| I'm coming home to breathe again. To start again. I'm coming home from all the places I have been. With nothing, but, a voice within. That calls me. Calls me home.

As Neal drifted off to sleep, he saw images flashing through his head of his old life. That moment over that portal, followed by the workhouses and Neverland. Feeling the warmth from the heater, he felt his insides warming up slightly. Visions of his 14, 15, 16 and even 17 year old self came through his mind, as the car continued to move, being driven to a brand new foster home. Not knowing how long it would be until he did it all over again.
Neal stirred slightly as he felt the car stop, but, stayed asleep. He had had a better life in his dreams then he'd had in real life for most of it. His head drooped slightly as it ended up landing on his shoulder, drool dropping onto his shoulder. Letting out a soft groan, he felt Mary Margaret shaking his shoulder to wake him up. Neal's eyes opened slightly as he looked in front of him in the car “What, am I moving again?” Neal asked, in slight confusion, before coming fully back into the present.
Blinking, as his eyes adjusted to the light again, he remembered where he actually was. “Oh right.” Neal said, before adjusting the blanket around him and just sitting in front of the heater. Neal's face changed into a slight smile as he heard another voice coming from next to Mary Margaret, a voice he loved hearing. "Emma" Neal said softly, as the smile stayed on his face, as his eyes started to droop shut again.

Smiling at her daughter , this was a good moment between two people. True love can defied anything even death Neal coming back is prof of that. Emma come here please bending down to make it easier for Neal to see her not yet but here in a few minutes. bring her glance toward Emma nothing is the matter just a very happy surprise waving a hand to bring the blonde closer. to her and the now passed back Neal, hoping Emma would be ecstatic for this reunion. the rain had stopped grey cloud began to roll away in the sky letting bright blue skies shine underneath it. today was just the beginning of many more happy moments Snow just knew it deep within her heart. The frown that was formed on her forehead stayed when she curiously walked closer to her mother and the car. It was then that Emma saw the surprise where Mary Margaret was talking about. Neal?.... Her eyes widened, reflecting the emotions that came upon the surface when she saw Neal at one of the seats of the car. Neal, who’d died in her arms and got buried and missed by everyone. Neal, who’s grave was new upon the graveyard of Storybrooke. This couldn’t be real. This was a trick. A horrible trick that was caused by magic coming from Zelena. There was no other way. Emma’s hand quickly reached towards the handle of her gun, pulling it out and pointing it in Neal’s direction. “Who are you? I know this is a trick. Get out of the car!” Emma raised her voice while her suspicion had reached the highest level. “Get out!” she now yelled as both her hands wrapped themselves around the handle of the gun while she tried not to blink too much with her eyes in case whoever this person truly was would make it for a run. “Mary Margaret, get away from him” Emma yelled it out to where it sound as an order. She wanted her to be out of the way if it would be necessary to really fire the gun. Neal CassidySnow White/Mary Margaret

Neal smiled softly as he heard Emma's voice, before feeling his eyes drooping again. He wasn't sure how Emma would react to seeing him back here in the flesh. Neal knew deep down, he may take it differently then Mary Margaret did. In fact, he was worried she wouldn't like it at all. Neal had missed her, and had been forced to say goodbye to her. Hopefully, she had missed him too. Hearing Emma get closer to the car, he felt his eyes starting to open again.
As they did, he saw a gun being pointed at him by Emma, and heard her order to get out of the car. "It's me Neal. It's not a trick." He said, even though he knew it was slightly hopeless at this point. Neal heard her say it again, and he loosened the seatbelt before exiting the car and looking up at her "Ok, ok. I'm out of the car." Neal looked at her, his head tilted slightly. She was taking it better then he thought she would. Turning his gaze between Mary Margaret and Emma, "It's ok Emma. I'm not going to do anything" Neal said, even though he knew it was hopeless at this point.

Gasping out when Emma pulled her gun out, moving to stand between Neal and the gun. No , no Emma we don't shoot ex dead lovers. she spoken firmly toward her daughter. This had just gotten extremely awkward quickly. Emma I found Neal in the woods this is Henry's father please lets lower the firearms frowning placing a hand on the sheriff's forearms trying to low the arms down. Neal has been through a lot so has you and so has Henry. Don't denied your son the right to have his father Emma. wanting to defuse this before it became worse. Turning her head to Neal you need to tell her something that only you two would know. pleading with the man at this point if he didn't want to be shot or spend a night in jail then he booty gear.

