Slyly grinning bring his gaze down to the ground . His dad was holding his hand and they were going to see the Empire State Building . why do they call it that ? Is part of Empire? the in class in Storybrooke hadn't touch American history yet.
Few hours later many things viewed Neal had stopped got him a slice of pizza the size of his head. New York was awesome so many much to see and do Henry never wanted to leave ever. Biting into the slice of pepperoni pizza the boy looked at his dad maybe he could stay with Neal. Both Emma and Regina had lied to him so why would he wanted to be with them? Neal hadn't lied toward him. Plus he wanted to send more time with Neal. dad you are coming back with us to Storybrooke right? it was the one question he wanted to avoid because what if the grown up said no...

His grip on Henry's hand made him feel a tinge in his heart, a warmness he hadn't felt in years. Neal chuckled at Henry's question, as he looked down and kept his grip on Henry's hand. “You know what, I don't know Henry. I've been here for this long and never quite known” Neal said, smiling at his son.
Before he knew it, a few hours had passed. This time, however, it felt different around New York. This was one day that he didn't want to end anytime soon. Neal had taken Henry to so many sights around here and they were now sitting here eating pizza from the town Neal loved. Taking a bite of the ham and pineapple pizza he had gotten himself, he looked at Henry and smiled. With Henry here, this was the best pizza he'd ever had in this town. The bad part was, he knew that he would have to head back to his apartment soon, and he would be forced to be in the same room with his father again. Neal smiled as Henry continued to look at him, just as he looked at him. Trying to absorb the image into his head, just in case something tore them apart. If he could, he would tell Henry to stay here with him, but, he knew that may not go over so well. At his son's question, he put the slice on the table and looked at him “Honestly Henry, I wish I could answer that. But, I'd love that more then anything. An inviation would probably be needed.” Neal said, sad to not be able to say for sure that he'd be going with them. He hoped he would be invited, but, it would have to be by Emma, since he wasn't going to go if it was his papa asking him. Either way, he'd be going for Henry, not for him.

Invite he would need a invite. This could be handled Henry could talk to Emma. She would have to if he asked she owed him that much. The pain from the lies would still be real but would soften with this act she would have to see this.
Taking a another bite of the pizza sat there silently eating wondering if there was more to him not coming unless by invite. do you have another family? he asked wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Picking up his water taking a big gulp of it .
Screwing the cap of the water back on Henry licked his lips eyeing his dad. you would like Storybrooke the town is really nice. You would like my gramps and grams . Nothing ever really happens there very laid back and relaxed. Nothing like New York but I'll be there it was a simple last ditch effort with the end of the little speech henry threw in the one thing his mom couldn't say no to the puppy eyes. Widening them add bottom lip tremble.

It's nice to meet you Henry ------------------- ------------------- Needing an invite would definitely be a given, he couldn't just turn up in this town. He'd find a way to talk to Emma himself, if neither his father or Henry did, Neal wanted to get to know his son, but, didn't want to go to this town uninvited.
He took another bite of his pizza and stared at Henry, a warmness in his heart. A warmness that hadn't been there in years, and he didn't hate it. At Henry's question, he lowered his pizza slice and swallowed before looking at him "No, well, not really. I mean, I do have a fiancée and she'll come with me anywhere. Even if it's to this town Storybrooke."
Neal took a sip of his drink as he looked around, before glancing back at Henry. Hearing him talk about this town known as Storybrooke, he smiled softly. At the end of Henry's explanation, he chuckled softly before smirking at the puppy dog look. "I used to do that same look to your grandfather years ago." Neal said, before lowering his head slightly. "You don't have to do it with me. I want to be with you."

He had found someone else? Giving Neal a questioning look did he not love his mom? Frowning pushing the pizza away what should be a really happy time for Henry kind of went dark on him. Yes his dad said he wanted to be with him but he was now with some woman who probably didn't want kids . Sighing deeply folding his arms on the table is she nicer then mom? Do you not love mom any more ? henry wanted to know he was curious because then maybe just maybe there was hope of them getting back together . if you want to come then ask my mom I am sure she will say yes especially if you tell her I would like you go Emma couldn't denied him this could she ?

