Three hours of hard work the apartment had been exploded with Christmas joy, remembering that James told her how much he had enjoyed the holiday when he was a boy. wanted to give him new happy memories so she had went out of brought all the stops . Tree wreath lights ribbon smiling taking the first bite of her ice cream siting on the couch watching the lights twinkle shine . something about simplicity of sparkling lights can make anyone smile. Hearing the familiar jingle of James keys at he made the goddess jump up grabbing the small gift off the coffee table . rushing to the door opening giggling shouting out merry Christmas baby pulling him into kissing breaking it to see the shocked expression. I wanted to give you new memories with us I love you James Gently pulling her prince so he could see the magic show created Martha had nothing on a goddess when she was in love . and before you flip I know you said no gifts but I have something for you that I hope you adore. because it was made with love giggling once more if he knew how much irony fell with that sentence. Handing over the slender tiny pale blue box with a white ribbon. Unable to stop her enthusiasm and the perminate grin she had . hopefully James will excited about the pregnancy as much as she is ..holding her breath waiting for him to open the gift. Christmas. The time of great food, family, love and twinkling lights shining in decorated Christmas trees and shopping windows. Everywhere you looked there was Christmas. Together with the first flakes of snow that came falling down it all became like a scene out of the magazines. A little town filled with Christmas joy. With both of his hands tugged inside the pockets of his jacket, James walked past several houses where families were sitting together, enjoying each other’s company and eating as much as they could before they would open their presents. He would never admit it, but that small smile he had when he arrived at his own place was there because of one person. Lyssa. After a lot of years he might be able to celebrate Christmas again, with someone he truly loved. Even though they agreed on spending it without gifts, he just knew that it would be perfect, as long as he would have her company. James pulled out the keys of the entrance door. He didn’t had the chance to walk in as Lyssa pulled him into one of her passionate kisses. The warmth of her lips made him close his eyes and wrap his arms around her, dropping the keys onto the ground. The kiss stopped and slowly they broke the contact. James didn’t know what he had to say other than “I love you too.”He let her pull him inside the loft, swiftly kicking the keys inside. They would be a detail to deal with later. The whole loft got into the Christmas spirit. A tree, decorated with every shade of pink that existed, Christmas socks were hung up, bows, gingerbread mans, candy canes, sparkling lights, candles,…. Everything you could think of was there. Every detail had been add. His eyes wandered through the loft. He was speechless. All of it looked…. Perfect. It was then that Lyssa gave him a little present. James didn’t got the chance to tell her that it wasn’t a part of the deal they made. It was the way she smiled at him that made him forget about what they had discussed. Slowly he unwrapped the tiny present, getting rid of the bow and opened the blue box. His mind had to do the math for a little while to what he saw. A pregnancy test. Positive. James looked up from the box, holding it tightly. “Lyssa you’re….” once more his eyes had to confirm him what he thought that was going on as they checked the test once more. “We’re going to have a baby?” he wrapped his arms around Lyssa and gave her a passionate kiss. He couldn’t believe this. This was the most unexpected and most wanted present he could ever get. Not one single present could top this one. Lyssa Highman/Aphrodite

Nodding her head in enthusiasm Aphrodite had not been this relieved in ages . they hadn't talked about family or what direction their was heading . all that flew out the window when James held her tight and kissed her. Pressing her forehead on to his . staring loving into eyes , before releasing the hold she had on he prince .
now I know I went a tad bit over board but I wanted to make this special. This is really our first Christmas together and since baby makes three. I just wanted to give you a celebration like the ones you talked about. in Olympus they didn't celebrate the holiday but Dity found the way his face lit up when he spoke of it . James looked so enchanted and lighthearted.
Standing there for moment remembering she was baking cooking cookies . running into kitchen heavy black smoke rolled out the oven . sighing opening the windows in the room so air out the smoke. Keeping to her promise that no powers would be used in the apartment. This was there space and almost losing James made Dity how much she loved him.
I am sorry I burnt the cookie , walking out carrying the tray with two pink white polka dotted oven mitts. Twisting her face up in bitter annoyance. The fact she had butter up Granny into giving her this blasted gingerbread recipe ...which wasn't cheap the old wolf could almost out drink the dwarves. maybe if we scrap the burnt off them the cookies will still be good? she was not a cook the goddess knew her better qualities cooking wasnt even in her top hundred .

This day officially became one of the most unforgettable ones in James his life. Lyssa did all the effort she could to give him the kind of Christmas he once knew from his life at the Enchanted Forest. Him and his father might have had their differences but when it was Christmas every possible argument went to the background and the holiday got celebrated with all of their staff and more importantly every other royal from the nearby kingdoms. Now, quite some years later and living in Storybrooke, far from being a prince, James had never thought that celebrating Christmas would ever feel the same way like it did in the Enchanted Forest. “Lyssa, you made me the most grateful and happy man in this town right now. I’ve never felt this lucky before. I…” For the first time in whole his life James became speechless. It was then that Lyssa ran towards the kitchen. Smoke appeared from the room she went into, including the smell of burned food. He heard how she opened the window of the kitchen, trying to get the smoke and smell out of the loft before she walked towards him with a plate filled with burned cookies. James couldn’t keep himself from laughing when she gave him the option on scraping off the burned parts and eating what was left. “Babe, I’m sorry but, I’m not exactly sure if that would be a good idea. You know…. we can always make some new ones?” James walked towards her and gave a quick kiss on her cheek before entered the kitchen where a slight breeze from outside came in through the tilted window. “Are you two coming?” he yelled towards her, including the baby she was carrying in his question.
