Since he was 14 all he'd wanted was his family back to the way it was. Now in a way he had it, his papa may never go completely back to the way he was, but, at least now he had proof that he loved him as much as he ever did. While things may take a bit to get back to normal with his father completely, Neal did have one other family member. His son Henry. He was the reason he came to Storybrooke that day, and, he was the reason he was here back on this island. Which also got him his father back. The way things should've been, that was all he'd been through his whole life. Going over the way things should've and could've been between the two of them. Neal had always thought that his papa was a coward since that moment. The moment he didn't come with him, simply because he was scared to be powerless. Growing up knowing that the man had chosen power over his own son. Neal was never going to abandon Henry, at least on purpose. "He's probably sleeping papa, he had a long couple of days. We all have. The smallest things can make even the hardest heart melt and break. Nothing sound more beautiful to Rumple then to have his boy back to his Bae utter that. It was second best to I love you papa. Choking back on the fresh tears that had once more sprung in his dark eyes.
The reason for his living for his pushing the curse the destruction across the realm the and his soul stood in front him not the little boy that slipped from his finger tips but the man bit now stood a proud and tall.
I can never take what happen to you away but I'm willing to move forward. But now your life will take a better turn Bae . you will always be surrounded by love ones ...Henry, Belle, me smiling once more wiping the single tear from his cheek.

Neal wasn't sure what had caused him to say that, but, he had felt that for so long and it felt nice to actually say it to him. He hadn't been this emotional around anyone in a long time, especially not his papa. He just kept things behind his 2 centuries worth of build up. He rarely let anyone past them, but, his papa was starting to. The man he had wanted to see so many times while growing up, but, also knowing it would never happen. Now, Neal was just glad that he had seemed to want him after all. Since he'd had the Evil Queen cast a curse to find a way back to him. This was something he wasn't used to growing up. He was alone, and, unwanted for a majority of his life. Maybe this was finally over. “I know you can't papa. And I'm not asking you to. I think I am too. Soon they would arrive back in Storybrooke and be a proper family with Belle. They could have a redo in a way all the things lost could be regained. I should have done more been there for you and this time I won't be a coward I will be a braver man for our family. Starting with Henry, I have the Pandora's box and no one will ever be able to get a hold of it again. Your boy will be protected from my father. NEAL CASSIDY  Lowering his head, Neal looked at his papa's hands wrapped around his. Looking back up, Neal felt the tears fighting their way through his eyes as he heard his papa's words. “You have no idea how long I've wanted to hear that.”
Neal had spent his whole life wanting his family, or just someone to care about him and make him feel not alone. Neal was just glad that he could finally have his family back. “I would've wanted that more then anything. I never thought you were a coward, well, before that moment. Thank you papa. For stopping me losing the only family I had left.”
Neal didn't want cowardness or anything to destroy this family again. And definitely not magic again. They could have their family complete. And hopefully, magic free.
