DURING THE CURSE
Ruby watched Mary Margaret storm out of the diner, leaving Dr. Whale to be all alone at their table. Ruby frowned. She didn't really know what just happened, but Mary Margaret looked pretty upset, and Dr. Whale looked maybe even heartbroken. She walked over to where he was sitting.
"I guess I'll be making this check out for just one person now, right?" Ruby asked him.

Whale sighed as Mary Margaret stormed out. Really, I can never get anyone to give a crap about me, can I? he thought as he looked at the unfinished plate of food across from him. He had acted like a bit of a jerk, he could admit, but couldn't she have given him a chance?
Whale smiled weakly as Ruby came up to the table. "I guess so." He got his wallet out, preparing to pay the bill.

Ruby nodded as Whale began to take out his wallet. She wanted to ask about what happened between him and Mary Margaret, but wasn't so sure if he would tell her. Ruby sighed, and bit her bottom lip.
"Hey so what happened between you and Mary Margaret? You two looked like you were getting along just fine and then she walked out." Ruby said with a shrug. She hoped that he would tell her, so that maybe she could try to help him out in some way.
