A soft laugh escaped her mouth when Neal mentioned his opinion about their first date. “Yeah… it wasn’t exactly the most traditional one was it?” she said with a smile still lingering onto her lips. It was the best first date she’d ever had. Neal had been her true love back then, the one where she’d hoped to spend the rest of her days with. Now, all of those thoughts were a part of the past. A part that had made her into the person she was at this very moment. Killian had taken over that part of her life now, the part of being her true love. Although she’d never told him that she loves him, Emma knows that Killian could easily tell by her behavior around him. All of the little things she would be annoyed by earlier, were now the little things that made her smile after a long day at the station or fighting against new villains that came to town. “Thank you for wanting to listen Neal. I’m sure that after I had some rest I might be a bit less disappointed but I won’t have forgotten about what they did. At least I might be calmed down.”Neal Cassidy

I grew up alone. I grew up without a father. You can make up for that?

"Well, I didn't have the most traditional child hood why should a first date be any different?" Neal asked, before laughing softly and looking at Emma. It was the most memorable first date he'd ever been on. Granted it was the only first date he'd ever been on in his life, but, still. Back then Emma had been his true love, the one he hoped to be with for the rest of his life. But, those thoughts were in the past. It was just another part of his past that had made him grow as a person. Making him the person he was now. These days his true love was different. His true love was his son Henry. Although, they hadn't had alot of time to be together as a family Neal knew that he loved his son with all of his heart. When-ever he was forced to help fight off a new villain, Neal had thought of nothing, but, Henry and keeping him safe. And also the possiblity of never actually seeing him again. Which made his heart break, and, made him more determined to beat this villain. "Hey, it's no problem. It's what friends are for right? Disappointment is something that never truly goes away, just like the memories of what made you disappointed. Yeah, sleep and rest does help calm a person down though."

Neal was right. The both of them could have expected their first date to be something like that. They weren’t exactly the most random people of the city, definitely their childhood was quite different than how it mostly went. It was a date she would never forget. She’d been with a few other men after Neal and never did she had a date like that. Probably because it wasn’t meant to be a date to start with. It was more of a ‘getting to know each other more’ moment after the luck they had with that police officer earlier on that day. Emma gave Neal a grateful smile. She’d never thought to accept his help or company ever again after what he’d done to her. It only proved that things weren’t always as you would have thought in the future. The blonde her attention went from Neal to the person that was in the distance, walking towards the both of them. It was Killian. He’d knew where he could find her. Maybe because it was this exact same place where he came to when he had to calm down or think something through himself. The water that gently rocked against the sides of the docks had a calming effect. As her eyes went back to Neal she could only be grateful to have such a good bond with the guy. “Thanks Neal. For the help” Neal Cassidy

His childhood had been unlike most others, when it came to a traditional sense. A childhood he wanted to forget, but, a first date he always wanted to remember. The only other first date he'd had was Tamara, but, he couldn't help, but, wonder if that was being staged from the start. He hadn't had many first dates before Emma either, so, it worked well, especially since it wasn't supposed to start off as a date. More of a innocent cup of coffee and getting to know you thing, after they got away from the cops earlier.
Neal returned Emma's smile. He never expected Emma to ever forgive him completely for what he'd done to her. But, now it just proved that the future could be a lot different then what it seemed in the past. It was the same thing with him and his father. He noticed Emma's attention and gaze going to something or someone in the distance, and, his attention went the same way. He saw that it was Hook, probably coming to comfort Emma. This was another relationship he thought wouldn't be the way it was now, based on past experiences between the two of them. He assumed that Hook had known to come here, because Emma had become a lot like him when it came to their relationship. And there was something comforting about this place. His gaze went back towards Emma, and, he smiled. “Anytime Emma.” Neal smiled and gently knocked her shoulder in a comforting way, before standing up. “I'll see you round.” Neal then turned back around and continued to walk nodding in Hook's direction on the way “Hook.”
