Neal kept that look on his face, the look as he remembered how Hook had pretended to care about him, but, was using him the whole time. Using him for revenge on his father. He knew that on the surface he shouldn't have cared, since his father had abandoned him, but, deep down he did care. More about being used and the fact that it turned out his mother had abandoned him too, but, also about the fact that Hook wanted to kill his father.
Changing the topic to the boat and what he'd need to know to sail this thing properly, he smiled down at Henry as he told him the official names of the front and back of the boat. The look on Henry's face, the excitement, it was the same look he'd had when Hook first taught him this stuff all those years ago. Neal raised his eyebrows at Henry's question, “Yeah, there could be.” Neal said, turning towards Emma, just as Henry had.
After telling Henry about his mother, he stayed glancing out to sea, hoping to have at least one memory of her come into his head. Neal smiled as he felt Henry hug him and wrapped his arms around Henry, hugging him back. He had family now, a real family that hadn't left him behind. As he continued to hold Henry in the hug, he felt a warmness in his heart again, a warmness he hadn't felt in years. When Henry released him, Neal smiled as he looked at his son "Thanks Henry. I needed that" Neal said, as he looked up at the sky before looking back down at Henry and placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, “So, if we want to get back to Storybrooke before dark, we better get going. Turn the wheel two notches towards starboard.” @henry

Spinning the wheel star board , leaning in to the turn shifting with the ship as a gush of wind filled the massive sail. Henry was doing this he was really doing this ...he was on a boat with his dad. But not just any boat no this was the jolly roger. He was sailing the same ship that he had dreamt about as a younger child. Glancing over at Neal grinning widely at Neal , what next? asking inquisitively not knowing if they should be handling other part of the ships. Spotting Emma going below deck to check his on grandpa. Lifting his gaze back up it was almost if the boat went into a warp speed. Um Dad ...what happening ? a bit dumbfounded by the whole thing. Surely when the pirate said this was fastest boat in all the realms it was just a tall tale. maybe that's how Hook got to New York so quickly? Mind tumbled some with all the new problems that ran about his mind. Trying to figure out everything would take time . Maybe Henry should have another look at the story book it seems that he may have missed a story or two. Neal Cassidy

Neal held up his hands, ready to help Henry turn the wheel if he needed him too, but, he seemed to be doing alright by himself and so he lowered his hands, placing his hand by his sides again. When he finished turning it towards starboard, he smiled and ruffled his hair “Nice work Henry.” Neal said, before raising his eyebrows in realisation. That was exactly what Hook had done to him, when he had gotten his first turn right. He was back on this boat, this time with his own son to teach.
Smiling down at Henry, he looked around to make sure he told him the right thing to do next. “Well Henry, next you have to...” Neal said, before pausing and noticing Emma going to check on his father below deck. Neal secretly hoped that his father was ok, but, he didn't want to focus on that. His father didn't get to come back into his life, and bring these feelings out in him. Coming out of his thoughts, he noticed Henry shouting at him, before noticing the wind making the boat go faster. “Don't worry Henry. I know what to do. Just let me take the wheel for a minute” Neal said, as he took a grip of the wheel and quickly turning the wheel a few notches towards port in order to avoid the wind making them pick up speed.
Neal's mind suddenly flashed back to his life aboard this ship when he was not much older then Henry's age and he had to control the ship while Hook and the rest of his crew were on the actual island doing whatever it is they did. Neal looked up as he saw that he had done that right and that the boat was now slowing down. “There we go. Just like that man taught me” Neal said, letting Henry take part of the wheel again now. @henry

Relief that Neal was here to help him. But the boy kept noticing how his dad was being distracted . Maybe it had to do with the guy that had taught him. you must have cared fir this Hook once . He seems to be your thoughts a lot.
Wondering if this Hook had been like dad to Neal. once again they were the straight and narrow. Beaming looking up at his dad and put his hands back on the wheel. I've got this if you want to go see Mr. Gol..I mean gramps..er your dad. this was going to take time to get use since finding out he had more family.
How hard was this going to be? It was smooth sailing at this point and it might do them some good to see each other just in case if Gold passed away. Frowning henry thought about Belle she wouldn't even remember him . Everyone deserved to be remembered.