“You still didn’t answer my question, who are you?” Emma spoke through gritted teeth. This was one big trick, one that was even able to convince her own mother that it was alright and that it was truly Neal standing next to her right now. “You can’t be Neal, he died. He died more than a week ago. So whoever you are, you definitely got the complete wrong information on who you had to turn into.” Emma’s eyes were narrowed, her hands still around the handle of her gun, one finger onto the trigger in case she had to act quickly. “Mom, do as I told you and step away from him. Don’t you see that this is just impossible. That isn’t Neal” It was then that Mary Margaret placed her hands onto Emma’s arms and tried to lower them down so the end of the gun wasn’t pointing at Neal’s chest anymore. What the hell was going on? This seemed to be one big nightmare that Emma hoped to forget as soon as possible. “Okay, fine, tell me something that only Neal would know about me. But I warn you, if you do have it wrong I’m not going to hesitate to use my gun. Cause I’m all over this crazy magic. If you aren’t going to be able to tell me something, you have to drop down that horrible magic of yours and show me your true self. I want to see who I’m truly dealing with instead of a reflection of the dead father of my son.”Neal CassidySnow White/Mary Margaret

“I told you who I am” Neal said, knowing there wasn't really much he could say more then that at this point. He hadn't meant to cause any trouble, and he hadn't even meant to come back here. Neal was just glad that Mary Margaret had believed it was really him. Now he had to convince the woman he loved that it was really him.
“I can be Neal. I promise I am.” Neal was trying anything right now to avoid being shot by Emma, but, he wasn't lying to her. It really was him. “I know I died. I don't understand it either.” Neal said, glancing between Mary Margaret and Emma.
Neal focused his attention back on Emma, as she told him to say something only he'd know. Letting out a soft sigh, Neal looked at her and sighed before speaking again. “I know you're all over this magic. I witnessed it when you seperated me and my father remember. But, you don't have to worry. I do have one story I could tell.” Neal said, before smiling softly and beginning to say his story. “When we first met you stole my already stolen car. You really didn't like me all that much at first, and why would you have? You thought I owned the car and didn't want to get arrested. Although, after I saved you, or rather both of us from the cop. You warmed up to me more and agreed to let me buy you that drink that I asked you on while I was lightening the mood with the tension. I took you to an old abandoned carnival, and helped you in the swings. Trying on your glove was hard though, because your hands are a lot smaller then mine. Anyway, it was here that I told you about what happened with me and my father. Well, the shortened version anyway. I then told you, and reminded myself of what home is. Then we just sat in those swings and looked at each other.” Neal finished and then glanced at Emma, waiting for her reaction.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips when Emma lowered her gun. Yes this situation was crazy and confusing but hopefully this all would be taken cared of with Neal's story. Moving a side while he spoke it was touching rendition of how they met especially since this was new to hear. Emma had kept much about her time with Neal a secret . So to finally learn something was something the mother relished .
Licking her lips see Emma that was only something that you two would know yes? So why don't we put the gun up honey nothing bad is going to happen . smiling staying calm during frantic time.

Emma listened to every word Neal was saying. Every word of their moments in their past. The moment they met and the moment she started to warm up to him more. When he mentioned the carrousel and the talk they had on there, she just knew that all of this was not a dream. Emma had never told anyone about any of this, not even to her parents or Henry. The only person who could know these moments was indeed Neal. “Then we just sat in those swings and looked at each other.”….. “and we fell in love” Emma said in a whisper, finishing the sentence that Neal had started and seemed to be avoiding to end. The blonde let go of the handle of the gun. Neal had proven that he was telling the truth from the beginning. This was really Neal who stood in front of her, the father of Henry and the best friend she had. For the first time Emma didn’t hesitate to move forward and wrap her arms around him. Holding him close, placing her chin onto his shoulder, her eyes wide open. She couldn’t believe that he was back. That he was breathing and smiling and talking and everything…. “Neal, I’m so sorry, I just wanted to make sure that….” Gently she let go of him so she could lock her eyes with his. “…are you… okay?”Neal CassidySnow White/Mary Margaret

Neal glanced to Mary Margaret as she spoke first, before nodding softly and turning back to face Emma. He could sense by that look on her face that she now believed him, who he really was. A soft smile grew on his face as Emma finished the sentence "Yeah, we fell in love." Neal said, before lowering his head.
Falling in love with Emma was the best thing he'd ever done, and, he would never forget the moment when they did. Looking back up, Neal saw that Emma had finally lowered her gun that he was aiming at him. He kept his hands by his side, and a smile grew on his face as Emma hugged him. Neal wrapped his own arms around her, and hugged her back. Stroking her hair gently, as he felt her chin resting on his shoulder.
"It's alright, I get it. You were in shock" Neal said, smiling softly and letting go of Emma as she pulled back to look at him. "Yeah, I'm ok for the most part. I just feel a bit light-headed, but, I'm sure that'll go away in time." Neal looked between Emma and Mary Margaret before reacting to the dizziness coming to his head again.
