Fixing Up (Belle & Henry)

Belle sighed and looked down at the little boy in front of her or should she say young man. "So Regina done not know you are here?" She asked with a shrug kind of figuring and just hoping Regina would not cause any problems while Henry was here. She didn't respond when he asked who she had, had trouble with. "Why don't we start painting here then we can work our way into the other room. I want to paint a play area in there for little kids and then I found a box of old books in the basement and maybe you can help me go through them and we can decided on the ones we can keep and the ones that can't be saved." She as she thought about the three boxes of books she had found in the basement just before Regina has attacked her and destroyed the library.

She looked at Henry and saw that he was wearing cloths that were not fit for paining a room in. "Hey if you go back in my office there is some old shirts in there that you can put on over your cloths so that you won't mess up what you have on." She suggested as she used a screw driver to open up the paint. "I got them for when the young kids come in for a craft day that I am planing to set up for them. But I am sure there are some in there that will be even way to big on you." She explained to him, with a smile on her face as she thought about all the things she wanted to do here at the library.

She wanted to set up a day once a month to start with that would be for kids 12 and under that could come in and do crafts and then have the older kids read books to the younger kids. She thought it would be a great idea and a huge hit. If it goes as well as she hopes it will she was going to take it to once a week. But for now it would be for just once a month. She thought with another smile as she pored some paint into the paint trays, while Henry went to get a paint shirt on.

Belle worked on painting her part of the wall but after a while looked over at Henry. She could not help but laugh as the sight of him covered in paint. He looked like he was having so much fun. She just left him to it and went back to working on her part. She wondered if he got a chance to get to do things like this with Regina.

She stopped painting and looked over at him when he asked who was causing her trouble. She didn't want to upset Henry but yet she didn't want to lie to him either. She didn't believe in lying to children. She sighed as she sat down her paint roller. "I am not sure I should tell you that Henry. I don't think it is my place. I thought your grandfather or Emma might have said something to you about but if that have not then I am not sure if I should." She said not sure what she should do. "How about we take a break and you can come into the back with me. I have some sandwiches, cookies and sodas if you want some." She suggested hoping that might distract him for a little while.

Belle sighed feeling bad for not telling him what he had wanted to know since he first asked her. She knew he was right she and everyone else had kept this from him and he had every right to be disappointed and upset with them. He knew about most of the bad things his mom has done in the past. "I didn't tell you and I think everyone else didn't tell you because we didn't want to you see that Regina has not changed. We wanted you to still see that good in her." She said as she ran a hand through her hair and wondered if there was any good in her. But there had to be. She did raise Henry or was raising him and he was a kind, caring and loving young man that wanted to see the good in everyone. And she wanted him to see the good in her. No matter what she was still his mom.

She took a deep breath and looked at him. "I will make you a deal from here on out I will not keep things from you but if what I tell you, gets to be too much you need to tell me to stop. You are a very wise young man that from what I have been told is way wise beyond your years and who has been through a lot over the years so you don't deserve to be kept in the dark about things that in the long run does involve you." She said holding her hand out to him. "How about we sake in it and then I will tell you want Regina wanted." She said smiling at him as she decided to treat him like a young man and not a child. He didn't deserve that no one did. She hated it when people kept things from her and she was not going to do that to him any more.

She looked down at her for a minute when he asked what Regina had wanted from her and thought about what to tell him or how to tell him. She didn't want to upset them. Then she thought about what she had just told him about being honest with him and not keeping things from him. She knew she was probably going to piss Mary, David and Emma off for telling him and she knew Regina was going to come after her again but she had promised to tell him. So she was going to keep that promise and deal with the fall out later. "There is a dagger that can kill Mr. Gold or Rumpelstiltskin as he is also known. She wants it so she can kill him and when I would not tell her where it was or that I even knew about it she attacked me and destroyed the library." She said just coming out and telling him. She didn't sugar coat it she just told him the truth just like it was. No more lying to him or any one else. She thought as she looked up at Henry again.

Belle's heart broke as she listened to what Henry was saying about how Regina promised to change and use magic for good. She felt bad for him and wondered what had changed between the time Regina made that promise to Henry and now. She could see and hear the pain in Henry's face and voice.

Belle sighed as Henry all but begged her to help him find out of someone was controlling Regina. She didn't know what to believe. Henry always saw the good in people but at the same time the bad. So she knew that if he thought something up with his mom then there might be. She was not sure if she could help him or not. Even if someone was controlling Regina, Belle was still angry with for what she had done to her and it was not about the attack it was about her being locked up and kept from the world just so Regina could use her as some kind of bargaining chip over Rumpelstiltskin.

She sighed and cured as herself no matter what she felt about Regina she would not use it again Henry. "Alright Henry I will try and help you."She said not sure if she was making the right chose or not. She could just be making things worse.
