Regina gave David a nod "of course." She walked over to the fridge pulled out a bottle of water for him and her."Here you go David, but you are thirsty. Working those long hours at the animal shelter. That is such a noble thing to do." She unscrewed the bottle and took a small sip. The Mayor looked over at the timer "well we have thirty minutes left before dinner is done."
She turned her attention back to David, it amazed her how much how unlike Charming , David was. Regina tilted her head looking him over , she arched eyebrow and bit her lip. "When I was younger I used to love riding horse, so I understand why you work there. The love of animals, and wanting to take care of them is a precious thing." She shyly stated brushing some hair back away from her face.

David took the bottle of water that Regina gave to him. “Thanks” he said, before he opened to bottle to drink from it. When Regina told him it was noble that he took care of animals he felt a bit uncomfortable. He didn’t know what to think right now, the mayor seemed so different at the moment that he almost didn’t recognize her.
“Well, someone has to do it, animals are actually the most honest creatures. You will immediately notice if they like you or not.” He gave her a small smile before he looked at his feet for a moment.
He noticed that the mayor turned her full attention to him and he wasn’t used by her doing that. He crossed his arms in front of him in a relaxing way, leaning against the kitchen counter. “Oh so you liked horse riding? Actually I’m also a little bit interested in that, I would like to say that I did it as well, but actually I can’t remember myself riding a horse so… “ he gave her a smile.

Regina chuckled when David made the horse back riding comment. "It's not hard, if you would like to learn. I can teach you if you would want me to." She stated nonchantly as the mayor leaned over the kitchen island. "On my days off I go to the stables take care my of horse." She wasn't lying it was one of her favorite things. The timer went off on the stove, "If you want you can go to the dinning room. I will bring you your plate." She grabbed a pot holder and walked over to the oven. The brunette bent over to pull it out ,she looked over her shoulder with a smile. "Go on ,David I promise I will bring it to you."
Regina helded lasaugna out with her brows perked up and a smile. She placed the food on the counter next to the plates , she diahed out two helping for them. Pushing through the swinging door holding their dinner, "Would like some wine to go with this?"

“Well if I ever feel the urge on learning how to ride a horse, I will think about your proposal” he said with a smile.
After Regina told him that he could go to the dining room he left the kitchen and walked towards the dining table. He took a seat and looked up when Regina entered that room as well holding 2 plates with lasagna. “Erm.. I think I better keep drinking that delicious water, I still need to drive home and I don’t want to cause any trouble on the road on my way there” he said with a friendly smile “but thanks for asking”
When Regina put his plate in front of him, the smell of it was absolutely brilliant. “It smells really delicious Regina, I’m sure that it will taste even more delicious” he took his fork in his hand and put some of the lasagna on it which he brought into his mouth “mmm yep, like I thought, it tastes delicious” he looked at her with a friendly smile “Kathryn doesn’t make such a good lasagna like this one, actually she doesn’t make lasagna at all. You really should give her the recipe.”

Regina nodded when he said no to the wine,"Oh of course how silly of me, I forgot." She went and grabbed another bottle of water. The Mayor smile "Well took a few years to get it right, Lot's of mistakes before getting it to this point." She sat down in one of the dinning chairs. "Ah, I'm Kathrine cooks wonderfully,but if you insist I will give you the recipe before you leave."
They had finished dinner and were just sitting there talking about past events of the town since David had come out of the coma. When he ask her how she found him , she stumble a bit."It was late in the evening on one of the coldest night of the year.(Regina leaned in putting her elbow on the table)I forgot my phone, and I thought to myself you don't need it just go home. Something made me turn around ( she reach out placed a hand on top of his)that's when I found you on the side of the road. David,you were so cold , Whale said had I been a few minutes later you would have died." She let her hand linger on top of his , before putting her mask of smile back on,"I guess I will go wash these , and bring out desert." Regina stated as she stood up. She leaned over reaching for his plate and then her, left the room quickly. Smooth Regina real smooth shook her head angry at herself.

David was listening to Regina’s story very seriously. So actually it was because of her that he was still alive. He realised that he never thanked her for that. After all she was the one who also found his wife, Kathryn.
But still it didn’t feel like Kathryn was his true love. It felt not real when she was sitting next to him, showing him pictures of the dog they used to have, which he completely didn’t remember. He couldn’t think of any moments he had with Kathryn before he came into a coma. It didn’t felt right. The only thing that felt right to him at the moment was seeing Mary Margaret.
When Regina placed her hand on his, he thought of Mary Margaret. How he enjoyed spending some time with her, and just talk. It was like she remembered him of someone, but who?
His mind was still blurry after he got out of his coma, but one thing was for sure, and that’s he didn’t belong with Kathryn.
David smiled at Regina when she told him the story, and just let his hand rest on the table with hers holding his. When she stood up to wash up the plates he thought it would be good to help her with that. After all she made dinner for him, and saved his life, it was the least he could do.
He stood up as well “You know what, I will help you with that, it’s the least I can do after this fabulous dinner” he said with a smile before he followed Regina to the kitchen. “If you tell me where I can find a kitchen towel, I will dry them and put them away”

"Kitchen towels should be over there." Regina pointed over to the tiny bin at the end of the counter. "You don't have really David , your guest you should go relax." She smiled and shook her head, when he didn't leave ."Alight have it your way." She laughed.
They had gotten all the dish's done and threw the desert in the oven , were just talking and shooting the breeze."David, how are things between you and Kathrine? You still not remember anything?" Regina asked nonchalantly, she needed to know how to keep strong Mary and his bond was becoming.

David was leaning against the kitchen counter after he flipped the kitchen towel over his shoulder and crossed his arms in front of him. When Regina mentioned Kathryn, he didn’t know how to answer it immediately. That was a damn good question, how indeed were things between him and Kathryn? He frowned his eyebrows and sighed. “Well, things can always go better to be honest. I thought I would remember things about us two when I would be home again, but, the longer I think about it, the more I realise that something isn’t feeling right.” He rubbed the back of his head with one hand. “She keeps showing me photos of places where we’ve been, and photos about our dog which I seemed to like very much.”
“But I don’t want to disappoint Kathryn, I really do try to remember something, but it’s just….. not working”

Regina did her best not to roll her eyes"Maybe your trying to hard." She leaned in to rub his shoulder, "You know when I'm trying to memorize something to hard , the info just doesn't stay. Just give it time David , you never know something might click." She scooted closer left her hand on his shoulder."I can see why, she is fighting for you. Your a good man David."
Regina licked her bottom lip and bit it lightly. "Definitely can see the appeal." She leaned and gave him a light kiss on the mouth .

Before David knew, Regina was kissing him. He pulled back the moment her lips touched his for a few seconds. “I…erm… we better not do this, madame Mayor” he took her hand away from his shoulder and put took one step back, to prefend her for trying again. “This isn’t a good idea” He didn’t think about how Kathryn would react to this, but he thought about how Mary Margaret would react to it. The whole situation was getting much too complicated right now.
