(Think of this as an oral interview ^_^)
Inside My Character’s Head!
1: What does their bedroom look like?
My bedroom? Which one? I have a few. One at my parents, one at my uncle’s , and one here in Storybrooke. My own bedroom at my parents is a mes. I have posters of Owl City and Stellar Kart on my walls, and my room is decorated in green and purple, which are my favorite colors. My room at my Uncle’s house is pretty much plain. Beige walls. Beige sheets, and a simple dark wood dresser, that has a small tv on top. My room in my current home is simple as well. The mayor has decorated them in soft colors such as beige, pink, or whatever colors are soft *Thinks* I don’t spend too much time in my room so *smiles cheekily*
2: Do they have any daily rituals?
Daily rituals. I listen to my music a lot I may or may not sing along with it, and dance around while doing chores *blushes* Let’s see, what else. I go to Granny’s to get either Cocoa or White Chocolate Mocha. I read; and by read, I mean, listen to my audio version of the Bible twice a day. Once when I wake up and once when I go to sleep. Other than that, not unless you count the essentials to living. Eating, drinking, sleeping, brushing the teeth, and what not. *nods*
3: Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?
Do I exercise? *thinks* I walk to and from work sometimes. I dance. Other than that, no, but I do eat healthy, so I'm not completely out of shape *nods*
4: What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy?
Well, let’s see. I can’t cook to save my life, so I would probably just go to Granny’s. I highly doubt my kitchen would be busy, because well, they all know I can’t cook, and I eat microwavable foods most days, so yeah. *looks anywhere but at the interviewer*
5: Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.)
Erm, well, I keep things organized for the most part. I mean, all my school work and work stuff are in a certain spot so I know where to find them, but other than that….*leaves her sentence hanging*
6: Eating habits and sample daily menu
Most days I eat pot pies and whatever food is microwavable. There are some days where I’ll eat at Granny’s diner, or Red, Snow, or Belle will invite me over for dinner, and those days I actually eat food that’s not processed and microwavable.
7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time
My favorite way to waste time. Hmm, well, there are a lot. Listening to music. Playing video games with Henry. Learning how to be a pirate with Hook. Going to the diner to talk to Red. Stuff like that. Normally, back at home, I’d just be following my friends around, and causing trouble and mayhem, so this town should be glad I’m somewhat mellowed.
8: Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging
Hmm, white chocolate mocha. Nuff said *crosses arms, as her eyes glaze over in day dream* Oh, oh, and erm, music. I love to indulge myself in music *nods* It helps my troubles melt away so to speak.
9: Makeup?
Yes. I actually went through a face, up until my first few days here in Storybrooke, where I would wear all black, and wear very dark makeup. Now, I just wear enough to look professional. After all, I can’t show u p to school or work, wearing nothing *nods*
10: Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?
Erm, what now? *looks confused*
11: Intellectual pursuits?
Erm, well, if you promise not to tell anyone, because I don’t do sappy people who go “oh, we’re so proud of you” *gags* but, erm, I am currently enrolled at NYU, majoring in business management. I am minoring in Musical Education. I’m not sure if that’s what you count as intellectual pursuits though. *thinks*
12: Favorite book genre?
*Thinks* I don’t really know the genres of audiobooks I listen to, but I like reading the Bible, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and the Gallagher Girl series. *nods* I like a few other individual non series, but yeah.
13: Sexual Orientation?
I like men. There are hardly any in this town, but I’m not going to not like men because i haven’t found any that suits my needs yet. *shrugs*
14: Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)
Well, I have a few abnormalities. I have a scar that goes from my elbow to just below my palm of my right hand. I got it when I tried climbing the trees for the first time, and I slipped off a branch, and my forearm rub against one of the sharp edges off the tree. It’s not that noticeable, unless you’re trying to notice it. I also have a disability called dyslexia, meaning that my reading and writing skills are not up to par with people my age. *shrugs* Oh, I’m not sure if this is considered a food tolerance thing, but erm, I kind of get like crazy hyper if I drink or eat anything chocolate. Oh, and energy drinks and coffee are even worse. *nods* I was pretty bad when I was younger, but well, I kind of learned how to watch how much I’m eating or drinking stuff, so thankfully the peeps here haven’t witnessed me on a sugar high yet *giggles*
15: Biggest and smallest short term goal?
Short term goal. To get a promotion working with Regina, that is, if she’ll rehire me. I’m still not sure where I am with her at this point *thinks*
16: Biggest and smallest long term goal?
