Annabelle knocked on the door to a business owned by the only man who could possibly bring her daggers back as they were. Not only was one broken at the hilt but the other looked like it could possibly be the same with the slightest of use, she sighed when there was no answer and stepped across the threshold uncertainly, hopefully Hephaestus did not think of this as a burglary. "Halo? Is anybody here?" she tried, various weapons and sculptures surrounded her, all of which brought a sense of admiration at how well done they were. She slipped the daggers back into her bag to look around unaware that the sign outside had shown that the place was closed. Her fingers slid across the sculptures as she smiled at their beauty, the gods really knew how to use their talents. The shop was huge with too many tools she didn't know the names of but it wasn't so huge she didn't see the owner stand tall behind her in the reflection of a rather large sculpture. She turned around with her hands held up in defense "Hi, I'm Annabelle" she told him holding out her hand, it seemed an appropriate gesture "I shouldn't have come in, I'm sorry" her voice was gentle and a smile rested upon her lips " but I was wondering if you could fix these, Ares really did a number on them" she quickly stepped past him and took her beloved weapons from the bag and held them in her palms. He seemed very calm, not at all what she was expecting but he seemed a good man with good values and high standards. He didn't come off as smug and proud as his siblings in town, and he seemed very formal and she felt really intimidated for a moment. Her eyes slipped towards the steel in her hands hoping that the miracles his hands could preform, as Artemis had told her was as true and that he'd be willing to help her. Hephaestus

Whispers had stirred in this town not only were his brothers and sisters back but also demidivine running about. The creak of the door had caused the god to wander out of his office. The feeling of a bloodline he thought to be long ago extinct. Furrowing his Sandy blonde brows Hephaestus watched from behind the sculptures she looked every bit like her grandfather.. Apollo . tan skin statuesque and bright sun light colored haired. Ducking in and out of the shadows once he made him self appear before her he regretted. Her hands blocking her face made Hephaestus think back to the time he was banished from Olympus. Running a hand over his face now wondering if the magic the fates had given him finally wore off. Standing his ground Hephaestus didn't limber off no fuss was given . the human walked by him only to place her bag down to dig for the items she desired to mend. When she pulled out two daggers correct one dagger and a hilt out of the bag. Taking the weapons in his board hands looked at he item and then at Annabelle Hope Evans darlin , what in the hell did you do these? Put them in the wood chipper ? Examining the items they were savable but it would take few hours . follow to my blacksmith area of my workshop limping his right leg was bone straight and would not bend. Thanks to hera's might throw as baby Hephaestus though fates had made handsome would never be able to fix the deformed leg that his mother rejection had caused. Thump scuff thump scuff the sound echoing in the workshop. His leg wasn't something he focused on anymore . the good people of Storybrooke didn't see him as freak just someone who had misstep in life greater plan. the smell of brimstone and leather melting metal sit over there if you please. pointing to the chair off in the corner . putting his apron on it would protect him from the fire and sparks why he bothered Hephaestus didn't know . his body covered in white healed scars now are you to tell me what happen so I know how I can repair these beauties ? looking down at the daggers only eying her once in while out of mild curiosity.

She happily followed after him, never once failing to admire everything he had accomplished with his talents "these are really good" she complimented setting herself down in the chair softly. For some odd reason she found a kind of peace in all the different smells and found herself taking a deep breath before relaxing into the rough leather backrest of the chair and folding her arms over her chest.
"I'm surprised the gossip hasn't gotten this far yet" gossip in a small town like this, it traveled faster than anything you can imagine and by then many people had already asked her about her confrontation with the god of war "Ares attacked me in the woods to prove a point to Dionysus" she chuckled remembering how odd it was that Dionysus was slowly convincing her to attend the wretched dinner after what had happened in order to avoid yet another attack from his brother "I held together better than they did" she pointed a slender finger to the daggers he held in his rough hands and a sad frown slipped onto her lips.
"I didn't know where else to go" she admitted softly "I've had them since I was a young girl and they've always kept me alive, I'd hate to see them ruined for nothing" but she straightened her shoulders and hid the sadness that tugged at her heart "besides I'll need them again soon I'm sure, I might have won this battle but the next one won't be as easy" the godly blood within her had granted her the strength to fight Ares and although she nearly died if Dionysus hadn't shown she had put up one hell of a fight. She was broken and beaten but so was he, if she recalled he was bloody and limping when the fight had quieted down and she couldn't help but find pride in her capabilities. She went up against the god of war and survives, she had the scar to prove it and unintentionally her fingers slipped over her abdomen.
"Artemis told me if there's one person who can fix them it'd be you" she added with a gentle smile, he looked a good man with a few battle scars but nothing close to the evil she'd seen within his brother that troubled night.

