"I'm going on an adventure." Roland woke up early that morning too excited really to sleep knowing that today was the day that he was going to be spending some time with his father. Actually he'd spent the majority of this week with his father because he was too upset not being with him to let him do anything else. He just really hated to be away from his father for long periods of times often crying and not really eating much. What could he say really? It just wasn't the same without his father around being that he was the only one that he really knew well and trusted absolutely. How could you not? He was his Dad and that was all that mattered to Roland who some would say suffered from separation anxiety. Not that he would know what that was considering he was only 5 as he slowly rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He was just really excited because not only was he spending the whole day with his Dad, but he was also going to get a new best friend. Or at least that was what his father said a couple days ago after how many times he'd spoken about puppies and drew pictures of them. Not very well mind you, but good enough for a 5-year-old. He knew his Dad didn't really like it when he woke him up early so he decided to see if one of the other guys would play with him. They weren't exactly his dad, but they were still fun to talk to and play with the odd time. Just so long as he was with his dad then he was happy to play with just about everyone. At least that was the way he liked it unless of course, he caught sight of something exciting and then it didn't exactly matter. Unless of course, he wound up getting in trouble with his father and that wasn't much fun at all especially when he talked really sternly. One thing he learned quickly was that he didn't like it when his Dad was mad at him and he got punished. He much preferred to keep on his Dad's good side and have fun playing like they usually did. Making his way out of the tent that he shared with his Dad, he caught sight of Patrick sitting by the campfire. Grinning happily, Roland tottled over to the man as he waved him over. "Hey there Roland, what you doing up so early?" asked the older man as he let the little boy sit beside him. "Can't sleep. Too excited. Daddy said we're going to get a puppy today," replied Roland who just sat there bouncing from one foot to the other. "Oh that right. Well did you want to sit with me?" offered the man, but Roland just shook his head because he was just not in the mood for settling down. "I want to play hide and seek. Please, I don't want to sit. I'm too happy. I get Daddy all to myself," explained the little boy as the mery man ruffled his mop of brown hair until Roland batted his hand away. "Alright, alright. We'll play until your Dad wakes up, but we have to be quiet," he said which Roland nodded after explaining the rules and waiting for Patrick to start counting. Once he started, Roland ran off to go look for a place to hide that wasn't too far from the camp. He knew where his limits were in terms of how far he could go in any way as indicated by a small yellow ribbon. Making his way through the forest he finally found himself a small hidey hole between some rocks. So he went in there giggling a bit at finding such a good place to hide where Patrick wouldn't be able to find him. It was just perfectly fit for him even if he was a little cramped in the small space almost like it was to be a cave of some sort. After a few minutes, he thought he heard the older man moving around the forest looking for him so he grew quiet as he listened for any sudden movement. Course, being excited about getting a puppy made it a little hard to keep his giggles quiet only to startle when Patrick's face appeared out of nowhere. "Found you little man," replied the man as he grabbed at Roland who giggled and pulled himself out. "It was a good place wasn't it?" beamed Roland proudly as he ruffled his hair again making Roland swat at him once more. "The best, but now I think your Dad will probably be up so let's check, yes?" offered Patrick making Roland smile brightly and nod as he took Roland's hand and lead him back to camp. He loved playing games like this especially since he knew all the best places to hide that grown-ups wouldn't notice. It was a long walk back, but they eventually got back even with the finding of a frog that he tried to chase until he was called back. He smiled gently as he yawned a moment coming into view of the camp once more as they walked back. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0

Rolling over in the tent arm swung out laying over Rolands spot. Robin was pleased that his boy had allowed him to sleep in.Yawning stretching his arms far over his head, rolling up to sit up pushing the covers off. Quickly getting dressed and putting up the sleeping bags and what not left in the tent.
Exiting the mid morning air was showing the signs of fall. Small smirk spread over Robins features. It was his favorite time of year. The merry men pointed their leader off to the spot where Roland .
Seeing the young man walking back with Patrick . Clamping a hand on the hand on shoulder of Patrick . Grateful his men were always so helpful with Roland. Part of the father didn't know what he would do without their help. Picking his son up hold the boy in his arms. well shall we be off ? We do have the utter most important mission today. Regina had mention to Robin that maybe a pet would make Roland come out of his shell more .

