The key that fell from beneath her mattress had been a god send. Mary looked about the station should she do this? What would it say about her innocence? Wiggling fingers moved the skull key, it could mean that the school teacher would spend the rest of life behind bars. But right now it looked like she would any how, biting her bottom lip briskly moving to the cell door sliding the key into the lock. The familiar clicking followed by the bars swinging forward. Two hours tops Mary would go into the woods . Find proof that Kathryn wasn't killed by her and then just maybe find the real killer. Pocketing the key in her jeans rushing toward the coat rack grabbing the periwinkle colored coat down . Running out the back door throwing the jacket on. Few minutes later the school teacher strolled through forest at leisurely pace . It was a pretty night the moon shined high in the sky. The rain was minimal that was a good thing ment less fog, only now did she wish that she thought about taking a flashlight. A crunch of leaves made the petite woman halt in her steps. Turning about starting into the dark forest. hello ? nothing no sound, no answer back no more movements. Eerie silence goosebumps from the lack of anything. It could have been an animal. Mary tried to reassure herself or it could be a crazy masked murder . Stop it Mary Margaret Blanchard there are no masked murders roaming the woods or Storybrooke. Rustling in the bushes little closer to her now, grimacing starting to walk faster. Space between her and what ever is stalking her. It wasn't till she heard footsteps that Mary took off in sprint . @hatter

This was going to give Jefferson absolutely no pleasure. This was in no way a task he would enjoy. Jefferson might have been a magical thief, the Dark One’s messenger; but, he’d never dealt in the trade of human trafficking. Abduction was brand new territory for him. And he wasn’t looking forward to this sort of work expansion. But it had to be done. Snow White was one of the very few people he could consider a friend. He still wasn’t certain as to whether or not she viewed him the same way. He’d never had the nerve to ask. It wasn’t his place. He was but an ex-hatter. She might have been an ex-princess for a time; but, she still had noble roots. And practically everyone was above hatter status. Even bandit status had them beat. There was prestige and money with that profession at least. It wasn’t like he could ask this Snow how she felt about him even if he wanted to. Like the rest, she was cursed. Well...Jefferson was cursed too. But his curse was different. He had dual memories, two lives forever at odds, double the pain, double the suffering. How they grated. It was so difficult to determine which if any of those realities were real. But today was a better day. His head was clear. At least he felt it was. And it had to be! Everything had to be perfect! He needed to save Snow White! And then using Snow as bait, he needed to get Emma to make a magical hat so he could take Grace home and finally be a family with her again. He’d watched her for 28 years now, with another family, happy...How his heart ached when he saw her laughing at something the neighbors said, eating dinner with them. They could touch her...They could hug her and tuck her into bed...Do everything he couldn’t! Watching Grace as Paige, as a girl with no memories of him, it was torture! He couldn’t stand another day of it! He’d already been separated for so long! Mind in ruins, the one thing of his old life he’d managed to hold onto in Wonderland was Grace. He always knew he had to make another portal, get a hat to work so he could get back to her! She was the one thing his crumbling sanity clung to. Grace. His Grace. There could be no confusion today. Snow didn’t know the truth. Grace didn’t either. No one but Regina, Emma’s Henry, and now Rumple knew. So it was all up to him to fix things, give himself a happy ending and make sure Snow was alright. Because if she crossed that line something terrible would happen to her, something that couldn’t be undone. He couldn’t allow for that not after she’d saved his baby girl. And afterwards she’d come to visit for tea, many times. Thanks to Snow, Grace had something sort of resembling a mother figure. She couldn’t visit all that much but still, their tea times were a welcome change. And Grace loved her. Jefferson would never forget all Snow had done for both of them. Snow had been good to the hatter when she had no reason to be. She had enough to worry about being hunted by the queen. And still she stopped to rescue the two of them, his baby girl, and him. And when the elite guard had chased them, she hadn’t left them for dead even though the two of them could only slow her down. Jefferson had known nothing about covering his trail or fighting. And with Grace crying...He still couldn’t understand why Snow had stood by them. But she had. Grace was the single good thing in his life. Snow had saved Jefferson’s heart, his soul if someone as twisted and jaded as him possessed such a thing when she rescued the sweet, innocent baby. Jefferson had tried his hardest to look after her, to protect her, to raise her well. And he’d failed! Against his better judgement, he’d followed Regina to Wonderland, partly because he wished to give Grace everything she needed and partly