Nobody ever remembers coming to the island. They simply wake up not quite sure how they got there and only a few scant memories of who they might be.
-
The file folder they wake up with is the only concrete clue they have of who they are, everything else is fuzzy at best. Occasionally they have a dream that might be memories, and if they’re lucky, the occasional event that that sparks something, triggering more information.
-
The file also contains a note letting you know that you can’t leave and that you’re supposed to stay. That you’ll be provided for. But who is it from?
-
There is a large house filled with bedrooms, supplies that mysteriously appear as if from thin air, the ruins of what once looked to be some sort of housing, and the eerie white room that you woke up in.
-
The only other inhabitants of the island are just like you.
-
It’s up to you to piece together who you are, or decide who you will become. To try to leave, or make a life for yourself here.
-
HIDDEN BACKSTORY PLOT
-
They may look like celebrities, sound and act like the real deal. The Company will sell people whatever it is they want so long as they are willing to pay for it. Clones of celebrities implanted with the memories of the characters they have portrayed, the people they were based on, or whatever else it is you can dream up. Except after awhile the mind gets weak. You can only erase something so many times before it all starts to bleed back through. When a clone is no longer of use it’s time for elimination. Except murder is still murder, clone or not. It’s messy trying to keep it all quiet, half the services they offer aren’t exactly legal, and so not being able to put them out, they are put into storage.
-
The Island is a small property the Company owns, once used for the elaborate services offered, now just a dumping ground for the cloned celebrity dolls that are no longer of use.
-
Supplies are delivered as often as they are needed, essentially they want for nothing. Which is in their best interest really because there is no escape. The barriers and security measures set up around the island see to that.