"I'm going on an adventure." Roland hadn't noticed his father as he was too busy talking to Patrick about the type of pet he was interested in getting. He wasn't really sure what he was looking for, but he was definitely excited. Of course, most of his ideas were slightly ridiculous, but he was 5 and very creative in his nature. True, the nice lady that was often around his Daddy now had shown her pictures of different puppies which had already begun to peek his interest. Even if he wasn't really paying that much attention because honestly he had no clue what he wanted. Really he just wanted to see all the puppies and then decide which one he liked best knowing that this was going to be the best birthday present ever. He continued to talk to Patrick who was being polite enough to listen to the little boy even as he started to ramble on about something completely different. However, when he noticed Patrick had stopped walking, Roland turned his head towards where he was looking and beam excitedly. It appeared his Daddy was up just as the other man had said as she raced towards his father. He couldn't believe how lucky he was that he was getting yet another day all to himself spent in the company of his father. In fact, there was nothing better in the little boy's mind except perhaps when the lady, Regina came to spend time with them. "Daddy, Daddy! I was playing hide and seek with Patrick and I won," grinned Roland as his father picked him up into his arms after the adults explained pleasantries. "Yes your son is an excellent little sneak," commented Patrick as he ruffled Roland's hair again making the little boy giggle. Roland tried to get him to leave his hair alone, but Patrick just continued to torture the poor boy. Eventually though, he allowed him to settle down in his father's arms. He certainly loved the little boy even if he did occasionally cause a little mischief, but so did the majority of them once upon a time. He sighed contently turning when his father asked him if he was ready to go, beaming up at his father with such adoration and love. He honestly couldn't imagine a life without his father in his life and only clung closer to him knowing he was going to take full advantage of this week with his Dad. Not exactly something he was use to getting, but he was happy about this at the moment. "I'm ready...I'm always ready. Are we really going to get a puppy? Can we go to Granny's for breakfast?" asked the little boy in a bundle of excitement. Patrick chuckled inwardly shaking his head as he nodded gently at Robin before making his way back to camp knowing that Rolan was fine now. Roland though appeared to have ingested a large amount of sugar considering how talkative he was in his excitement about getting a pet. He still felt as though he was being spoiled in this decision, but he was happy nonetheless in his bubbly attitude that didn't often show itself. Course, there was the odd except to this rule like his father, Regina and a few of the Merry Man in which he had grown up with. That and perhaps the one handed pirate that he was recently beginning to grow fond of sighing contently and yet restlessly. Normally he would have sat in his father's arms and been quite calm, but he was much too excited about this little adventure to care. "I love you, Daddy," said Roland after a couple of minutes, as he wrapped his hands around his father's neck to emphasize that point. If there was one certainty in this boy's life it was that, he loved his father very much, willing to do anything for him. Well, except for going to bed, baths and eating broccoli. Otherwise, he tried his hardest to please his father, doing what he could to make him proud to have him as his son. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0

the i love you from his son made Robin's heart melt . kissing the side of Rolands head hugging the boy . When marian died he made a vow that his kin would be safe . not another would fall because of his foolishness. rubbing the lads back Robin began to walk to town with the child in arms firmly . i love you too Roland your my world i do hope you know that. your my little buddy thief wanted to give Roland everything but realistically they lived off the land and survived with less. Which he could do but the boy should have more , its a parents job to strive for something better for their children. Hopefully robin was doing that he thought.
Granny's for Breakfast, hmm pretending to think about the inquiry , but already knowing that it would be yes. one pancakes and coffee sound like the heavens opened up . Maybe just maybe Regina would be there. the corners of his mouth perked up at the ideal of evil queen there . i would guess so and after we get your pet i thought we would go to the park as well. play with animal and maybe with some of the other children as well. Roland was shy but robin knew that if roland didnt grow to be more open and allow himself to play with others. that the child could find it difficult to relate to other kids his age.
bouncing Roland playfully as he walked the brisk morning air felt good in his lungs. awakening the man to point of bright eyed and bushy tailed. when he was archer in the army . they would take turns jumping in to the winter rivers to keep awake at times. it only hurt for few minutes but when they put their dry clothes back they would be up for hours. the cold had a way of making stay fresh for hours on hours. what shall we have breakfast ? Hmm ? shall we have mountains of candy and milkeshakes to wash it down with? teasing tickling the little boys ribs .