because he’d just missed Regina and his old life. He’d given up being a portal jumper after Ly’s death. Grace had lost her mother because of his work. He couldn’t let her lose a father and become an orphan. Such a fate was too awful. He knew how the world treated people with no family or connections. He couldn’t let that happen to his child! But Regina had talked him into one last adventure because he did still suffer from wanderlust deep down. And he wanted to know how Regina was doing. Finally, she’d come to see him. And he’d felt bad he couldn’t afford nice things for Grace. The good toys she had were all brought by Snow. The rest Jefferson had to make himself since he was too poor to buy her anything from the toy cart. But he knew they weren't the same, not as good looking or soft. One last journey...He’d be back in time for tea and then Grace would have everything she could ever want. He should have listened to his instincts and stayed with her. You didn’t abandon family. He should have listened to Grace. “All I need is you, Papa.” Why?! Why couldn’t he believe her?! But he’d always been insecure, worried he wasn’t a good enough father, that he couldn’t properly care for her. And the world was harsher than Grace realized. He’d tried to shield her from the world’s many cruelties. But if they didn’t have money, there’d be no dowry. She’d never have the security of marriage. She’d suffer. She was just too young to realize it. Or so he told himself. But in the end both his instincts and his little girl had been right. If he’d stayed, he could have been with her like a proper father. But he’d left and never come back! She must hate him! The only thing worse than her hating him was her not remembering him at all! And she didn’t! He had to fix that! He had to make them a family again! Jefferson really needed to calm down. There was no room for slip ups here. If he couldn’t bring Snow back with him...He didn’t even want to think about the consequences. And...Even as an ignorant teacher, she was far more athletic than the ex-hatter suffering from mercury poisoning. Being literally trapped in his home for the past 28 years had done little to improve his condition. It had exacerbated things greatly given the stress and the trauma. And it wasn’t like he could get treatment being stuck inside the mansion. And he’d been afraid of hospitals anyways, fearing that he’d be deemed insane and sent straight down to the psyche ward if he ever set foot in one. No! He was not being trapped there! He’d witnessed the horrors of patient treatment through his telescope. Even if people were crazy, they wouldn’t get any better there. Right then so...Get it together. The plan was simple enough. He just had to take her by surprise. Jefferson was hiding in the woods, waiting for her. He knew she’d come this way. (Mary Margarete might not remember her time as a bandit but people's instincts seemed to linger. Snow was most comfortable in the woods. She'd come this way without a doubt.) Now if he could just clamp this cloth over her mouth and hold on long enough for the drugs to take effect...He’d be golden. But he was worried things wouldn’t go so smoothly. She’d likely struggle at least a little bit. If she broke away...Things would get messy. Finally Snow came into sight. Now was his chance. He cursed his luck as leaves crunched underneath his feet. Moving silently in a forest was...difficult. And having only been able to leave his mansion recently...He wasn't familiar with the area. Seeing through a telescope wasn't the same as really knowing, not where each and every leaf and branch rested. And unfortunately for him, having just broken out of jail, Snow was on high alert. Snow froze, then turned around and called out. Jefferson stood perfectly still, holding his breath. When he thought she’d dismissed the noise as an animal he leapt forward and grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth with a cloth damp with chloroform. Snow White/Mary Margaret

Mary wanted to scream out but something was covering her mouth and nose. Hands reached up trying to pull away the item and the hand holding it to her face. Someone pressed into her back, oh god her mind screamed. Was this the person who took Kathryn? Was it now Mary's turn to died? Wiggling kicking pulling hard on the arm if she didn't get away ... No one would ever find her.
The more she struggled the more the fumes gathered in her lungs. Blinking lazily why was her reflexes slowing down? No no please body don't do this fight ! Fight for your life! But it was of little good, leaning back in to her abductor . Legs felt as if they were jello and began to give out on the petite school teacher.
Emma flashed in her mind she would never get to say goodbye. Then David crap she didn't want to think about him but his smiling handsome face made appearance as well. Arms were so heavy slipping away from her attackers forearm and hand to fall down loosely by her sides. The forest swirled blurring ,everyone she cared about she would never see again or tell them how much she loved them.
Finally Mary Margaret head collapsed on to the kidnappers shoulder. She was loosing the battle please don't please don't kill me that what she wanted to cry out but a mumbled groan instead rumbled out. Eyes lids fluttered closed ... darkness was all she could see now .

