The prince followed the brunette with his eyes as she put on her red hood to transform into a human again. “I have to say that it was a good idea of you to just show me, cause to be honest, I don’t think I would have believed you if you just told it.” He said with a smile.
“How long are you like that? Do people know about it?” He was very interested in Ruby her story, he never saw something like that before, and he found it fascinating in some sort of way. “So that’s why you are wearing that red hood all the time…, now I understand. Did your grandmother made it for you? Cause it must be someone who knows what you can do”
He sat down again, and wanted to know everything about Ruby her ‘special power’.

After Red turned back into a human, she was able to relax again. She curled herself into a ball, with her red hood wrapped tightly around her. She put her hands out in front of her, to warm them up next to the fire.
"It started when I was thirteen years old," She said as she looked up at Charming, who looked curious about her curse. "I remember because my grandmother gave me the red hood on my thirteenth birthday." She said as she smiled sheepishly. "But the curse itself was kept a secret from me, until really just recently, after I met Snow." Suddenly a memory of the mauled Peter, her would be boyfriend, popped up her mind and she shut her eyes for a few moments, trying to get rid of the image. It was a while before Red spoke another word.
"Sorry about that, I was just...thinking," Red told Charming, not really knowing another way to put it. "Actually as of right now, the only people who know about my curse are my grandmother, Snow, and you." She said.

“It must be hard for you that you had to find out you were being cursed” He stood up from where he was sitting and decided to take place next to Red. He saw the look on her face, and she seemed to be lost in her thoughts. “It’s okay, I already thought you were doing that” he gave her a friendly smile. “Can I ask you how you discovered you had this ability to change into a wolf?”

Red took a deep breath, as she was getting ready to answer Charming's question.
"Well, after Snow and I met each other and got to know one another a little bit more, she told me that Wolf's Time shouldn't force me to be away from my true love. Back then I would've had a boyfriend, if I didn't eat him." Red said, trying to make the best out of this. She didn't want to cry in front of Charming. This memory pained her for so long, and she hated talking about it. "It happened during one night in Wolf's Time. I thought Peter was the wolf, when really it was me. I didn't even realize what I've done until it was too late." Red choked back the tears that were beginning to form behind her eyes. Her heart ached for Peter, but she couldn't do anything about it. "And that's when Granny finally told me I was the wolf." Red said as she looked at Charming, her bottom lip quivering. She wished that this didn't have to hurt so much.

The prince could feel the pain that caused that memory to Red. He felt really sorry for her and put his arm around her shoulders in a comforting way “You didn’t know you were cursed Red, it’s not your fault, it’s the fault of the curse. If you had known it, you wouldn’t done all that to Peter. Don’t blame yourself, people who are under a curse are acting very horrible at some times” he looked at Red “Don’t worry Red, I know you are a good person, and I know you would never do such things willingly to someone. You don’t deserve all the pain this curse has cost you. You can control the wolf inside of you, I know you can, you just proved it to me, so please, don’t let this curse get you down okay?”

Even with Charming's kind words, Red could still feel her heavy heart sink even more. She sniffed away whatever tears there were, trying not to go into a total breakdown.
"I know. It's just, I really wish that I would've known. If I knew, then I would've been able to control the curse better, and Peter would be alive." She told Charming. She appreciated the kind gesture though. "But I guess everything is what it is, and I can't change anything no matter how badly I want to." She said as she looked up at Charming.

“Yes, life isn’t fair all the time….” He looked down as well “If live was fair, then I would still have my beloved Snow with me, and my mother wouldn’t be killed” He gave her a small smile to let her know that she wasn’t the only one who lost someone. “If you want I can help you with controlling the curse even better in the future?” He looked at the sky, which was getting brighter, since the sun was coming up slightly.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know that." Red said to Charming, after he confessed to her that his mother was killed. She bit her bottom lip. "Actually, my mother was killed to. But I was the one to do it." She told Charming, looking at him. "It was her life, or Snow's. She was attacking Snow, and I acted on instinct." Red said. The choice was hers though. She could watch her mother kill her best friend, or do something about it. She never meant to kill her. Red shifted her gaze over to the fire, which was slowly dying.

“I’m sorry to hear that too Red. You’ve been through a lot already in your life” he gave her a comforting pat on her shoulder. “live isn’t always that easy huh?” He looked up at the sky and saw that the first sunbeams were already showing their selves between the trees. “And don’t worry Red, your secret is safe with me” He gave her a poke in her side “come on, we need to get going, the sun is already shining a bit” He stood up and began to put out the fire, which was still burning. He looked at Red for a moment when he walked past her, on his way to his horse. “Do you want to sit in the front this time? Or don’t you like to take the lead?” he said while he chuckled and waited next to his horse for Red to come closer.

Red lowered her gaze to the ground, and bit her bottom lip. "Yeah, I guess I have." She said, her voice trailing off. She smiled up at Charming when he patted her on the shoulder. It was a nice gesture. "Thank you, Charming." She said. When he asked if she wanted to sit up front, Red shook her head.
"I'm fine with sitting in the back, really." She told Charming as she walked closer to the horse. Red waited until Charming got on, and she followed shortly after. "How much further do you think we have to go to get to Snow?" Red asked Charming. She was curious, and hoped that they wouldn't have to set up camp for a while.
