FROM BEGINNING TO END
(pre curse)
After years of trying, the King and Queen of Corona were finally blessed with a possible heir to the throne, and even then, it was a difficult pregnancy for the Queen. When she fell ill very close to her due date, the King sent out scouts and soldiers in order to retrieve anything that would cure his wife and save his child. Tales told of a flower that possessed indredible magical healing abilities. This flower, touched by a drop of sunlight, could cure and/or heal any injury/condition if you but sing the incantation. It was found, harvested, and fed to the Queen, who was cured almost instantly; she and her baby were saved. Princess Rapunzel was the first child of the King and Queen, a happy and healthy baby with beautiful golden locks. However, the royal family didn’t get the chance to spend time with each other. Her kidnapper, Mother Gothel, was a vain old woman who, beforehand, hoarded the healing powers of the magic flower to herself in order to stay young and healthy. The evil woman sought out Rapunzel in order to reclaim the abilities of the sun-touched flower that was now found in the young princess’ hair. Attempting to cut her hair in order to replace her flower, she found that if her hair was cut, the golden hair would turn brown and the magic would not work. Desperate to not be parted from her youth, she kidnapped baby Rapunzel in the night and was never seen again.
Nearly eighteen years later, Rapunzel, oblivious to her kidnapping and true origins, and Mother Gothel lived in a high tower far away from the kingdom of Corona. She was strictly forbidden from leaving the tower on any circumstance, leaving Gothel to go out by herself in order to fetch things they needed to live (food, etc.). As far as Rapunzel knew, there was no entrance or exit to the tower and the only way in or out was by throwing her extremely long hair out of the lone window of the tower and using it as a pulley. Now and then, Gothel would have Rapunzel sit in front of her as she took a brush to her hair and sing the healing song. After eighteen years of doing the same thing every day, Rapunzel grew weary of the tower she called home and longed to go outside, despite her mother telling her stories of monsters, men with pointy teeth, and ruffians who would undoubtedly hurt her. She wanted oh so desperately to see the “floating lights” that strangely only appeared on her birthday, to see them up close. But once again, Mother Gothel forbids her from leaving and the discussion is ended, but not without Rapunzel tricking Gothel into leaving her alone for a few days.
That was when Flynn Rider appeared, stumbling into her tower and hiding from royal guards having stolen the crown. Not used to having strangers, or anybody really, entering her tower, she took defensive positions and tied Rider to a chair using her incredibly long hair (seriously, it was everywhere). Noticing that the crown was precious to him, she used it to her advantage and as blackmail in order to make him guide her to the floating lights and back to her tower safely. They embark on their journey, accompanied by her friend chameleon Pascal, and adventure to the kingdom of Corona. However, upon stumbling into the path of a riderless palace horse, Mother Gothel realizes that she has been duped and sets after Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
Rapunzel and Flynn, now known as Eugene, arrive at Corona just in time for her to celebrate her birthday and see the floating lights up close, and release two lantern of their own. Following soon after, Eugene is ambushed by the Stabbington Brothers (former partners-in-crime) and attempt to kidnap Rapunzel to make money off her hair’s abilities. Before they get the chance, Mother Gothel takes them by surprise and knocks them unconscious, taking a disheartened Rapunzel back home to their tower. She looks back upon the memories she has with Rider on their adventures, and is suddenly hit by a rush of memories of her past, including her true origin as the Princess of Corona. Rapunzel rebels against Gothel but she refuses and goes to extreme measures, binding and gagging her and hiding her away. When Eugene escapes the castle and goes to save Rapunzel, he is stabbed deep into his stomach and left to die. Desperate to see him live, Rapunzel bargains that if Gothel allowed her to save him, she would go away willingly and never fight against her again. Gothel lets her guard down and lets her do what she wants, eager to have her Rapunzel. Before Rapunzel gets the chance to heal him, Eugene cuts her hair short, causing it to turn dark brown and lose its magic, resulting on Mother Gothel’s death. For a moment, Eugene dies but Rapunzel’s tears still have the flower’s magic and heals his injuries, perhaps for the last time. He brings Rapunzel back to the castle, where she is reunited with her parents after eighteen long years.
(duing curse)
Rachel Corona, having no relation to the creators of the beer, is a recently graduated high school student who works at Storybrooke’s own hair salon as a stylist, as you can imagine. Despite being a hair stylist, Rachel likes keeping her hair long and untied, being slightly unkempt; her customers tease her (in a friendly way) sometimes for it. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Corona stay at home and are unemployed by choice. Her routine is the same, going to work and spending time with her parents, friends (occasionally), and pets (although she doesn’t count them as pets). Desptie it being a small town, Rachel doesn’t have very many friends and finds sanctuary in her chameleon Pascal and her horse Maximus. The friends she does have, however, don’t understand why she isn’t friends with the entire community; she’s friendly, smart, kind, generous, all the good things anyone would want in a friend, but Rachel, being in a small town for as long as she can remember, is afraid of the big world out there.wow you've been through hell haven't you?