I want to be in business. Working with Regina has made me realize how much I love working in business. Now, I may not work in the exact job that I work now, but I'm hoping if I’m still around, and Storybrooke is still around, that Regina will take me on as an apprentice. If that fails, I could start my own Music Business. *shrugs*
17: Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress
Unless it’s a school uniform, or work close, I dress in whatever makes me comfortable. I don’t dress to please people. If they don’t like the way I dress, then well, that’s their problem. Not mine.
18: Favorite beverage?
White Chocolate mocha *daydreams again*
19: What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
Depends on the day. Sometimes I think about what life would be like had I not come to Storybrooke. Sometimes I daydream that I am one of these people. And sometimes, I'm just too tired to give a damn, and I’m asleep right away.
20: Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?
Not that I remember, unless you want to count dyslexia as a childhood illness. But, then again, still have it so *thinks*
21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs?
Turn-Ons: I like people who are friendly, but not to the point where it’s sickening. I like people who are not afraid to get their hands dirty. I like people who are calm and collected.
Turn-Offs: I despise people who allow others to walk all over them. I hate the fact that they act like nothings wrong, when clearly there are things wrong. I hate sickenly sweet people. I despise men who think that just because they’re cute, that I’ll fall head over heels for them. I do tend to like the nerdy types after all. *Smiles*
22: Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
Hmm, well, my writing skills are horrible, and I can’t draw to save my life, so, I’d probably just doodle on the paper, and then end up throwing it away *shrugs*
23: How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life?
*looks at interviewer before bursting out in laughter* Yeah, good one!
23: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care?
Business and music. *nods* Every other subject can rot in hell for all I care.
24: Fave about intellectual pursuits at all?
Your question confuses me. So, pass!
25: How do they see themselves 5 years from today?
Five years from now. Well, let’s see. *counts on fingers* I’m 18, so 18, 19, 20, 21, 22. *looks up* I don’t know. Hopefully finished with college and running a successful business, but I could as well be behind bars. It wouldn’t be the first time. *smiles guiltily* Then again, maybe I can convince Hook to allow me to travel the seas with him if all else fails.
26: Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout?
Hmm, well, Casey wants to go into Business, so she’s already on the that route, with college. Her back up plan is to open a Music Store or maybe travel the world if she is ever able to leave Storybrooke.
27: What is their biggest regret?
I have no regrets. Yeah, I did bad things, but they have made me stronger. If I hadn’t done them, then I may not have ended up here and met some of the most awesomest people one can ever meet.
28: Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy?
My best friends are Regina, Red, Snow, Henry, and Belle. They are the ones that I click with the most. Yeah, ok, I love Hook and Emma, and they mean the world to me as well, but we don't’ have that connection that I have with the others. I didn’t really get to interact with them too much. Ok, so I got to talk to Hook a few times, learn how to be a pirate, and I love him like a brother, and he is kinda hot….erm, where am I going with this again/? Oh, my enemies? King George, Peter Pan, Cora Mills. You know *shrugs*
29: Reaction to sudden extrapersonal disaster (eg The house is on fire! What do they do?)
Well, I would hide because most likely the accident would involve me. Never ever let me near a stove. *nods*
30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dieds)
Well, I tend to push people away if someone dies. I am afraid that if I get too close to them, they’ll all eventually leave me. *shrugs*
31: Most prized possession?
My Volkswagen. It has been through a lot. My uncle allowed me to keep it as a graduation gift. *nods*
32: Thoughts on material possessions in general?
Meh, I like my car, I like having cell phones, and computers, but I suppose i could live without them if I had to. I mean, I have my friends here to keep me company and they don’t live far, so …..
33: Concept of home and family?
I don’t know. I mean, I love my family. I may act like I don’t appreciate them, but I do. They are my life, and it damn near killed me when I found out that I was taken from my birth parents. Sure, I”m glad I grew up with mum and dad, but I would have loved to grow up with my birth parents. As far as my future, who knows. I hope that I can meet the one that I”ll marry, and have kids someday, but I'm only eighteen. I’m still young and somewhat naive.
34: Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?)
Well, I live in a small town. There’s really no room for secrecies.I do keep secrets if they are important that I do so, but if I was told to keep a secret that would endanger a friend, then I would do my best to make sure that they know.
35: What activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time?
Hanging with Snow and Red *laughs* I’m just kidding. They aren’t a waste of time, well, unless they get all sappy and what not, then yeah, kind of, but for real, waste of time, well waste of time would probably be watching tv or playing video games. But, hey, if I get the chance to beat Henry’s ass (which I still have yet to do sadly), then hell yeah, I would waste my life away. I love that kid way too much.
