Red was leaning against the wall next to the doors that led into Emma's rooms in the castle of Camelot. It wasn't that she didn't trust Lancelot or Charming or any of the other men she knew well to guard Emma, it was that she felt she was best suited for the job what with her enhanced wolf senses and ability to shift forms almost on command. Her strength was more than what one might expect just from looking at her as well. Another benefit of being a wolf. She was waiting for Emma to return to her rooms as the woman was off with Hook on a walk or something. She'd only not tagged along to protect her niece because she didn't want to be that kind of aunt who was overbearing and overprotective. It was bad enough that she was overprotective of her family, constantly checking to make sure they were fine and unharmed, she didn't want to become overbearing in the process. The cool stone against her back felt nice, for once. She was on constant edge in this place, and she didn't quite know why. Something here had her inner wolf's hackles on constant edge and not just because Emma was the new Dark One, no, it was more than that, it was worse than that. She could deal with her niece being the Dark One, because she knew one thing for sure and certain: The Charming-Swan-Mills-Lucas clan would never give up on one of their own. They would, collectively fight to the death for any member of their family. And Red would fight to her death to protect her Pack, her family, her clan. They were hers, and no one or no thing got to hurt or damage them without dealing with her. She'd only decided to take over "Emma guard duty" last night and so had shown up at Emma's rooms shortly after breakfast. The sound of footsteps broke Red from her thoughts, her right hand edging towards her belt and the steel dagger she had -once again- taken to wearing there. Emma Swan

The best way to show your love for those who are gone is to tell their stories.

The whole time she’d spent with Killian there was not one sign of Rumplestiltskin who loved to lure her more towards the darkness and the magic that went together with that. For a couple of hours she didn’t had to fight against the voices in her mind. For that short amount of time she was able to let go of the weight on her shoulders, only to replace it by remembering how it felt to spend time with the man she loved. Only one moment she was able to forget about her possible future as Dark One and embrace the relief that came together with having Killian near her. A small smile still lingered on her features as she walked through the hall way in the early morning, making her way back to her room. Her hands were fold together in front of her while the words Killian spoke to her echoed through her thoughts as she walked towards her room. It was the sight of Ruby standing near her room that made her stop in her tracks and get back to the present with her way of thinking. “Ruby?” a frown formed as she came closer to the woman who hold one of her hands on the handle of a steel dagger. “It’s only me….” Her eyes wandered towards the ground for a few seconds before locking them with the dark haired woman. “Have you been standing here for a long time? I thought you would know that I was with Killian..” For some reason it felt the same way as when she went on a first date with the pirate and came home with both of her parents waiting in the couch to listen to every detail of what happened. Emma realizes that everyone was worried about her and her future but it didn’t mean that all of the focus should be on her. It should be on the man that is being trapped inside that tree. The only man that can help her to get rid of the darkness that piled itself up inside of her. Red Riding Hood/Ruby Lucas
