David listened to what his wife was saying, while he had wrapped his hands around the cold iron bars of the solid cage. He embraced them until his wounded knuckles turned white. He wanted to hold his Snow. He needed to hold her knowing it would be for the last time. But the cold bars and chains around his wrist doomed him on watching her die, alone…
His eyelids trembled just like his lips did when tears kept rolling down his cheeks and the words of his wife echoed into his head. A promise…. The promise you made to each other before you would be separated from each other forever. A promise which meant the acceptance of death.
Charming leaned his forehead against the cold iron bars while he kept embracing them, trying to keep looking at his beloved wife through the blurred sight of his eyes. “what….what do I need to promise you?” a question which appeared in a whisper, a question which was too hard to ask out loud. David let his knees shuffle over the ground until they hit the bars of the cage as well. This was the closest he could get to his Snow. “Snow I….I don’t want to live without you. I’m not…” he needed to hold in his desperate cries, resolving in salt tears. “…I’m not letting you die.”

Swallowing back a cough Snow's wound on her stomach began to feel numb and the blood was starting to slow down. Taking a deep breath , she cralwed toward the bars . Leaning against them just to be this close to David was comforting to her. Keeping her hand pressed against the hole to continued to stop the bleeding.
the promise I want you to make is to love again if I died. Please for me David. seeing his reactions and hurt the tears streaks on his cheeks made her heart break she didnt want to leave him not now not never. you cant always save me Charming. But if i ever believed in anyone it was you. hearing the voice way down hallway. Charming , I know you will save us you always do. Snow gave him a weak smile , truly wishing to know what he was saying was truth that he would indeed save her that they wouldnt loose one another not after getting each other back. But no amount of time would be long enough with him with Emma and Henry. So should we plan for our escape?

The promise that Snow wanted him to make was a promise which would be the proof of accepting she was going to die. And that was exactly the thing that he didn’t want to accept. “I….” closing his eyes for a moment, giving himself the time to find the courage to say that promise out loud. “I promise that I will love again.” Opening his eyes he could see the desperate and tortured look on his wife’s face. A look he had hoped never to see.
All because of a king who felt himself threatened by a few people arriving in the Enchanted Forest he was going to lose his wife. He was going to lose her because of one single wooden arrow.
“I know that I will save you Snow, I will always save you, even now I will get you out of here. That’s a promise. And maybe it will be a hard thing to achieve, it will be a good thing if we would manage to hold each other right now. Maybe that would be the first step on getting out of here?”
If he wouldn’t be able to keep his promise to get out of here with his wife, then at least he would have had the chance to hold her when she let out her last breath.
Charming looked away from the desperate look in his wife’s eyes when he heard a voice coming near the dungeon. “If you would have a plan already, I will follow you with that.”

Leaning her forehead as the words slipped from David's lips. Snow knew he would keep his promise Charming always did. Smiling as a tear fell from her eye and dropped to the dark stone ground below. Off in the distance the petite princess could hear moaning of the people John had hurt. This anger her to the point of shaking no she would not die not here not today not when they finally would all be together to be a family. Gripping the bars tightly Snow lifted her head stare directly at her husband.
I know you will and we are going to take back our kingdom. I can not let this mad man hurt this place we call home any longer. rising up from the floor Snow quickly looked around for anything to be used to get out. His sunglasses a bright smile spread over her rose colour lips. David did they take your sunglasses? if he still had them she could pick the lock thank god for meeting Robin Hood she thought something good other then meeting her Charming came out of being a bandit. |