"I'm going on an adventure." Roland sighed contently once he was safely secure in his father's arms. He always felt safer there, probably because he was secure in his position in his father's life. He knew that he was always going to hold a special place in his father's heart and that meant the world to Roland. After all, he looked up to his father the majority of the time and well he didn't spend nearly enough time as he would like, he was still happy. Happy to always weasel his way into his Dad's arms no matter the situation and trusting that he would always be there for him. Wasn't like his father had given him a reason to distrust him currently so he was, of course, going to latch onto the man. He even had separation anxiety just from the sole fact of being alone without his father given how strong a bond they had. Though he always took a chance to say at least once that he loved his father, which was a little habit of his at the moment. As it stood though, he was just happy to have the week with his dad and even more so at the fact that he was getting a new furry friend to take care of. How lucky could he be? He felt as though everything would be alright now, even if the adults around him seemed rather stressed. He couldn't really understand the problems they were facing, so all Roland could do was just follow along and stay out of trouble. Which wasn't exactly easy for a 5-year-old with a natural curious instinct and a love of adventures. Still, he tried to keep close as his dad asked and didn't cause much of a fuss. It was the best he could do at the moment aside from showing his dad that he loved and cared about him. He didn't know what he'd do if it wasn't for his father, especially that night when the shadow man had come to get him. That had been one experience he wasn't soon looking to repeat and had resulted in a fear of the dark. At least his father was understanding enough to sleep with him. No way was he going to sleep by himself especially not at the camp they had set up with the other merry man. No, he wasn't going to go down that road even as a shiver of fear enveloped the small boy for the briefest of moments. Though he did smile happily when his father seemed to pull him in closer and kissed his little head as he carried him off towards town. Yep, there was no doubt about it, he was definitely Daddy's little boy and he was proud of it. "I know that. I've always known that and you're my daddy," informed Roland matter of factly as he merely clung more to his father to avoid him being dropped. Not that he really had to worry about that with his father being so careful around him. He just liked to make sure about it feeling his father's hand rub along his back in a comforting manner. He yawned a bit having had little sleep because of the excitement of the day, but if needed he'd probably just sleep on his way home. He was notorious for doing so especially when he was in someone's arms particularly his father or Regina. He always complained that he wasn't tired right before dozing off knowing he was safe and couldn't be hurt which was a big deal to Roland. So long as he was safe, he was happy and content to be his energetic little inquisitive self. However, once he was in the presence of strangers, he tended to clam up and grew rather shy, not really saying anything and giving some of the kids reason to pick on him. Not that he had told his father about it since he felt he could handle the teasing that he got. Not to mention his dad was never around when some of the kids picked on him, only because he was with a babysitter those times at the playground. He laughed though when his father seemed to consider the idea of eating at Granny's. As though he really had a choice in the matter because he really just wanted some of those special pancakes. Well, they weren't really that fancy except for the fact that his pancakes tended to come in different shapes. Which always amused Roland who was still adapting to everything including the television and other things. Though he was the outdoorsy type of child rather than the one that liked to sit around and watch tv all day long. He stared at his dad for the longest time wondering what he was going to say when he caught the smile from his father as he agreed that Granny's was a good idea. Course, how he planned to eat when he was so excited remained to be seen, but he had worked up an appetite playing Hide and Seek with Patrick. He clapped his hands happily though when his father finally conceded that it was a good idea. "That sounds like fun, Daddy," replied Roland, even if he was a little worried about another possible confrontation with the kids at the park. They didn't hurt him physically at least, but they did often question why he wasn't with his parents or why he didn't talk much making him feel rather insecure. He tried not to let the hurt show on his face though keeping a smile on his face as he cuddled in close to his dad. If he was lucky, his new pet would help him gain some new friends or at least want to play with him. That was his hope anyways as his father carried him further into town. He occasionally glanced around at some of the other shops, but most of his focus was on his father and what was happening. He exclaimed in glee though when his father started bouncing him around and making him laugh. Something that helped eased his mind about going to the park at least as he laughed and giggled as his father played with him. "I want those pancakes that Ruby makes and apple juice," replied Roland excitedly when his father asked what he wanted laughing at his father's suggestion of a breakfast. While that did sound rather appetizing to the little boy, he was more invested in the pancakes and really just wanted some apple juice. It was the best thing about coming to the Diner when they weren't having a home cooked meal at Regina's or the camp. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0

