@lancelot 189 Here it is!!! Long Live the king Merlin had told Arthur to go due south from his village, that it was there that he would meet an honorable man who would assist him with his quest in the prophecy that he'd foretold that he would become King. Arthur immediately took the best horse he could find from his current shelter. Dressed modestly, Arthur took the few days journey to the small makeshift tournament outside of a village. And found himself feeling a sense of excitement.
Arthur observed the Knights that were ordained in their best suits of armor and holding lances and the like. A jousting tournament got his hopes up as he held his sword to his side and gave a soft smile. He found himself wishing that he could participate. But he merely would observe and hope that this person that Merlin had spoken of would show his face.
And now he waited.... ulla

Lancelot rode his valiant steed into the tournament his head held high. The prize money would go back to rebuilding a small town in Myst Haven that had been ravaged by the Evil Queen. Giving his joust pole to his squire. Riding toward the arena a man caught his gaze over by the seating. Pulling heartily on the leather reigns the pure white horse reared back front hooves kicked in the air.
It was as if his horse grew frighten of the man. A feeling drawn the knight toward the stranger. Kicking his heels in making the horse go into a slow stride . you man you seem to be looking for someone . Who perhaps I may be of some service
Leaning forward resting his forearms against the saddle horn . Pushing back his helmet guard , there was nothing to show that this man was of importance nothing but a nagging gut feeling . my name is Lancelot du lac who may you be sir?

@lancelot 244 Here it is!!! Long Live the king Feeling his gaze moving towards a valiant man, Arthur got the gut feeling as well. Could this be the Knight that Merlin had prophesied about? Hearing the man say that he appeared to be looking for someone and introducing himself, Arthur would give a nod and a smile as he would make his reply.
"Indeed I am! I was told by a wise man that a Knight would be here and he would join me in a quest. I am Arthur of Ector, and it is a pleasure to meet you Lancelot!" he'd smile, looking over the brave man once more "You look fit for a joust, are you planning to compete?" Arthur would once again ask, as if testing and interviewing the Knight. Feeling drawn to him, it couldn't just be coincidence could it?
Finally the trumpets blasted, signifying that the event was about to begin. Arthur looked in the direction as a man began to spout off about the tournament and the prize money that would soon follow. Seeing gleams in other people's eyes as they thought about being rich he began to frown. He began to wonder though, this stranger had come out of nowhere and offered his assistance.
It would only be a matter of time before he'd see if Lancelot was a man of honor, and if he'd be worthy to join him. He didn't realize it, but Arthur had already begun to survey the man. ulla

Brows perked up by the story Arthur told him. It was incredibly interesting leaning back into his saddle . Hands gripping the saddle horn sighing as the announcer proclaimed the tournament was beginning. beware of older gentlemen giving prophecies. So this knight you seek did this man tell you what your solider looked like or was there another trait to make you notice?
Smirking the corners of ebony skin of cheek dent with the formation of dimple. Nodding Aye that I am, but unlike the others the profit will not be for me. I've taken a vow of poverty. The money would go to a village not far from here it was attacked by the evil queen. Such carnage should not have happened.
Bowing his the lid of his helmet slammed shut. I shall be back Arthur if you are gone may you find the man you seek . And may your journey be good one. riding off in the the joust. The game was done ratherly quickly Lancelot had broken his lance off in the helmet of his opponent. Hopping off the horse quickly running toward the injured man. Picking up the fallen knight carrying him off the field. Death in battle was one thing but in the form of amusement for royalty was a loathsome act.
Waiting outside the tent pulling his helmet off . He had made it to the next round. Not sure if he should continue when a life of someone hung in the balance.

@lancelot 300 notes Long Live the king Arthur observed Lancelot and before he could speak, he was gone due to the joust being called. He would move to watch and felt interested to hear what Lancelot had said to him. Merlin had told him of a humble and impoverished man who put others before himself. A valiant soul and fierce in the joust, Arthur got that gut feeling that Lancelot was the man he was looking for. And even more so seeing him carrying his opponent off the field. He snuck into the back of the tent and looked to the doctors and waited with them, learning that the man would live. He'd go to meet Lancelot.
"I am told the man will live, you need not worry my friend" Arthur would mention, placing a hand on Lancelot's shoulder. Sensing the man was indeed troubled by it "You can rest well, and know that you are doing what you can for people less fortunate than you" Arthur would gently smile, realizing that he had found his man.
"I have an offer to make you, it might sound odd at first. But I will tell you that a man named Merlin had told me of a man fitting your qualities would help me in my quest for Excalibur" he'd whisper quietly "He told me I was to be a King among these people, and he told me that a brave and valiant knight would help me to build a Kingdom that will be a shining light among others...and if you will join me, I promise you that no person will have to face the wrath of the Evil Queen ever again"
With that, Arthur would extend a hand to the man. Wondering if he would take it, if he would join him in his valiant quest. ulla

The moment the hand came down upon Lancelot's shoulder he held his breath. Waiting to hear the dreaded new of the man's death. But when he turned when heard Arthur's voice. Brow furrowing with confusion. How did this man know did he speak with the physicians?
Then the one name mention to he knew as a boy in King Georges kingdom. Merlin The stories came rushing back Excalibur his heart burst at the news . Here stood the just and right king he would fix the broken kingdom and untie the lands.
Doing what he felt Lancelot knelt to the ground the ground bowing his head in reverence to the man. it is not odd my lord as a child Merlin told me I would serve the rightful king one that would untie and serve justice . I was beginning to wondered if it not the ramblings of mad man. But now ..now that your here before me I know the truth . I will serve you I will fight for you and yours. My blade is your blade forever more.
Pulling out the Brightkiller his sword out sinking the tip in the ground pressing his forehead against the hilt I will go with you in journey your glory will be mine. What is the first task you ask of me my king?

@lancelot 167 Here it is!!! Long Live the king Looking to Lancelot kneeling before him and basically telling him that his sword was his. Arthur took his blade from its sheath and gently tapped his shoulders with it. "Then I knight thee, Sir Lancelot of Camelot. Rise Sir Lancelot, you are among not only your King but a friend" Arthur mentioned as he looked to his Knight, feeling his heart swell with excitement. What Merlin had told him was true.
Arthur peered over at his Knight and smiled as he nodded "It is best that we talk elsewhere, I fear that we may have eavesdroppers here" Arthur would again state as he looked around "After you are finished with the tournament, we shall ride North to my village, there I was raised and there is where we will begin our quest for others who are worthy to join us!"
Arthur finally looked to his Knight once more, and held his hand out, beckoning for him to continue "Make Camelot proud today Sir Lancelot" ulla

Bring knighted not once but twice in one life was surely a precious gift not to be thrown away . Rising up nodding his head at what Arthur had said. You are among not only your King but a friend that simple statement gave huge amount of awe to the man. Once been jaded by Kings of the like of George. To see someone care for his people and knight made Lancelot realize that Merlin had been truthful.
Bowing his head before heading back to he tournament. Several hours later Lancelot rode a top his steed waving t the cheering crowd. Winning top champion of all the lands , a wreath of pink rose drape over the horse neck. Riding back over to his King, a slow saunter pulling the regins to stop once in front of Arthur. my king you talk before of grave importance. Come my lord tell me what has weighed heavily upon you.
