THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN Neal was surprised that he was considering going to another realm, he would never actually do it. His son was here, and, the girl he cared about was here. And he was sure he wouldn't be able to take either of them with him, so what was the point? “This is your way of 'helping'? But, you're right. I don't really have anyone else to turn to who would actually understand.” Neal sighed softly, admitting it out loud. Glancing back at the orb, Neal was confused when Sariel made it disappear. “Wanting revenge doesn't always make people do things like that.” Neal felt like he was just caught up in this nonsense of good vs. evil, which he wasn't sure he liked. All he wanted was a normal-ish life. “You're telling me. My life will never be away from it.” Neal placed his elbows on his knees, and, rested his face in his hands. Even with that magic bean, his life had still been surrounded by the darkness of magic, and, his past. At Sariel's words, he lifted his head up again, before looking around “So what else have you picked up about me?”words: 194 | tags: Sariel | notes: |

Sariel looked at Neal Cassidy and eyed him carefully. This simple man with little no magic ability was closer to darkness then anyone else but still never gave in. It truly was remarkable when you thought about it. "When have you seen revenge not do that? If I remember correctly your father wanted revenge on a certain captain. Did he solve in a friendly manor?" Sariel sighed slight at the other questions Neal had asked him. "Darkness is a tricky thing. See once you let it in to your life it's hard to get it out." Taking a sip of his wine before he finsihed answering the question. "Look at who is in your life the daughter of a dragon and you're the son of the dark one, do you really think you will have a normal life?" Sariel laughed a little at the thought of them settling down and living the simple life. "There is one thing I'm not sure about you. Are you still in love with Emma?

THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN Neal had been closer to darkness then most others for most of his life, and, while the temptation had been strong, he'd managed to avoid giving into it. His life had been ruined by it too many times to count. “Well, in a way that's just who my father is. Doing things for himself in the strongest way possible. Magic and his need to control.” Neal said, sighing softly and lowering his head as he said this out loud. “Oh believe me, I've figured that out. It's almost impossible to completely get it out of your life for good. No matter how hard I tried.” Neal looked at Sariel, running his hands over each other. “I know you're right, but, at the time I didn't know that she was the daughter of a dragon. In a way I did have a relatively normal life for a while, but, I also knew it was too good to be true.” Neal had come close to having it a couple of times, but, at the same time his past had been the thing to take him away from it. The next thing Sariel asked made Neal look up at him again, that was something everyone seemed to ask him, and, the answer hadn't changed “I can honestly say that, while I did, and, on some level will always love and care about her. I'm not in love with her anymore though.”words: 238 | tags: Sariel | notes: |

"Interesting..." Sariel put his hands together it had been something that was on his mind since he meet Lily. "I find that answer interesting. After all Lily is the other side of the coin you call Emma. So you can understand why I asked that question." Sariel eyed Neal Cassidy closely the man could write a book if he really wanted to with all the thing he had been through. Sariel looked over at the clock that was on the wall before asking his question. "So now the question is what are we going to do about Lily?" The time had come for them to get down to the root of his visit. While he had enjoyed the talk he had to be on his way, there was a witch to free. "I won't lie to you and say I will stay away from her. Even though I'm pretty sure we both know that the path she is going down will be tied to me for some time." Shifting himself in the chair he waited for Neal's response,

Neal leant back against the chair as he continued to look at Sariel. “They aren't as opposite as you assume they are. There are a lot of similarities between Emma and Lily, but, I don't expect you to see that. But, yeah I do understand that on some level.” Neal kept his hands on top of each other, as he rested them on his lap. His tales of darkness and the things he'd faced were probably a lot more then most of the people here could say that they have witnessed and faced. “You're right that is the question. Obviously you already know what I'll say, so why say it again?” Neal asked, as he kept his gaze on the man. “We don't know that. And the only reason she's on this path is because of you. So, I'm going to make it clear. If you put her in danger, I will make it my personal mission to repay the favour.”

His threat was real and to Sariel's surprise Neal had a little of his father in him. He could almost hear the dark one in Neal's words as he spoke. Finally Sariel simply answered the threat in the most calm way possible. "I would never dream of it." Sadly as those words left Sariel's lip they became lies. He knew that she was going to be in danger after all she would be helping the villains. Still he would rather he not get hurt there was something about her that he liked, other than her fiery personality. "Still you talk about Emma and Lily as if they are the same person." Sariel got up from his chair and looked at the clock before looking back down at Neal Cassidy. He would soon have to leave his guest to meet up with his pet dragon. "Tell me do you really like Lily or is it because she is so similar to Emma?" Sariel took a step or two back from Neal giving him some space to think about the question that was just brought up.

Neal meant every word of that threat. Not a lot of things made him seem like his father, but, he was sure that the threat had made him sound it, even if only for a second. Nodding his head gently, Neal looked at him with his hands in his lap. “Glad to hear it.” Neal said, making sure that his gaze never left Sariel. He knew that while she was helping the villains there was risk of that, but, Neal was going to make sure that she stayed out of danger. And didn't get hurt. “Yeah, yeah I do.” Neal said, watching as Sariel stood up. At his question, Neal glared at him, why would he think that? “Of course, I really like Lily. She and Emma may be similar, but, there are differences between them too. And I like everything about her.”

"Thats touching..." Sariel looked back at Neal Cassidy with a smile. His answer was what he had expected his love for Lily shinned through out the whole conversation. "You truly do care about her, I hope she knows that." Sariel looked over at the clock on the wall, it was close to the meeting time. "Sadly Neal I must be off." Moving toward the front door Sariel opened it for his guest and waited for him to leave. "We must do this again, my door is always open if you wish to return." Talking to Neal was a nice change of pace from the normal heroes vs villains things that happened in this town.