Smiling at the apple juice his son was far to sensible for such a small child. Bouncing boy in his arms as they walked. The metal carriages or cars as they called them seemed to complex for simple thief. So Robin would stick with walking and horse back riding. For now strolling would fine though but a horse during winter will be needed most definitely.
have you thought of names for your new pet? Hmm shall we call him Ernesto ? Teasing Roland enjoying the little aggravation that flairs from it. Or shall we name it Bob? smiling impishly .
pancakes and apple juice sound like a good choice. Regina might be there as well would like it if she joins us? at least the merry man hoped she would be . Robin enjoyed her company and he hoped Roland did too. Thirty minutes later Robin and Roland finally made it to the diner . Placing his son down on the ground so he could walk on his own . go pick out a booth Roland

"I'm going on an adventure." Roland was much to excited about spending the day with his dad to really settle in his arms. Normally, the simple action of being in his arms would have lulled him to sleep immediately. He was only 5 years old so it was entirely understandable for him to get tired much easier than his father or others. Except for this moment because how could he sleep knowing he had such exciting events planned today. Or rather his father seemed to as he bounced him playfully in his arms making the little boy giggle in excitement as he held on tightly to his father. He was just so happy to be with his Dad, knowing that nothing was more important that time spent with him because he was his lifeline. He was his everything as far as the little boy was concerned as they continued to make their way towards Roland's favourite restaurant. Well, it was one of the very few that they actually went to since quite a few times they had just gone over to Regina's house or eaten at the camp. Besides, Ruby and Granny were always so nice to him and treated him rather special like making fun shaped pancakes. He really liked the majority of the people in town though there were also still a few that made Roland a bit nervously. Still, so long as he was with his daddy he wasn't so afraid of these people except perhaps the lady in black that he occasionally caught a glimpse of. "Daddy that's a silly name. And I'm not sure yet.it depends on what it looks like," remarked Roland when his father asked him about names for his pet. He barely had even seen any animal except the odd squirrel and the dog Pongo, so how was he going to know what to name his own. Sure he had tried to come up with some, but nothing that really stuck for the little boy. How could you name a pet without even glimpsing it first? It just didn't work that way especially since he wasn't sure if he wanted a boy or even a girl yet. It just depend on what caught his eye first or made the most sense to the little boy. Though he was thinking he wanted a big dog or at least something that could be all cuddly with. He certainly didn't want a little dog like he'd seen in some of the pictures. He giggled even more when his Dad offered another name, shaking his head. He clearly didn't have any idea how to properly name a pet of any kind, but that was alright. Roland would be picking out the name anyways or at least he hoped he was going to be allowed to do so. He just merely shook his laughing a little more at his father when he suggested Bob as though that was the answer to everything. "I like Regina...she's really nice and lots of fun. She can join if you want. I don't mind," offered Roland since he knew that it really made his Dad happy to see her. True, he was just hoping that they could have one meal without her like they always did, but he really did enough her company. Arriving at the diner, Roland was happy to be there because it meant that they were only that much closer to walking down to the animal shelter. He was positively glowing from all the excitement that he thought today might bring as his father brought him inside and set him down on the ground. He was a bit confused at first as to why until his father allowed him to choose a spot for them to sit making him smile. It didn't appear as though Regina was in here, but that was alright as the little boy tried to decide a place for the two of them to sit. Really, he could have sat anywhere, but for the moment he made his way towards the wall where the big window was smiling at Ruby when they passed her. He liked Ruby the best as he wandered between the tables and eventually choosing one of the booths. Sliding into the seat he attempted to sit as quietly as possible as he beamed proudly at his father. "I like this one," announced Roland gesturing for his Dad to sit with him. The little boy just sat contently in his chair swinging his legs back and forth and looking at the menu as Ruby passed it to him. This was going to be a lot of fun he thought as his bubbily nature came forward like it normally did around his father, Regina and possibly Hook. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0

Such smart little boy Roland . Robin as he mad his way to he booth his picked out. The diner wasnt all that busy at moment most people were at work or school. Which since they would be staying Regina had been talking to him about sending Roland to preschool. The thief was a bit apprehensive , they really hadnt been separated in manner . yes on occasion did he leave the child with little john but this would be different.
This would mean Roland would be around peers and Robin didn't really know how his son would take it.scooting into the booth grabbing two menus handing one to Roland . alright when the waitress get here you can tell the lady what you want .
Glancing about turning sideway Regina wasn't here . which was a bummer to the thief for he was really looking forward to seeing her this morning. Signing picking up his menu , gazing over at Roland playfully sticking his tongue out . This was about Roland any how Regina was probably at the office already .