She was struggling! She was struggling! But of course she was! It wasn’t like that was unexpected. That was a natural response to a stranger popping out of nowhere and clamping a rag over their mouths. But...Jefferson was very concerned with his athletics being greatly impaired thanks to the Mercury Poisoning and spending the past 28 years trapped in his house. And..Snow White wasn’t dead. She was trapped somewhere inside Mary Margaret. But in a stressful, potentially life threatening situation like this...Something might burst to the surface! And Jefferson had never been a match for bandit Snow. She was the one who’d saved him and his little girl all those years ago. He could do this! He could! Jefferson had to do this for both Snow and Grace! Snow had saved more than Jefferson’s life. She’d protected his heart, his happiness, his baby girl. He couldn’t let her kill herself not when he had the power to do something. And he had to lure Emma back to his home so she could make a magic hat; and, he take Grace back with him to the Enchanted Forest so they could be a family again. Grace was the only good thing in his life. She gave his existence purpose. Without his daughter...He was just another disposable ex-Hatter. He had to get her back! He’d been watching her for so long! It was enough to drive any father insane, seeing, never being able to interact. She didn’t even know her own name! Grace had no idea she was his, his little girl! But everything would fall apart, come crashing down right around his ears if he couldn’t hold on long enough for the chloroform to do its work. Snow flailed for a bit; but, finally, after what felt like an eternity her legs gave out and she slumped in his arms, unconscious. Alright...So part one had...He wasn’t sure he was willing to say it had gone smoothly. But he’d accomplished it with none the wiser which was the important thing. Now..He just had to worry about dragging her back to his home without anyone noticing. That stealth part wouldn’t be tricky. Almost none came into these woods and certainly not at this hour. As for his home, it was fairly isolated. He should be fine. Now the physical labor...That would be more taxing. But for Snow and Grace, he’d do it without complaint! He was completely out of breath, huffing and puffing by the time he’d hauled her to his doorstep. Exhausted, he fumbled for his keys, blasted tremor making everything one thousand times more complicated. Of course that was to be expected. Abduction was an extremely stressful activity or at least he would assume it was. This was his first time; and, he certainly wasn’t relishing the challenge. It didn’t help that Snow was something like a friend. He was ridiculously scared of hurting her. Rationally, he knew she should be fine. But hatters bred paranoia because of the horrendous conditions they’d been forced to work in for years and years; and, the chemicals they encountered, warping and twisting the mind only added fuel to the fire. So while he pulled and yanked on her limp form as gently as he could, his mind had raced to everything that could possibly go wrong. What if he messed up the dosage?! What if she had some sort of horrific allergic reaction to the chloroform?! These thoughts were detrimental and non-productive, threatening to paralyze him. But all the same he was incapable of pushing them aside during that long trek back to his home with the unconscious passenger in tow. Finally the door creaked open; and, he tugged Snow inside before hurriedly closing the door before any could see. He dragged Snow to the couch and tenderly set her down, taking a much needed and well deserved break. The drugs shouldn’t be wearing off this soon. He’d have a moment to collect himself, bolster some strength before moving her to her temporary room. He’d picked what he hoped would be a comfortable chair for her. Although he was very much aware there was only so comfortable he could make her given the circumstances. There were no two ways about it. She’d have to be restrained with both ropes and a gag. She’d scream otherwise and someone might hear her. That wouldn’t do for either of them. She’d get in trouble for breaking out of jail. He’d be arrested for abducting her. The last place Jefferson wanted to be was a cell. He’d spent too much time in one in Wonderland. He wasn’t going back! Not ever! A little later Jefferson picked Snow up, princess style and carried her to her temporary quarters, delicately setting her on the chair and tying her up. He knew he couldn’t have the ropes hang too lose. Otherwise he’d risk escape. But he was careful that they weren’t so tight her circulation was cut off. He knew she’d be scared. He didn’t want her to be in pain too. Although the chloroform would likely make her groggy. And it might give her a headache. He’d slipped in the gag because he was willing to bet her immediate response would be to scream when she saw she was bound in some strange home. Now...Time to wait. He didn’t want her to be alone when she woke. He wished to explain even if she wouldn’t believe him. He at least wanted her to know he had no intention of hurting her. Slowly she came to, blinking her eyes open. “Don’t be frightened. I’m not going to hurt you.” He doubted that would be much comfort especially not with the gun he was holding. “I want to talk. But if I take out the gag you have to promise not to scream.” He carelessly motioned to the gun in his right hand. “If you do things will get messy.” There were no bullets in the gun. It was loaded with blanks. He didn’t want to risk it going off by accident if a tremor got the best of him. But Snow had no idea. Hopefully the gun would keep her from shrieking. "Now, do you promise not to scream?" he asked, tone surprisingly gentle. "Nod your head yes if you do." He thought the extra instructions might prove helpful. Her mind was likely somewhat foggy after her ordeal. And robbed of the power of speech thanks to the gag, she might be uncertain of how to convey her wishes in a panicked state like this.