David frowned his eyebrows at the sudden changing of his wife’s emotions. This was it, this was the moment they needed to stand up and fight, to take back what was theirs and to show king John what it truly meant to be a hero or a king. With Snow getting on her feet in a determined way, he lifted his knees up from the cold dark ground too and stood up to give his wife the same determined gaze.
“My sunglasses? Why do you need them?” they didn’t took his sunglasses which were in the pocket inside his vest. He knew that they must be completely broken, but at least he knew that he still got them there. “They are inside the pocket of my vest, why?” David had no idea what was coming up in his wife’s mind at the moment. Was it the amount of blood that she already lost that made her think in such an unusual way or was it the Snow that he first met who was in front of him right now.
It seemed like some guards were arriving on the other side of the door which separated the rest of the kingdom from them. David lowered his voice, almost whispering when he heard a key going into the lock of the door. “Snow, what are you planning? Now would be a good time to tell”

and ruin the surprise Snow smiled cheekly at Charming placing her head between the bar letting her chin rest on one of them. Turning her slightly to the left she peaked down the hallway and then back to David. can you reach them in your vest pocket? god she hoped he could.
if you can throw them over and I can pick the lock to the cells. We are getting out of here. she wouldn't died here this would not be how she goes. She was damn going to get her happy ending even if took wiping out King John and men in the process.
by the way thank you Leaning against the bars now for more support the blood loss was making her light headed Snow had to shake it off. you never lose hope even when the world is against us. keeping a firm hand on the wound soon she would to be healed . Her behavior probably erratic but she need to hold on just a little longer. Holding her hand out did you reach them?

With a smile on his face he shook his head from left to right. Even if she was mortally wounded, she kept being truthful to her fighting self.
“I can at least try to reach it” he said while he brought his chest close to the iron bars, so that his bonded hands could have a bigger chance to reach his pocket. It seemed to be harder to do so as it looked and David started to think that this would be a lost cause. “okay, give me some time. I think I…” he kept trying to put a few fingers of his hand inside his vest and reach for the sunglasses. He could feel the legs of the sunglasses, he only needed a few more inches. He leaned that close to the iron bars now that he needed to keep himself steady on his feet not to fall over. “…. I got it!” he almost yelled it out in enthusiasm as he carefully pulled the sunglasses out of his pocket. “Okay, I’m going to throw it to you” he tried to sweep away the sunglasses as good as possible towards his wife who stood against the iron bars of her own cage. Hoping that it would be far enough for her to reach it. He heard the sunglasses hit the with sand covered ground before he looked up.
“There, I threw it. Do you have it?” he knelt down on his knees again, allowing himself to have a better view on what was going on.

Watching as the sunglasses flew threw the air, pushing her hands even further through the bars. Hissing in pain as one of the them digged into the wound, but the pain was worth it. The petite grabbed the metal frame of glasses.I've got them. she smiled from relief, pulling her arms back through the slits. Honey I will buy you a new pair snapping the legs off, she dropped the body of it on the stone ground. Taking the metal legs and placing them into the key hole. Snow twisted them , she poked her tongue out twisting it a little outside her mouth while doing this action. I almsot have it honey. then a click noise happen, The Princess sighed and pushed the iron bar door open. Briskly walking over to Charming cage she made quick work to his lock as well. Charming pushing the barred door open she ran to her husband . Ive missed you she stated as she gave him several pop kisses let me get your wrists and then we are leaving, okay. |

David watched his wife breaking his sunglasses, but at this moment all of that wasn’t important. Getting out of there was the goal, and it was a goal they were about to reach.
A click, he never had thought that the sound of a click could be giving so much adrenaline. David followed every movement his wife made with his eyes. She knew more about escaping than he thought.
he’d never thought that it was possible to escape out of a cage just by using sunglasses. He loved his wife even more now. This was the same kick ass Snow as he fell in love with. She still got it.
When she made it into his cage he already got on his feet again, and leaned forward, letting her give him as much pop kisses as she liked. The touch of her lips against his made him close his eyes for a little while. He still couldn’t believe that she was in his cage right now, kissing him. He’d never thought to be feeling that ever again. “I think that would be the most honorable thing to do” he said with a loving smile as she stopped giving him little pop kisses. He still couldn’t believe that they were truly escaping. David hold his hand close to each other which made it easier for Snow to open the lock of the chains. The sound of guards at the other side of the door was getting louder. It seemed that there were be standing a few already, waiting for the king to arrive at the entrance of the dungeon. “Snow I think you need to hurry now” he said with an on adrenaline based voice.
