Lancelot hurried behind Sir Bors . Arms full of practice swords. Since arriving to the castle the newly dubbed squire had to deal with moody but strict Knight. The small boy would for one reason only his goal of knighthood . Since being abandoned by his parents at early age Lancelot wanted to prove that he indeed mattered and was no longer sickly. Doing double time little legs doing a break neck speed to keep up. Once they were in the court yard sliding on to the cobble stone covered ground. Crashing into Bors legs dropping all the swords. Groaning knowing that his knight would be furious just for the reason alone today Prince James , Prince James would be studying with his teacher. Dropping down his knees gathering the weapons together so sorry your majesty apologizing for his clumsiness before the royal .

The sound of metal clinging against the ground of the courtyard made James look up from the knight who was talking to him and introduced himself as being his new teacher in sword fighting. The last knight who had been James his teacher got removed by George as being not worthy enough. The young prince never understood why that had happened as a lot of teaching didn’t happen already. Maybe his father just didn’t like the previous knight.
As the boy who’d dropped the practice swords onto the ground of the courtyard apologized for his clumsiness, James gestured to the knight that he had to wait for a little bit before walking towards him. The squire wasn’t that much older than the prince himself, which made the boy wonder why he wasn’t with the rest of his family right now instead of working for a knight of the kingdom already. “It’s okay, maybe next time it would be better to carry less things at the same time.” James gave the boy a small smile and bend down his knees to pick up some of the practice swords himself. “Is this the first time you are doing this? Because I haven’t seen you around yet.” James frowned as he hold some of the swords in his arms, waiting for the boy to collect the rest.

Lancelot froze as the prince knelt next to him beginning to help clean up the swords. Dropping his gaze to the ground if the knight wasn't angry before then surely he will be now. thank you my lord I will keep that in mind. I won't do this again I promise holding the swords in his arms once more . Slowly bringing his head up so to lock eyes with James.
Nodding his head but remembered that one must always speak to royalty aye your majesty I was given as a gift from the lady of the lake. One day I shall be the mightiest of knights the realm has ever seen. chimming in rather ethumastic . The lady had told him and there it must be so she would never lie not to him.

“The lady of the lake you say?” James placed the few swords that he was holding down where they should be at while he asked that question. “And what makes you so sure that this lady of the lake is telling you the truth?” the prince was curious to who that lady of the lake was and to what her powers were. By the squire’s words it seemed as if that woman knew a form of magic that not many did. “This woman you were talking about, this lady of the lake, can she predict the future then?” While his eyes kept their attention onto the squire, James gestured the knight who was supposed to teach him to sword fight. Once the man stood near him and the squire James turned his head and commanded him not to disturb for the next few hours. Their lesson will have to happen a bit later on that day. “So you are supposed to be one of the most mightiest knights in the kingdom when you are grown up.” James his eyes wandered up and down the boy, studying him and trying to see some logics in that prediction. “What if you don't become one of the most mightiest knights of the kingdom?”

For a tiny glare appeared on Lancelot face only vanish just as quickly. the lady doesn't lie. She guards mystic waters of Avalon . trusting the woman he called mother was what kept him alive when he was left in the woods. Looking back at James lance nodded his head aye she said I would be a knight in this kingdom . I will be she is always right in her predictions speaking a matter of factly. Frowning in confusion why was the prince halting his lessons? Had Lancelot done something wrong? Aye the mightiest of knights . I will be yes and then one day I will might a great king who will unite the realms. He will bring peace. smiling at the possibility of that . don't you believe me?

James listened carefully to what the boy was telling him. It kept getting better and better. “mystic waters of Avalon? I’ve never heard of such waters. What is that mystic about it?” The prince was sure that his father didn’t know anything about these mystic waters as well, otherwise he would have claimed them for himself a long time ago already. “You seem to be pretty sure of her predictions to become reality. To me it sounds more like a wild guess on believing her. What makes you that sure that she is telling you the truth? What if it’s not a lie to make you able to man up and start fighting for your dreams?” James narrowed his eyes and studied the boys movements. Body language could tell way more than words would do most of the time, something he’d learned from his father. Words can hide the truth, body language can’t. “It’s not about not believing you squire. It has more to do with the fact that what you are saying sounds pretty much like a dream instead of a prediction. Are you sure that this lady of the lake truly exists?” James crossed his arms in front of his chest, leaning his back against one of the nearby fences. There was a tiny part of what the squire told that brought his interest even more to the surface. “a great king you say? Who would that be? Do you know?”