HERES YOUR CHANCE AT FREEDOM
(This is from a hospital roleplay. Don’t laugh at me. xD)
Elsa hummed happily as she skipped in through the automatic sliding doors of the Hospital, a red Twizzler trapped in between her teeth. As she skipped, her distinctive blue hair bounced around her shoulders and her red jacket flowed behind her slightly. The grey moccasin bag slung over her right shoulder gently hit her left hip, the contents of it shuffling around in the bag. A few simple makeup tools, keys, her ID, a tiny Batman themed money pouch, an iPod, an iPhone, and various candy items, especially Twizzlers, were all packed in there. The bluenette passed the front desk, waving excitedly at the nurses and other employees stationed there and giving out multiple 'Hi! How are you?'s to each of them. They waved back and gave their responses, her joyful energy giving them a tiny aura boost.
Elsa had only stopped skipping when she reached the employee ladies locker room, making her way to her respective row and unlocking the padlock. She removed the lock and opened her locker, taking off her bag and hanging it on one of the hooks. Her locker was pretty empty besides a mirror magnetized to the back of the locker door, 'emergency' candy, a magnetic dry-erase board, her scrubs, her extra scrubs, a set of hair ties, and a small brush. Reaching into her bag, she took out the Twizzlers and placed them on her locker shelf, opening facing out, taking another one and trapping it in between her teeth again as she shimmied off her red jacket, hanging it on another hook. Elsa sat down on the wooden bench and bent forward to take off her brown combat boots. She refused to undo the laces, so she struggled for a bit; her leg was in midair and she tried to pry the boot off her foot, which meant she was wiggling a lot.
She cackled excitedly in success as she finally got them off, fist pumping with both arms. She undid her jeans and stripped off her top also fighting to take them off. Standing alone in her underwear, she looked into a full body mirror from the opposite side of the locker room and waggled her eyebrows at herself, blowing at kiss at her reflection, and made a series of faces that could either be counted as creepy or over-dramatically but failed seductive face.
Elsa finally put her light blue scrubs on and ate her final Twizzler, shoving everything into her locker and taking out a hair tie before locking it. She tightened the laces on her white leather Converse, which she easily got away with wearing, and exited the locker room. Humming again, she tied her blue hair into a high ponytail at the crown of her head, her bangs still covering her forehead, and the end of it reaching the middle of her shoulder blades. She started to mildly skip again, making her way to the first patient she always sees first: Mrs. Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers was a kind elderly woman whose husband passed away a few years earlier. She suffered from Alzheimer's, which saddened Elsa. It meant that no matter how much time they spent together, Mrs. Roger's wouldn't remember her the next day. Mrs. Rogers was the first actual friend she had made in quite a long time. After Joshua had died, Elsa swore to herself to limit an minimize friendships and any type of relationship with anyone, but Mrs. Rogers has weaseled herself into Elsa's heart. Everyday would be the same for them: introductions, reminding her patient of who she was, checking her vitals, then talking about anything and everything. One thing that Mrs. Rogers would always ask was if she had a boyfriend, to which Elsa always said no. Mrs. Rogers was disappointed every time
She stopped skipping and approached Mrs. Roger's, who was asleep right now, and picked up the file on the table suspended in front of her she always left for her. It was titled 'READ ME, I'M IMPORTANT' and contained information like the name Mrs. Rogers liked to go by ('granny'), her favourite food, her least favourite food, her favourite colours, pictures of her family with their names, and a short description of who she was and why she was in the hospital. Elsa thought it would be nice to put some of her own information in there, too, so she wouldn't be too much of a stranger. She put things like a picture of herself and Mrs. Rogers; it was Mrs. Rogers in a wheelchair and Elsa kneeling beside her, gently hugging her around the shoulders and giving her a kiss on the cheek. She smiled fondly at the memory. The papers were shuffled in there and out of it's usual order, so Elsa inferred that she had read it.
Elsa set down the table and pushed it back to the side so it wasn't in front of Mrs. Rogers' sleeping form, leaving the file on it again. She turned on her serious business mode and went to do her nursey business, checking Mrs. Rogers' pulse, respiration, oxygen saturation, and temperature. She fixed her blanket, and smiled a bit. Elsa eyed the book that sat in Mrs. Rogers' lap, The Return of Sherlock Holmes. She giggled and took it, opening it to the doggy-eared page, deciding to read to her favourite patient.