Seeing that look on Henry's face, he knew that he was kind of sad to hear about his new relationship with Tamara, but, it was an honest answer to his question. Neal put his own pizza down and looked at Henry, waiting for him to say something. Neal hated being the one to place that disappointed look on his own son's face. Neal wanted to be with Henry, and he was sure Tamara would love him as well. Even if she didn't, Neal wouldn't let that stop him from being with Henry, and he was sure they'd get used to it in time. “Well, she's nice, probably as nice as your mum is. As for loving your mother, of course I do, a part of me always will, but, it's been quite a few years Henry.” Neal said, smiling softly at him. Neal knew that Henry was probably hoping that he and Emma would probably be able to get back together one day. He was his age once, even if he knew there was less hope of his parents getting back together, due to his mum being dead. “I'll work on it. I'll talk to your mum about coming with you. I may do just that. Say that our son wants me to come.”

Neal would try he would try to come back. those few tiny words made the a large grin spread over his young features. It was seed of hope Henry knew that but out of seed can grow a something . Remembering Emma when she didn't believe Henry had planted seed after seed of belief until he knew a catalyst would be needed the turn over . fate had stepped in once before surely fate would step in this time. they wouldn't let them meet just to have to them separate so quickly? holding out his hand to his dad should we shake on it then? to seal the deal? to Henry this would be a great day after all. after this should we head back I'm sure Emma and Mr. Gold have worried about us long enough. chuckling lightly they probably have freaked out getting ready to call the cops. Neal didn't want to make a promise that he would come back to Storybrooke, but, one thing he could promise was that he would try and come back with them. He would talk to Emma, if his father wasn't already planning to do that, about him possibly popping into Storybrooke every now and then, even if he didn't stay there for good. Neal wasn't new to re-locating somewhere, it had been his whole life since he was 14, at least before this city New York. Maybe, fate would take over and they would find a way to be together, and not be forced apart from each other.
Seeing Henry hold out his hand, his eyebrows rose slightly, seeing himself in Henry, but, he was his papa. “That we shall. The deal is struck” Neal said, hearing his 14 year old self saying these exact words, as he took Henry's hand in his. “You know what? I don't care if my papa worries about me. But, you're right, I should get you back. Meaning me as well.” Neal looked at Henry, he knew that by now one of them had caught on that Henry had come with him. Of course, if they called the cops, then he could report them for breaking into his apartment in the first place.

The deal was struck those words rung out in his head. It must have done the same for his dad. Neal looked as if he was thousand miles away when he shook hands. Henry had to really focus himself so he wouldn't dance with joy for the possibility of having Neal come home with him. your going to love Storybrooke! We will have such amazing time we will have to introduce you to my other mom she was the Evil Queen but she is changing. And I can take you around okay so maybe he didn't play it cool. Smiling dropping his arms down when he started about head back yes I can talk to Mom with you want ? I can help I have dimples its hard to say no to this smile nodding his head pointing to his smile.

'The deal is struck' Neal was hearing that echo in his head from his 14 year old self, while his present day self was saying it to Henry. Neal hoped that Henry didn't notice him being vacantly absent like that, and he brought himself back into the present. Neal knew that he could keep this promise, the promise of him trying to. That way, if he couldn't find a way, Neal could say that he didn't break the promise made to his son. “I'm sure I will Henry. I'd love to meet your other mum, even if she doesn't really like me straight away. At least when you show me Storybrooke, we won't have to be sneaky about it.” Neal said, smiling at his son. Mentioning having to go to his apartment to get Henry back, he sighed and looked around before glancing back at Henry. Chuckling softly at Henry's comment about the dimples, he shook his head softly. “Nah, I think it may be better if I talk to her myself. But, I'll keep that in mind.”
