed but what her gift could do for the Queen, and fact that Red was close to Snow was just the icing on the cake. The hooded brunette eyed her wearily with good reason. Regina had proved herself a worthy foe.
"Perhaps you would like a ride, for you see my dear I'm going in the same direction." She tilted her head and pointed toward the now parked carriage. "Just a act of kindness, it will save you from the elements."

"Just food that we don't have on our farm, sheepskin, the necessities." Red said with a shrug. Why was she telling this to Regina again? Red sighed. When Regina offered her a ride to the village, Red thought for a while about her other options. As Red was thinking, snow flakes started to fall from the sky, and a shiver went up her spine. "Well since it just started snowing, I think I'll take up on your offer, your Majesty," Red said. By foot it took her at least fifteen minutes to walk to the village. It would take no time at all if she rode in Regina's carriage, and she would be avoiding the weather that was starting up.

Regina smiled as the simple weather spell took effect. She amble over to the carriage and open the door."After you my dear." After they were both out of the cold in moving carriage, the Queen would have to be careful on how to approach a certain subject matter. What better way to get some one on your side then family. "So how are you and your Granny doing Red? Do you have enough to support yourselves?"
Regina hoped that young woman wouldn't see this as bait but as a way to make small talk. She reached over to get a blanket to spread out cover for both of them to use. "Are you in need of anything maybe I could help you." She ask and smiled sweetly.

Red climbed into the carriage, and sat down next to Regina. Red sighed as she fixed her hood so it fit more comfortably in the small space.
"We're doing fine, and we can handle ourselves," Red said, as she gave Regina a small smile. They were perfectly fine and if they were to need help from anyone, it wouldn't be Regina if Red was being honest with herself. When Regina put the blanket around them, at first she didn't really know how to react. "Oh, um thank you for that," Red said. "No, not at the moment I believe," Red said with a shrug.

"Ah a self reliant type of family, that is something you should be proud of. Not many people can do that now a days." Regina looked out across the land out her tiny carriage window, in fact most of the villagers had trouble feeding their families. The Queen turned her head in the direction of Red again. "Just how do you and Granny support yourselves?" To be honest she didn't really care she just wanted the brunette guard down.
She crossed her legs under the blanket and folded her hands." Your welcome dear, I promise I'm not as bad as everyone says I am. (She smiled) I will send extra help for you two during this time to help prepare.(she held a hand up to stop Red from saying no.) Think of it as a gift."

"We have a farm," Red told Regina. And I go out during the night to kill small animals like squirrels and rabits when I'm a wolf, Red thought to herself, not wanting to tell Regina that part. She didn't know that Red was part wolf yet, and she wanted to keep it that way. Red was afraid that if Regina knew, then she would use Red in ways Red didn't want to be used. Red just shrugged.
"Oh you really d-" Red was cut off by Regina after she insisted that she help them in the winter. "Well if you really insist on helping us out," Red said as she gave Regina a small smile. Red wondered why Regina was being so kind to her, but she decided not to question the Queen's motives. Not yet at least.

"A farm how lovely, it must be very for you and grandmother during your change." Regina stated stone face ."I know of your curse Red, I also of your past crimes on your last village(she leaned a smug smile on her face) I can erase that if you like all you would have to do is one tiny favor."
Regina leaned against the seat her eyes still locked on to her passenger riding with her. "I could probably even ease the pain your in. Would like me to find a way to stop your transformation?" The Queen could be able to that of course after she got what she wanted and then some. She eye Red over there many tasks this young wolf could do for her kingdom, and she could always use a new pet .