36: What makes them feel guilty?
Alot of things.A Lot of trivial things. One of them is being a jackass to my friends when I first showed up here nearly two years ago. Another is keeping my best friend in the dark about his past life. *shrugs*
37: Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making?
Hmm, I am one of those type of people who react before thinking. So, I’m probably more emotional. *blushes*
38: What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
Being around friends who know how to make me feel better. *smiles*
39: Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither?
Me? Superior? Only when I know I am right. There are times where I think I'm stupid as well, but I think that I’m pretty balanced. *shrugs*
40: How misanthropic are they?
I don’t know what that means.*shrugs* Dyslexic, remember?
41: Hobbies?
I have a lot of hobbies; listening to music, playing the piano, singing, playing videogames. You know, stuff that doesn’t involve writing. *smiles cheekily*
42: How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education?
I graduated high school, and I just finished my first year of college. As for my views, I think that everyone deserves to have an education, even if they don’t like it at first. It’ll save people in the end. It certainly stopped me from being as rebellious as I used to be.
43: Religion?
I am a Christian. I am not going to get into the discussion of religion, just because I don’t have all day, and I”m sure you don’t want to sit here discussing why is why such as what. *shrugs*
44: Superstitions or views on the occult
No, I am not superstitious. However, after witnessing some very powerful stuff here in Storybrooke, I am starting to believe that certain things are real. However, I will not allow that to get in the way of my beliefs.
45: Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?
I am very vocal with my words. Let me just put it that way. If you piss me off, I’ll just go on a rampage. However, I do keep most of my problems bottled up unless pressured into talking. *shrugs*
46: If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?
Fall in love? Me? Well, I don’t know. I mean, I haven’t met Mr. Right yet, so I’m not sure what I”m expecting. I would hope that my type of man would not judge me for who I am, and is friendly with my friends and family. But, I would accept them for who they are. Besides, I don’t believe we can control who we do or don’t fall in love with.
47: How do they express love?
Well, erm, I don’t really know how to express my love. I’m friendly, I’ll hug, but sometimes it’s just awkward. I’m still at that stage where all this mushy stuff is weird. Though, I just listen to my friends and am there for them I guess.
48: If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?
If? Please, you would not believe how many fights I”ve been in. Most arguments I get into end in fists fight, though there are times where I’ve learned to control myself. I also punched the Mayor straight in the face, after I told her I knew about magic. I stomped on Emma’s foot, and twisted her arm. You know, I fight back if I feel threatened. *shrugs*
49: Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?
No, but then again, I can understand why people would be. I mean, I know where I’m going to end up when I die, but there are those out there who don’t believe in an afterlife. So, I suppose that if I were in their position, then yes, I would, if I didn’t know for certain where I would be, but I do, so no, not afraid.
Developing Your Character!
1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their
father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
My parents and I didn’t always get along. I sort of went through this phase, where I didn’t want anything to do with them, but I still still loved them, and still do. We are on better speaking terms since I have matured a bit, though there is a little rift between us, because well, I learned just recently, nearly a year ago, that I am adopted. I don’t like being kept in the dark, even if they were just protecting me.
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
My red hair *nods*
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
I have a scar that goes from my elbow to the palm of my hand on my right hand. I was climbing a tree, and I slipped off one of the branches, and well, there are these barks, that kind of stick out , like on the pineapples, and yeah, wasn’t good. *shudders*
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
I’m ok looking I guess. I have curly red hair that never wants to behave, but I do have a nice smile. As for attractiveness, well, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I think a few boys would hunt me down *smiles*
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
Hmm, I just took the test, and apparently I am a 0. I think that is what you would call a straight woman? *thinks*
6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
My happiest memory? The fact that I got to see my friends here in Storybrooke again. *smiles*
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Plenty of them, but a major one would be the fact that I had a falling out with Regina. I know we’re closer than ever, but I still have bad dreams about that night. *frowns* Especially with everything that’s going on lately. I’m afraid I’m going to lose her *blushes* What? I can be sentimental when I want to be.
8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
I like chocolate mint ice cream. My favorite colors are green and purple. My favorite song currently is Roar by Katy Perry, and my favorite flowers are roses.
9.) Who does your character trust?
I hardly trust adults, but I do trust the people of Storybrooke (except Gold and Zelena), and my family.