Neal was glad that he was there to help Henry, he would always be there to help him. Even if being here on the ship made him flash back to his old life here. Hearing Henry's question, he smiled softly, before glancing back out at sea “It's complicated. Let's just say I let him get close to me and ended up getting hurt”
The truth about what really happened with Hook, was really not something he wanted to go into the details. The closest thing he'd had to a father had hurt him, just like his real father did. Neal smiled as Henry beamed up at him, making sure that both of them had a firm grip on the wheel. This was going well, then his father had to be mentioned again “Not right now Henry. It can wait” Neal said, glancing towards where he knew his father was being kept.
Neal knew that there was some stuff he wanted to make sure his father knew just in case he died. As much as he hated his father, he had to make sure he knew just how much it hurt him all those years ago and for all the years since. Neal trusted that Henry knew what he was doing, but, could he trust himself to risk saying goodbye to his father. He'd figure it out. Neal may just wait until Storybrooke, it'd give him more time.

Henry stood still and looked out to sea it was not his intention to cause more harm then good with his dad. it just seem that Mr. Gold seem to be really remorseful. maybe this was a lesson he should take as well since his own mom and him aren't talking . Could this be what happens to them? Bitterness and separation for god knows how long . I'm sorry that happened to you . maybe one day he would changes his ways. that can happen right ? people can change? henry wanted to hear yes that means his mother Regina could be better then she was before. up in the horizon the clock tower Henry could see the clock tower.
dad , dad look its Storybrooke pointing off in the distant was the out line of home. hopefully everything was okay and nothing to out of the out weird had happen.

The two of them seemed to just stand there in silence for a while, as the topic of parents came up again. Neal didn't know much about his father in this world, but, all he did know was that his father hadn't wanted him when it came to making a choice. Let him go so easily. Neal knew that, he may one day forgive his father, but, it wasn't going to be that easy. “Don't be sorry. It's not your fault. It may be possible Henry, anything is. Yeah, people can change.” Neal said, knowing that he may not completely believe this himself.
As Henry called out that they had reached Storybrooke, he turned and looked at it. “Wow! Alright, when we get close enough, I'll show you how to stop this boat.” Neal wondered what to expect in this town when they got there. @henry

Relief happen when his dad said people can change that meant the world . Even though the tone didn't really sound so sure. Scuffing his shoes on the wood . The slight swaying on the ship from the ocean waves made the small boy wobble a bit.
Glancing up with a excitement , really how ? there wasn't a break thingy like on a car. Henry looked about ship deck. Maybe it was one of the peg things plunged into the mass. is it one of those things does that make it happen? pulling on random posts near steering wheel trying make boat halt .

Neal knew that he was saying this for Henry's sake, to help re-assure him, but, he was also doing it to convince himself of it. He wanted to believe that his father could do the same thing. Seeing Henry wobble slightly, Neal held his hands out slightly to make sure his son stayed steady.
“There's a trick to it.” Neal said, remembering exactly what Hook showed him when telling him all the parts of the ship. As he saw Storybrooke getting closer, he chuckled as he saw Henry fiddling with the posts on the ship. “It's this one actually.” Neal said, taking a grip of a rope not too far from the steering wheel. “This one leads to the anchor. We need that to be able to stop this thing. It's basically a ship's brake” @henry

Placing his hand on top of his father hand. Wanting to help pull the rope as well. Wanting to drop anchor to stopping ship. Yanking the rope down the creaking of chains dropping the anchor down into the ocean. Slowly bring the ship to halt just in time to roll in next to the dock.
I can't wait to show you around town. You can meet my other mom Regina. henry exclaimed excitedly . But for now they had to call Gramps and Grams and get Gold to the shop. Hopefully everything would be working out for his other grandfather. Up in the parking lot for the dock henry spotted the beige and brown truck there is Gramps and Grams I guess Emma called them. Looks like you get to meet them sooner then we thought.