Looking at Annabelle with harden eyes but it was with respect that reflected within his stare. Anyone that stood up against Ares was aces in his book. Creating a fire ball in his head without thinking tossing it the pit. The daggers can and could be fixed . laying the metal into the pot above the fire he would make them a new melting would occur in few minutes. I don't get out much, I prefer to sen my time alone. partly true Hephaestus did it to avoid stares and pity so sticking to himself was easier then feeling as if he was nothing. I hope you cleaned his clocked rung it really well. smirking at the thought of Ares not only getting beaten by girl but throw salt on the wound of the prideful war god but to beaten by a demigoddess. Priceless , one the daggers were melted the blacksmith went to work. Pouring the liquid into the mold for the blades. Those would need to harden while he worked on the handles. Lifting two smalls molten balls of adamantine, pushing one off into the air he would work on each one alone . Molding the melt in to handle with dragon on the end shaping the scales of its neck down to the point where blade would meet he hilt. Doing the same to other not speaking while he worked . it wasn't that he was being rude it was just how he did things. Once the handles were done grabbing both piece jamming the art into a bucket of water from the wishing well. The steam coming from the bucket made the god smile the imagery made the blonde grin. I'll make sure you will have a way to defend yourself. If Ares attacked you to get Dio attention then you must be incredibly important to Dionysus . taking the handles out the dragons complete all except for one last detail sunstones he thought out loud . making to deep Carmel colored stones with flicks of gold embedded into it appeared where the dragons eyes laid. Proud of the out come of at least the handles. Hephaestus limped over to demigoddess holding them out to feel these out for me not done but this is start. daggers when finished

"That's too bad" she told him smiling, lifting her feet onto the chair and crossing them over one another, the whole shop's atmosphere felt genuinely warm and she liked it "it'd be nice to have the good gods at his dinner, in case he decides to kill everyone or eat us or whatever the hell he does to make himself feel better" she chuckled realizing how much she was overthinking the idea of Ares committing a mass murder at his own house. Deep down she knew something terrible was bound to happen but thought nothing of it.
"Last I saw him he was limping away bloody and beaten" the memory fresh inside her head "don't get me wrong, I wasn't in great shape either. Probably would've been worse if Dionysus hadn't come" she smiled at the thought of someone caring so much he'd risk himself for some girl he'd met a few days prior but it was a nice feeling. She lifted herself smoothly from the chair to step closer, it was interesting seeing him at work. Annabelle hadn't seen how weapons were made, ever, not even in the enchanted forest and she found it interesting.
"Either that or Ares is just incredibly homicidal. Probably both" her smile faltered as fascination gripped her attention to the beautiful set of handles, she took them gladly feeling the light steel within her palms. They were a perfect match for her and she loved them, a bright smile slipped onto her lips "they're a perfect start. You're as good as they say" she complimented holding them back to him, he probably still needed them.
"Hey what do I owe you for this?" she asked him with a soft shrug of her shoulders, this was a business after all. The fact that he didn't like Ares made her like him that much more. Maybe it was because both Dionysus and Artemis had suggested she go to him already making him a trustworthy god.

It wasn't to bad for Hephaestus he preferred to be alone meant less hassle less headache . smiling in approval this Annabelle had taste and at least she seemed smarter than the normal women he paraded about. Arching a brow to her next remark he wasn't so sure about going to this party the invite lay open on his kitchen counter.
Ares was dangerous and where Ares was Eris was sure to follow . which was more problem they fed off each other . Eris enjoyed the chaos and Ares was glad to supply it . not sure if I want to go to that . My brother don't get along besides no one would want my ugly mug there. though he smile the pain was clear in his voice .
money on both babe I vote on both. heading back to the anvil and where the molds laid. Once he started a project he liked to get things finished it was part of his ocd work ethic. That he had to develop during tthe time up in Olympus. Lonely moments were always filled when your hands and mind was busy with task. Aching void of nothingness didn't seem to last forever .
Cracking up the molds with his bare hands, Hephaestus made the daggers whole in seconds it wasn't much of task really. Through out the millenniums art form became like second nature to him. you don't owe me anything but I may owe you something a beer? Anyone who can best Ares is aces in my book and I'll do free gifts for you until you pass on speaking sheepishly wanting to know more about this demigoddess who bested Ares an tamed Dionysus.

