CLOSE YOUR EYES AND POINT. WHATEVER SPOT YOU PICK. THAT'S OUR HOME. Neal knew that ever since Emma Swan had come into his life, it had changed for the better. Yes, he was still in the same situation, but, at least he wasn't alone in it from now on. Neal had always felt he'd done better on his own, but, he had to admit he liked having a partner in crime again. However, he knew that Emma still had much to learn when it came to this lifestyle. Neal knew that she would probably figure parts of things out in time, but, that didn't mean he couldn't help move things along with her knowledge. It was also why he'd agreed when she'd asked him to do just that. It was one thing sweet-talking a cop, and, picking a lock, but, there was a lot more to this lifestyle that he'd had years of practice doing. Ever since breaking out of the workhouses all those years ago. At first he'd been an amateur at it too, and, had broken in somewhere and gotten caught. While this was something he didn't regret, Neal knew that next time he broke in somewhere he'd be more careful. Which had worked the next time around, and, everytime since. Feeling the sunshine go right into his eyes, Neal awoke and saw that it was still quite early as he looked his watch. Looking down next to him, he saw Emma was still asleep next to him, and, quickly and quietly as he could he slipped out of the car to find breakfast. Neal soon returned with coffee and pastries from a local coffee shop, hopefully the man leaving as he entered didn't notice he left with less money then he got back from the cashier. Oh well, it wasn't Neal's problem anyway. Soon he reached the yellow bug and entered inside, just as he heard Emma stir. Neal took a sip of the coffee and smiled down at her. “Morning Sleeping Beauty.” Neal said, as he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

With her forehead against the window of the yellow bug, her back turned towards Neal and a blanket covering her upper body, Emma was still deeply asleep when the early morning began. The sun warmed up the cold streets of the city and made little puddles slowly fade away until they were nothing more than fog in the air. Her and Neal slept in the yellow bug car for two weeks right now. The space was small but it was nice and warm when you were sleeping that close against each other. Emma didn’t need anything more than that. She didn’t need a fancy room with everything you’d ever wanted build into it, no, the back seat of this tiny yellow bug was perfectly fine. The noise and little movement of the car when Neal came back inside, made Emma wake up. The smell of coffee reached her nose and made her smile. She kept her eyes closed to block them from the obviously wide awake sun. “Good morning to you too. I wouldn’t say I’m a sleeping beauty but I take the offer of that coffee you brought me” Emma opened her eyes after Neal gave her a kiss on her forehead. “Did you went to that coffee shop at the corner of the street?” she lift up the blanket that was covering her body and shared it with Neal who’d done the effort to get some breakfast before taking over her own cup of coffee. The first sip was just heavenly. “Mmmm what a great way to start this day”Neal Cassidy

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND POINT. WHATEVER SPOT YOU PICK. THAT'S OUR HOME Sitting next to Emma in the bug, Neal felt like he didn't have to move or go anywhere to find somewhere else he wanted to be. She was all he had, and, all he needed. Keeping the cup next to him, Neal looked down at the necklace he still wore around his neck. The last and only thing he had that connected him to his father, and, his birth land. But, also reminded him of what the two of them could've had in this world together. Neal glanced out of the window, and, then turned back and looked down as he heard and felt Emma stirring next to him. “Well, I would say it. In fact I did.” Neal said, smiling softly. “Oh of course.” Neal moved back slightly after kissing her forehead as he saw her open her eyes. “Yeah, I did. Too bad that guy leaving just as I got there is a bit more short on money then he thought he was.” Neal knew that Emma would know what that meant. Moving aside Neal took part of the blanket and handed Emma the other coffee. The warmth of the coffee as well as Emma next to him was enough for the morning, and, felt a lot better then he thought it would. “That it is.” Neal took a sip of his own coffee, before pulling the pastries into view. “Any of these pick your fancy too?”

Emma embraced the cup of coffee with both of her hands, letting the warmth of the black gold warm up her skin at the palms of her hands while the little clouds of smoke started to make it quite the challenge to look through one of the windows from the car. By every sip she took from the coffee, her glasses got damped but the mischievous look on Neal’s features quickly got back into her view. “Poor man. Maybe he was on his way to buy his girlfriend some pastries and freshly made bread. Now he has to tell her that the bread was sold out” She gave Neal a fake pout, knowing that it was because of such little acts of thievery that the both of them were able to survive onto the streets. With the winter coming up, the days were becoming short and darkness seemed to be taking over the city like a shadow hovering over it for most of the hours of the day. Emma her eyes widened with delight when she saw the bag of pastries that Neal got for the both of them. “Really?! Pastries!” Emma was being excited. She’d been looking forward to these ones for almost two weeks now, but finally they had been able to save enough of money to get something extra in the form of pastries. “I’ll go for that bearclaw. It’s appearing in my dreams for already two weeks now. I feel like I deserve it” she playfully nudged him against his shoulder while she stayed close to him. “Neal… I want to talk to you about something..” she looked up to him “… could you teach me how to… you know… help with the way we get our money?” Neal Cassidy