10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
I believe the turning point in my life was when I got into that accident. It made me realize that life is short, and yeah, I’ll have falling outs with people, but I take my friendships more seriously now because of it. Another turning point in my life was being exposed to these people in Storybrooke. I’m a very guarded person, and having been de aged (which I still need to kill Gold for that), these people have seen me as I was, before I became this outspoken rebel. *shrugs*
11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
I’ve taken tests like that before. I identify with weasels. Not exactly sure what that means for me, but *shrugs* there you go.
12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
I am pretty efficient with Technology. I have a Facebrooke,a cell, and all that jazz. *smiles*
13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
When I go to bed, my hands are under her pillow, and covers over my head. When I wake up, my pillows are hanging half off the bed, and my covers tangled around me, and my sheets somehow find their way off the bed, and twisted around my legs. *shrugs*
14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
Hmm, I don’t know. I’ve only ever lived in states where it’s relatively cold or relatively hot. *shrugs*
15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Hmm, I am a night owl. Usually, it takes about 4 cups of coffee to get me up and going properly for the rest of the day.
16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Blood relatives? Well, if you wanted to be technical, I don’t know who my blood relatives are. I am adopted you see. *shrugs* I do consider my parents (my adoptive parents) my blood relatives, and my uncles as well. *nods*
17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
Bahahahahaha, yeah, good one. You can ask my friends about that. I’m sure they w
19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
I prefer to drive my Volkswagen. However, I do walk on occasion, if I need to think.
20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?
Erm, yes, I have a few irrational fear. Fear of hospitals. They did nothing wrong too me, I just can't stand them. The smell gets to me. I may not act afraid while in there, but erm, well, just ask Regina and Emma. I tried to escape from the hospital after an accident I was on. I also don't like needles. So, that's another point against hospitals *Nods* Oh, and I have this fear of being seen as weak. Anything involving me caving in easily is weak in my eyes. I have this image in my head of being this tough person who's not afraid of anything, or who can't be taken down but anything, but I do let things such as hospitals, my dyslexia, and the fact that I can be taken down by a little thing such as being ticklish get to me. I do have an image to uphold you know. *nods* I want people to take me seriously after all *superman pose*
21.) What would your character’s cutie mark be?
Probably a silver pair of slippers, because, well, I can you know, portal jump. I’m still learning how, but I know I can do it. *smiles cautiously*
22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
*chuckles bemusedly.* If I could? I’m not completely sure, but I think I can. Just need to learn how still. Note to self, talk to Goldilocks.
23.) Is your character superstitious?
Nope, not really *shrugs*
24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
My ideal romantic partner would be someone who makes me laugh. Someone who’s not afraid to speak their minds. Someone who likes me for me, and not because I’m just a pretty face or smart or stuff like that. *shrugs*
25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
My hands are small. I have long slender fingers, and my nails are usually unpainted. I do have a cut here and there for when I go tree climbing.
26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
My favorite comfort food, Spaghetti. Favorite Vice, not sure what that is. Favorite outfit, the one I wore when I first came to Storybrooke. Favorite hot drink, White Chocolate Mocha. Favorite time of year? Spring. Favorite holiday, Christmas.
27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
Hmm, Radioactive would be one, because well, I don't know why exactly, I just feel that I stepped into a new age type of thing. I went from not knowing about fairy tales being real to being the daughter of Dorothy. I feel like i"m stepping into the unknown. I would say Roar because well, I went from this shy person that let people step all over them, to this strong, confident, and sassy woman. *shrugs*
28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Honestly? I'm not sure. I'd have multiple genre's. Rated R for language, Family for the times I get along with my friends, Drama and suspense? *Shrugs* I was never good at figuring out what the different genre stood for.
29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
I smell like baby powder and that tattooed by Inky perfume. *shrugs*
30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
Casey,
I know this is going to be hard to beleeve, but I am you, from the Future. There are so many things that I want to tell you, that I simply can’t just put into words at the moment. One thing that you should do is never give up. I know life is hard, and you just want to give up, but if you do, well, who knows what will happen. Do not give up on the tootering lessons for dislxeeuh. Trust me, if you learn at a young age, then you will be better off. Uh nother thing you should do is to learn to be kind and pashent with adults. THey may be idiotic and distrustful at times, but you will miss out on some wonderful relashunships if you don’t. Oh, and if you do turn out better, You need to ask mum amd dad about your origin. Trust me, you’ll be better off knowing and maybe you won’t be so reebelleeus. Anyway, I think that is all I have to say at the moment. Sorry for the spelling errors. Can’t help it. <3