A soft chuckle slipped past her lips as she listened to the god talk "We don't get along either but I'm going, so is Dionysus and Artemis and Aphrodite" she sighed thinking of the threats Dity already made to get her to at least dress up for the whole charade. She could hear the pain in his voice and see it cloud his gaze "It'd be easier if everyone went, that way if he tries anything homicidal he's outnumbered" she urged, it wasn't good to always seclude oneself, especially when your loved ones were there for you. Everyone, with the exception of Ares talked about good things when they mentioned Hephaestus. With the arrival of the gods in town she was more than curious to find out more about them, they were after all in some odd way her family. Some of them anyway.
"Thank you" she said gratefully with a gentle smile, it only goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover and there he was the the rough exterior and a soft heart "tell you what, beer's on me" she glanced down to the wristwatch to confirm her thoughts before continuing "My shift starts in a few, if you don't have any other projects to finish you're welcome to join. Mondays are always quiet, good time to talk and for a friend drinks are on the house" it'd be nice to get to know the god. Having Ares as a mutual enemy had it's own foundation for good conversation.
She stood up slipping her jacket over her shoulders with ease and correcting the mess it made to her already tangled hair. Annabelle waited patiently with a soft smile and bright eyes to hear his response, he'd done her a huge favor and the sadness she felt at the broken daggers were replaced with endless relief. And they looked even better than they did before, he truly had a talent.
"what'd you say?"

Hephaestus pondered Annabelle's offer . the god hadn't really been about the town. When he was hungry he order out , when he was in need of items for the home he order it . those things can be dropped off at he door. Crossing his arms over his chest ducking his head strands of hair tumbled over his face. no you don't say Dity and Dio going to a party that is news joking of course what was surprising is that Artemis was here.
I may go I don't know yet , it would be nice to see those three again. Shooting his head eyes turning dangerous with the threat of Ares going to hurt the family. The brutal warrior never understood that power was family and in return when you hurt or betray those that would give their life for you. Was a slap in the face to the ancestors the blood run through their veins. then I will come and bring my hammer in tow smiling at he image in mind of blasting the god in the side of the head .
The smile he had soon vanished when Annabelle offered a beer at he rabbit hole. Locking his jaw unwinding his arms left hand scratching the back of neck . I ...its not that .....Annabelle people will look . I wouldn't want to embarrass you in that manner . he spoke sheepishly . the voice of hera rung out very clearly in mind that he was monster. Though others have tried to make him forget that it still flashed within his head. how busy is not busy? if it was empty well mostly Hephaestus could see going . Bars are often dark so no one would really see him.

"Oh screw them, if I was embarrassed I wouldn't have offered" her honesty was reflected in her eyes, she felt nothing for the rude judgement others made, she saw Hephaestus as a good man with honorable values and whether people loved or loathed his appearance it made no difference to her. She saw nothing wrong with the god, after all it's whats inside that counts anyway. Her smile was gentle as she stood closer to the heat of the fire, feeling comforts closer to the dancing flames.
"There's this creep Andy who always drinks his sorrows in the corner" she explained with a chuckle "two idiots showing off at the pool table and and old fella who has three drinks, pays a good tip and leaves" she took a slight pause meeting his gaze "it's not busy at all, I usually have about five customers for the night, six 'cause Andy counts for two with all the trouble he causes" another soft chuckle escaped her lips, hopefully this was enough to convince the god to join her. A beer was the least she could do after his kindness towards her.
"I'll even dim the lights if it'll make you more comfortable" she added sincerely with a frown "but I really don't care what other people think, you have nothing to be ashamed off" a small determined grin slipped onto her face and she held her head to the side with an open arm "you coming or am I dragging you with me?" she joked stepping closer towards the door.

Holding his hands up in mock surrender, rumble of deep boisterous laughter fill the area. Hephaestus didn't have the heart to tell Anna that she had the capably to move him. But the more she tried to convince the more allowed walls to come down brick by brick. The patrons of the Establishment wouldn't seem like a problem it sound like . so just blending in may not be problematic for a divine one.
you don't have to drag me Annabelle. Are we to leave there now? just needing to know a head of time . might decide to clean up before departing down the rabbit hole. Waving a handover himself , the sweat and grim evaporated off his flesh in a cloud of steam. there now presentable to world if ido say so my self. offering up a lope sided grin.
I'll make a deal I'll go if you tell me some stuff about yourself I like to know whose in my family tree. Stirring up the big bad wolf in tizzy that's what Ares enjoyed calling himself the wolf but in truththe god was cowardly lion .
Family is power Always and forever