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND POINT. WHATEVER SPOT YOU PICK. THAT'S OUR HOME Neal let the warmth of the coffee cup warm up his hands, sleeping in this car had really gotten to him in that area, but, it wasn't the worst cold he'd ever felt. No, that was when he was sleeping on the streets in London for the first 6 months of his life since being abandoned. Neal's mischievous smirk was always on his face, but, right now it was even bigger. Neal shrugged softly “Well then that's his bad luck. Too bad the rich man will have to go a couple more days without pastries and bread for his girlfriend. That's his problem then isn't it?” Neal said, sighing as he looked at her. Chuckling gently and shaking his head at Emma's fake pout, Neal smiled. It was these small acts, and, the things he'd learnt through his many years both aboard the Jolly Roger, and, back in this world that kept them able to at least survive in this lifestyle. The worst part was that Winter would soon be approaching, meaning that it would be both shorter and colder days, and, even colder nights. But, he had been able to handle it before, he could do it now. Especially with Emma by his side as well. Holding out the pastries Neal smiled at Emma's reaction. “Yeah really.” Neal said, placing the box closer to her. It had been a couple of weeks with their saving up of money, but, Neal was finally able to keep his promise about getting Emma some pastries. At her comment about the bearclaw, Neal couldn't help, but, chuckle. “Well, then you definitely deserve it. It's clearly trying to send you a message.” Looking down as she playfully nudged his shoulder, Neal smiled softly and stroked her hair, keeping his arm around her. “And what's that?” Neal asked, curious as to what her question was. At her question, Neal smiled softly before putting down the box of pastries. “I'm sure I could teach you a few things. If you really wanted me to.”

Emma took a bite of the bearclaw. Its taste was heavenly and certainly one she missed. It must have been quite some time since she last ate this. And now that they had a bit more money than usual it was the perfect timing to buy this treat once again. She was still chewing onto the pastry when Neal agreed on teaching her a few things. It made her sit up straighter “Really?!” her voice was muffled because of the food in her mouth, but that quickly got taken care of when she swallowed it. “Okay, after this bearclaw I feel like I’m going to be ready for the first thing you’re going to teach me. Please start with the stealing money one. I could help the both of us out so much if I would be able to do that. Then you wouldn’t be the only one trying to get us some money. At least I can bring in some as well then. Oh, maybe it will even go so well that we will be able to afford pastries every day of the week.” Emma couldn’t hide the excitement she felt by this. She already knew how to steal a car… she had proven that a few weeks ago. But opening a lock from a door was something completely different, just like stealing money. Those were things she could only learn from Neal. Neal Cassidy

Neal smiled as Emma bit into the bearclaw, before biting into one of the other pastries he had bought. He did enjoy the taste, and, Neal was glad he could provide both of them with treats like this. Even if it was just a once off for the time being.
He smiled softly at her reaction to him agreeing to teach her some things. Seeing her respond mid mouthful made him chuckle softly “Yes really.” Neal said, looking down at her. “We can start when-ever you want to, but, yeah we can start with the stealing money thing. It would definitely come in handy with our lifestyle here. If that's where you want to start, then I would be delighted to lend you a hand with that. You know I would do anything for you. The idea of more regular pastries definitely sounds intriguing.” Neal could tell that Emma was excited to learn some more tricks. It was obvious that she already knew how to steal a car, plus or minus one or two points that should've been considered. The main one being make sure it was empty. But, picking a lock and stealing money were different then that, and, a lot more complicated. Things that she would be best off learning from him. Emma quickly finished the bearclaw that he’d brought. She wanted to start with learning the tricks of the trade. The faster they could collect enough money to afford a better lifestyle, the better. The blonde liked their life together on how it was now, but there were moments when she wished to have an apartment, for just the two of them. She only never told Neal. “I know that you would do anything for me, but…” she paused while letting out a small smile. “… I don’t want you to be getting into trouble by doing that.” Her eyes wandered towards him while she pulled up the blanket that was draped over the both of them. “Maybe there is a chance for us to collect enough money to afford another place to sleep than the bug. With an actual bed and warm covers, pillows to drool on instead of each other’s shoulders and being able to take a warm shower after we woke up. That is what I want to have for the both of us. That is why I would like to learn all this so we might have a chance to get a normal life for once?” Emma liked how their lives were going now, but also knew that things would go way more smoothly if they could find a routine into it. It would be less adventurous but it would be way more easy to survive. Neal Cassidy

Neal continued to sip his coffee, before finishing up the crossiant that he was eating. It wasn't much of a breakfast, but, it was still better then what he'd had most of his life up until this point. Neal was glad that Emma wanted to learn the tricks of the trade, the sooner she did, the sooner they could both just have a better life. He wanted to settle down somewhere outside of the car, and, stop being thieves, just being happy. Neal would never reveal this to Emma though, they had a good life, and, he didn't want her to think he wasn't happy with the life they had. “Look, it's fine. There's always the risk of trouble when-ever I do this stuff without you. It's not going to make much difference teaching you.” Neal lifted up his arms gently, as Emma lifted the blanket to cover both of them. “I do like the sound of that. As much as I like your hair in my face and shoulder drool, but, I would love having a proper place to sleep. A normal life would be great, something that I haven't had in the longest time.” Neal loved the lives the two of them had together now, but, he would've loved some kind of guarantee in his life. And a routine of some kind. The life he was in was one had been one to survive. Maybe, the two of them could find an easier way to survive if they weren't on the road all the time. Emma Swan

“Then that makes two of us” Emma said with a small smile. The both of them didn’t exactly had a normal life. Growing up in an orphanage, staying at several foster parents who at the end decided to bring you back because you weren’t exactly what they were hoping for, being betrayed by several people you thought cared about you and were your friend. The list was quite long on reasons why the both of them were different from the rest of the people. Emma always had to stand up for herself from the moment she learned to talk and to walk, something that continued until now. At least now she had found someone who shared the same way of thinking and living. It made things way more easy from time to time. “Okay, you know, I’m ready. Let’s start with earning some money today.” She clapped her hands together before pushing away the blanket and leaving the yellow bug car. If they wanted their dream to become reality, then they had to start going. With a wide smile she knocked onto the tiny backseat window of the car while leaning forward to look through it. “Well, what are you waiting for? Are you going to teach me now are not?” her voice was playful and Emma shook her head by the sight of Neal being covered underneath the blanket and on the edge of snuggling into it once again.
